The purposes of this study was to analyze the operational difference of foodservice center for homebound elderly by the presence of the dietitian. The questionnaire was developed to measure all variables for menu management and distributed to 103 meal service centers in charge of congregate meal service program and 57 centers for home-delivered meal service program. The data of 160 centers in charge of congregate meal service and home-delivered service centers were usable for analysis. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SAS 8.1 package program for descriptive analysis and chi-square test. Only 21.9% meal service centers had dietitians, what is more, they were not professionals who did menu management but foodservice managers, volunteers, cook or social workers. The current foodservice programs for the homebound elderly were operated without professional. In the part of menu managemet, dietitians were more actively involved in menu planning in the elderly foodservice center in the presence of the dietitians. The performance level of healthcare service was not significantly different, but the nutrition education in the elderly foodservice center with the dietitians was more frequently performed than that without the dietitians(p<0.05). In the food purchasing and food production management, the significant differences were shown that in the elderly foodservice centers in the presence of the dietitians, the proportion of the contract purchasing was significantly higher than that of direct purchasing(p<0.01). In food sanitary management, the significant differences were not shown in the part of management of keeping meal for identifying the cause of food-borne illness and left-over, but the sanitation education for the foodservice employees was performed more frequently by the presence of the dietitians(p<0.01). In conclusion, the foodservice management was more systematically conducted in the elderly foodservice centers in the presence of the dietitians than that without dietitians. The elderly foodservice program has offered the health-related support for homebound elderly. Although there were several problems in elderly foodservice management, the program delivered well-targeted, effective, and efficient nutrition services and wide range of supportive service to the at-risk older population. It needs to be managed by professional for the improvement in the elderly foodservice.
Technology-driven innovation and job-creation has each been the subject of much scholarly attention, but have largely been considered separately rather than in conjunction with each other. While the previous literature on economics pinpointed the macro effects on industry-level, this study explores the micro-level comparisons on innovation sources over the employment and financial performances. The PSM (propensity-score matching) analysis presents that firms, involved in an inward technology, tend to have higher employees with dominant technology capabilities than in-house R&D firms. The in-house R&D firms, on the contrary, have superior financial performances, suggesting that external technology commercialized firms suffer from low transformative efficiency. The mediation test analysis corroborates that the external technology-driven innovation induces more human resources in internalizing the exogenous technology. The positive relationship between R&D innovation and employment allow verification of the government's intervention in the promotion of technology commercialization in public sector. On the other hand, it also signals that the policy needs to enhance the recipient firms' commercializing capacity rather than a 'one-hit' transaction.

The aim of this study is to consider the degree of supply-demand balance in relation to the characteristics of retail sale activities in depopulation aging regions and the degree of aging by using simple regression analysis. The major findings of this study are as follows. While aging society, and aged society regions show a similar major retail sale industries, super-aged society shows fewer major industries and different industry composition. These characteristics are seen by different phenomenon and the background of the particular retail structure. The first one is that the number of employees per establishment increases when the aging phenomenon is not accelerated, and the annual sales per capita purchasing power decrease because their purchasing power becomes lower when the aging phenomenon is severe, but it also shows a high density of establishments because disperse location of establishment within depopulation aging region. The second one is the retail structure with high labor productivity in a aged and superaged society region. We identify the extent of demand and supply in general retails, fuel retails, food and beverage, and tobacco retails which represent the highest sales rates in depopulation aging region. As a result, general retails are seen as 'supply-demand balance region' in aged and super-aged society, fuel retail sales in aged and super-aged society which generally shows less sales, and food and beverages, and tobacco retails in super-aged society. The higher the degree of aging is, the less the regional differences in the gap between demand and supply is. This is because the difference in purchasing power between these regions is small.
'Venture firms' in Korea are the firms who are certified as 'venture', whose certification types are defined by a law ('Special Law for the Support of Venture Firms'), and therefore encompass not only the venture capital-financed companies, which are usually regarded as ventures in USA and European countries, but also other types of firms such as R&D-intensive firms and the firms with financial guarantee or loans through technology evaluation ('technology finance or loan firms'). This paper examines the differences in the Korean venture firms' growth between the venture certification types. For the empirical analysis, this paper uses the lists of venture-certified firms from 1998 to 2010 which are then linked with their financial data in Korea Enterprises Database (KED). According to the results of empirical analyses, the companies in the 'venture capital-financed firms' type show greater growth rate in sales and the number of regular employees 3 and 5 years after first venture certification than the firms in type of 'technology finance/loan firms'. Moreover, the newly certified companies in 'R&D-intensive firms' type are also showing faster growth than the 'technology finance/loan firms' since 2003 where the venture industry has undergone a consolidation phase after the blast of so-called 'IT venture bubble' in 2001~2002. These results imply that the so-called 'venture firms' in Korea are composed with heterogeneous firm groups with different characteristics and that the companies selected through market mechanism ('venture capital-financed firms') outperforms the companies selected on the basis of policy interests ('technology finance/loan firms') in terms of the growth in sales and employment. On the basis of these findings, this paper suggests that the current venture-support policy should consider the different policy demands of firms across the type of venture certification more actively and that should refocus the objective of policies on facilitating venture capital market rather than emphasizing the nominal increase in the number of venture-certified firms.

IMO(International Maritime Organization) is existed the movement for revising ISM Code so that the maintenance history and the trouble information given trading in a ship can be transferred. An empirical analysis was made on the influence that will have upon shipping industry through surveying on the recognition on ISM Code revision in employees of the relevant field and on the expected problems given being amended ISM Code as the above. In conclusion, the positive effect is judged to be more in the aspect of ship safety, which is the aim of ISM Code, rather than the negative effect, which may take place given being revised ISM Code. In other words, the clean market can be formed through this because fairness is maintained on both sides given trading in a ship by which opening the maintenance record and the trouble history is applied equally to a buyer and a seller. Ships can be reduced a loss of time and cost in preventing similar problems and seeking solution that may appear in important equipments, through this maintenance record. Also, based on these materials, it comes to be available for analyzing a risk of ship and preventing and managing a risk, thereby being increased ability of maintenance and repair in a ship, resulting in being judged to likely contributing to ship safety and environmental-pollution prevention.
Korea's economic development plans instituted in the 1970's, affected by the growth centered policy and rapid industrialization, have prevailed without having aviation safety management system, along with the safety of the other various means of transportation, settled in its place, and subsequently, the aviation accidents occurred until the beginning of year 2000 have incurred an enormous social expense, not to say of a massive loss of human lives. Especially, with regard to the causal factors of accidents, most of recent accidents have been associated with human factor of airmen, thus, only if this can be detected in advance and prevented, the aircraft accident rate will be reduced by a large margin. Therefore, in order to develope improvement methods on the safety system of civil aviation, in this study, safety management system has been divided into three stages: an advance preventive system, a handling system at an accident's occurrence and a post accident handling system, and thereby improvement methods on aviation safety have been suggested for each stage. The threatening factors agatinst aviation safety have been found to be the absence of management standards and regulations, the indifference to or the lack of the law abiding apirit as major factors, and in order to improve on which, it is required that the settlement of the institutional safety management system should precede, and that the Government and the aviation industry should also make a continuous effort to identify the threatening factors against aviation safety, and to provide incentives for the law abiding spirit and the attitude of giving top priority to safety to spread among all the employees.
Under the quickly changing health care environment in our society competitions among hospitals are getting harder and accordingly the hospital authorities do their best efforts to renovate their hospital management and let directors of food and nutrition services in hospital be seeking the drastic changes in their clinic-support operations. To attain this end it is essential to build an information system in food and nutrition services in hospital for practicing those operational changes efficiently. By building an information system we can totally manage a number of information about hospital food and nutrition services. This kind of information system can not only relieve dieticians and food-service workers from their repetitively routine jobs, but also connect with hospital management information systems organically. Resultantly productivity in this service area can be improved and the efficiency of hospital management will be increased. And accordingly the competitive advantage of the hospital can be greater than ever and that brings patients' and hospital employees' satisfaction. I would like to name this kind of information system for hospital food and nutrition services "TASTY", abbreviated from "Time-based Advanced Service Technology for Yong-Dong Severance Hospital, Nutrition Department" There are one basic information management area and five business management areas in TASTY. Five specific business areas are divided by menu, procurement, clinical nutrition service, production(including distribution and meal service), and financial management.inancial management.
South Korea has recently emerged as one of the leading countries conducting clinical trials. Seoul, for instance, is now ranked at the top of the list among the cities in the world. This paper examines the rapid growth of research involving human subjects in Korea, not just from the economic perspective (e.g., the growth of global pharmaceutical markets and the subsequent increase in the demand for clinical trials), but from the policy perspective (e.g., the government?s drive to support and promote this field as a new industry). The industrialization of clinical trials in Korea has manifested itself in the rise of international Contract Research Organizations (CRO) doing their business in Korea. They are, figuratively speaking, invited to Korea by the government. This paper intends to uncover and discuss the bioethical issues concerning research on human subjects, the issues that tend to be set aside merely as procedural ones like ??workable documents??. To this end, it investigates the practice of clinical trials by collecting hitherto unherad voices from patient-volunteers, physician-researchers, CRO employees, and government officials. This paper also explores the themes of ??ethical variability?? and ??biocapital?? in order to compare and constrast the case in Korea with those in other countries.
The term environmental, social and governance (ESG) was first used in the 2003 United Nations Environmental Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). Among the three areas of ESG, environment refers to the impact of companies on the environment. Environmental factors address climate change policies and attempts to reduce emissions, waste and natural resource consumption. Social factors refer to the direction in which a company can improve the social impact of stakeholder includes employees, customers, communities, and governments involved in direct or indirect interaction with the organization itself and the company. Governance factors refer to stakeholders who make major decisions, the composition of the board of directors, their diversity and independence, and the internal policies that set limits and expectations for decision-making. Research related to ESG management is part of corporate social responsibility, sustainability, corporate or financial performance, and social responsibility investment. Through case studies and data-based empirical studies, it was confirmed that ESG management companies had positive results for most of the ESG related fields. Through literature analysis of domestic and international ESG history, introduction background, and management performance, this paper presents theoretical, practical implications by confirming that ESG's introduction and operation strategies are strong competitive strategies that directly affect corporate growth by creating attractive factors.
This research emphasized that the importance of work-family conflict elements such as time-based conflict, strain-based conflict, behavior-based conflict and verify the effects of these three elements on organizational commitment through the moderating effects of Job autonomy. The research results are as follows. First, behavioral-based conflict, a element of work-family conflict, was found to have a negative effect on organizational commitment, but time-based conflict and strain-based conflict were verified to have no effect. Second, strain-based conflict and behavior-based conflict, which are elements of family-work conflict, were found to have a negative effect on organizational commitment, but time-based conflict was verified to have no effect. Third, job autonomy had a moderating effect in the relationship between behavior-based conflict and organizational commitment. Fourth, as a result of verifying the moderating effects of job autonomy in the relationship between family-work conflict and organizational commitment, it was found that job autonomy had moderating effects in the relationship between strain-based conflict, behavior-based conflict and organizational commitment.
