원 스테이션 파스너 자동포장기 개발(II) : 제작 및 성능검증 (Development of Automatic Packing System of One Station for Fasteners(II) : Packing System Manufacture and Performance Test)

  • In general, the purpose of packaging fasteners is a series of management activities to maintain the condition at the time of production until they get delivered to the end user. An automatic packing system for fasteners is consisted of bucket conveyor, slide feeder, vision inspection system, box-magazine conveyor system and automatic packing machine. Also, the automatic packing machine is consisted of six modules including charging device, clamping/opening device, sealing/cutting device, feeding/air-shower device, supplying/adjusting device and device frame, etc. In this paper, we proposed an automatic packing mechanism of the one station concept for packing work of fastener objects where the continuous batch work is performed in a finite space. The proposed one-station packing mechanism has been optimized through mechanical, dynamical, structural and fluid analyses. And it had been manufactured as the prototype of automatic packing machine. The field test for validation of performance was performed directly at the production line of bolt and screw. In the field test, this packing machine showed an efficiency of about 4.5 times the manual operation. It also showed 30% reduction in the consumption of packing materials compared to the manual operation. This automatic packing machine for fastener objects will be commercialized soon.

스트레치 센서를 이용한 말더듬 치료 훈련기의 개발 (Development of stuttering treatment practice device using stretch sensors)

  • Using stretch sensors, a stuttering treatment training device that improve the abnormal breathing of stutterer was designed and developed. To improve stutterer's inadequate breathing method that is one of principal reason of stammering, the device estimates breathing method by checking the changes of the stretch sensor's resistances those are put on the chest and abdomen of user. And a vocal exercise program that carry out exercises only when the user maintains the abdominal breathing was designed. Using a PIC16C711 device that includes an A/D convertor, a main controller was designed and the vocal exercises software was developed using Director and C program with graphic user interface for user convenience. The controller sends the resistance data of sensors to PC through the serial port and the software verifies the breathing method. And the device was designed that the RTS (request to send) pin of serial port in PC is used as a power source so that it can work without any battery or other power source. Three stutterers have carried out the clinical experiments using the implemented device for two months and the results showed it was excellent to alleviate the stuttering.

무선 전송 장치를 이용한 열차정보 수집 장치 개선 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study for Application of Train Information Collection Device using RTD System)

  • 현대의 도시철도차량 시스템은 복잡하고 첨단화 되어 있으며, 상호 인터페이스 체계를 구축하고 있는 차량 유지보수시스템의 체계적인 종합관리가 필요하다. 본 연구는 무선 전송 장치를 이용하여 전동차 정보 자동 수집 장치를 도입 적용한 사례에 대한 분석 결과이다. 무선 전송 장치는 차량기지로 입고한 전동차 열차종합 제어장치에 수집된 각종 정보를 무선 통신으로 데이터를 전송함으로써 유지보수 비용절감과 데이터 전송의 신뢰성 향상 효과가 있으며 이러한 무선 전송 장치를 도입 적용하여 기존의 열차정보수집 방법을 개선한 운용 사례를 제시한다.

진동모터로 구성된 햅틱 디바이스를 이용한 장애물 정보 전달 및 제어 방법 (Obstacle Information Transfer and Control Method using Haptic Device consist of Vibration Motors)

  • In this paper, a new haptic device is proposed for the teleoperation, which can recognize the invisible environment of a mobile robot. With this new device, it is possible for the user to identify the location of an obstacle and to avoid it. The haptic device has been attached on the top of a joystick so that the user can remotely control the mobile robot to avoid the obstacles which are recognized by the ultrasonic sensors. Also, the invisible environment is recognized more accurately overlapping the data from the ultrasonic sensors. There are five vibration motors in the haptic device to indicate the direction of the obstacle. So the direction of the obstacle can be recognized by the vibration at the finger on each vibration motor. For various situations and surrounding environments, experiments are performed using fuzzy controller and overlapping ultrasonic sensors. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed haptic joystick.

  • IoT환경에서 센서 디바이스의 사용이 증가함에 따라 보안에 대한 필요성도 중요해지고 있다. 센서 디바이스가 IEEE 802.15.4 기반 LoWPAN에 배치되는 경우 필수적으로 PAN Coordinator와의 가입 과정이 수행되고 후속적으로 디바이스 간 바인딩 과정이 진행된다. 가입 및 바인딩 과정에서는 사전 분배된 네트워크 키 또는 인증서를 이용해 디바이스의 인증 및 키 분배를 한다. 하지만, 기존 방식에서 사용하는 네트워크 키는 그룹인증에 한정된 역할을 하며 인증서의 발급에서도 개별식별이 이루어지지 않는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 사전 분배된 네트워크 키의 문제점을 보완한 LoWPAN 환경에서 디바이스의 안전한 가입 및 바인딩 프로토콜을 제안한다.

프레스 공정 단축을 위한 회전식 트랜스퍼 성형장치 개발 (Development of Rotary Transfer Forming Device for Process Reduction in Forming)

  • Although the transfer forming process has various advantages, it is also inefficient for the use of multiple press machines, especially for small part sizes. In this study, a new forming process was proposed to use multiple tandem dies in a single press machine. A rotary transfer forming device was developed to combine the advantages of the progressive and transfer forming process. In this study, a detailed forming process using this device was analyzed, and the device was designed to perform four series of tandem forming processes in a single press. In order to analyze the feasibility of this forming process, simple forming dies were made. As a result, the position accuracy was 4 arcsec, and the forming speed reached up to 20 strokes per minute. It is thought that this rotary transfer forming device can help to save initial setup costs through the more efficient use of space in a press machine.

공동주택 화재 경보음 전달특성과 개선방안 고찰 (An Study on the Sound Attenuation and the Improvement in Hearing Condition of Fire Alarm Device in Apartment Buildings)

  • In many fire emergencies, the auditory fire alarm signals are very important to save the occupant's life. But as the sound insulation of building elements has been improved, it is more difficult for occupant to recognize the fire alarm signals when the audible fire alarm worked. This is the first study to show the sound attenuation of audible fire alarm device in apartments. We measured and analyzed the sound attenuation level in seven units. The result showed that it was not sufficient to detect the sound from the fire alarm device in bedrooms. Whether the fire alarm device worked or not, the differences of sound level in bedrooms were below 1$\sim$10 dBA. To give the minimum sound level 60 dBA in bedrooms, the proper sound levels from alarm device installed in livingrooms were suggested using computer simulation.

  • Neuromodulation was introduced for patients with poor outcomes from the existing traditional treatment approaches. It is well-established as an alternative, novel treatment option for voiding dysfunction. The current system of neuromodulation uses an open-loop system that only delivers continuous stimulation without considering the patient's state changes. Though the conventional open-loop system has shown positive clinical results, it can cause problems such as decreased efficacy over time due to neural habituation, higher risk of tissue damage, and lower battery life. Therefore, there is a need for a closed-loop system to overcome the disadvantages of existing systems. The closed-loop neuromodulation includes a system to monitor and stimulate micturition reflex pathways from the lower urinary tract, as well as the central nervous system. In this paper, we reviewed the current technological status to measure biomarker for closed-loop neuromodulation systems for voiding dysfunction.

Smart Device의 MAC Address를 이용한 건물 출입통제 시스템 (Building Access Control System Using MAC Address of Smart Device)

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 디바이스의 MAC address를 이용한 bluetooth 기반의 건물 출입통제 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 출입통제 시스템은 서버에 등록된 MAC address와 출입자의 스마트 디바이스 MAC address를 비교하여 일치 여부에 따라 출입통제가 이루어진다. 실험 결과, 스마트 디바이스와 bluetooth 모듈의 bluetooth 페어링만으로 출입문의 통제가 가능하기 때문에 별도의 출입 도구가 필요하지 않고, 출입 승인을 위한 행동이 생략됨에 따라 기존 출입통제 시스템에 비해 출입 승인절차가 간소화되어 편의성을 향상시킬 수 있다.

A Study on the Development of Arduino-Electrochemical Cell and the Exploration of Educational Possibilities from the Perspective of Learning by Making

  • In this study, the new electrochemical cell device using Arduino and sensor was developed, and experiments of changes in voltage at the time of serial and parallel connection of electrochemical cells were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the device. In addition, in order to examine the educational effects of the device, student's inquiry activities of measuring voltage of electrochemical cells and making objects using the voltage difference were conducted. As a result, it was confirmed that the electrochemical device using Arduino and sensor could not only perform automatic measurements and visualize data but also have a possibility to seek various educational effects through easy coding and modification of the device. Based on the results of students' performance, it was found that experimental activities using the device impart a positive effect not only on the understanding of scientific concepts, but also on the development of the practical ability to apply scientific knowledges to the real life. Educational implications are discussed in terms of 'learning by making'.
