  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of IT based convergence product and purchase attitude. These results of the research model provide that the relationship between IT based convergence and purchase attitude. This study provide that the value of convergence is a tool for the firm's competitive power. The firms strengthen the value for a successful market entry.

  • Convergence being process varietly and quickly, with complex products and services based on digital technology and with start its creating new form of products and service, influenced to diversity of consumers need, and social trend. Thus, in this paper, convergence it presents the application instance according to variation of the convergence commit, and observed the advantage which is the possibility of appearing from here, it has the necessity of the effect and the policy preparatio, appearing on it try the electronic government of domestic convergence with role of the u-Gov due to an evolution with convergence, for it attains the administrative idea which u-Gov pursues. And by convergence analysis of issue, hereafter it presented a policy propulsion direction of convergence.

  • Many companies launched convergence products that are merged with several functions. Mobile convergence has some advantages such as portable convenience, usability of use, economic advantage that takes parts of the common component among products in the aspects of the digital products. Even though a plenty of items launched by convergence boom in the market, not tons of convergence products succeeded in the market because One of the major reasons is that companies don't take consumer evaluations in the process of the product development. It is important to set up infrastructure and excellent quality of the products for lasting the lifecycle of the convergence items. But, above all, it is imperative to find out how consumers evaluate convergence products and what they are affected to meet their satisfaction. Nevertheless, there are few case studies about consumer evaluations in mobile convergence until now. This study is to find out how consumers evaluate convergence products and what is the factor. This study surveyed 158 subjects and used multi-regression analysis and ANOVA(analysis of variance). The results of this study show that factors such as relative advantages, complexity, observability, perceived convenience affect the attitude of consumers.

  • The traditional way for convergence of smart appliances was software integrations on middleware. It is possible advantage to integrate easily and quickly with this way. But basically the middleware approach is slowly executed as it is huge the size of software. To solve this problem, we suggest a modeling tool for convergence. As we can execute and generate the automatic source code at the design phase with our modeling tool, it is possible to do software integration without the middleware. We use one example of U-Home environment to show the convergence for TV and the door lock system. With our approach, we will be able quickly to develop the convergent products what the customers desire with inexpensiveness, that is, the convergence of smart appliances without the middleware.

Purchasing Avoidance of Digital Convergence Products: Focusing on the Customer's Psychological Factors and the Innovation Resistance (디지털 컨버전스제품 구매회피에 관한 연구: 소비자의 심리적 요인과 혁신저항을 중심으로)

  • There is a big attention to digital convergence products(DCP) nowadays. However, consumers' response on the DCP is not always positive. These products may not match consumers' value and consumers may not know how to use them, because the DCP is generally innovative products. DCP marketers should learn that why consumers do not purchase them. Thus, this paper examines and identifies the consumers' purchase-avoiding psychological factors and antecedents on DCP. In detail, It is empirically checked that how the relationship between purchase-preventing factors such as complexity, incongruence, uncertainty, and unreasonability and purchase-avoiding psychological factors such as dissonance, innovation resistence, and perceived loss is. Also, these purchase-avoiding psychological factors' influence on the purchase-intention is empirically checked. As results, complexity and incongruence have an effect on the innovation resistence significantly. Uncertainty and unreasonability influence perceived loss variable. Unreasonability also influences consumers' cognitive dissonance variable. Additionally, cognitive dissonance have an influence on innovation resistence positively, and such innovation resistence influence consumer's purchase-intention negatively. Therefore, marketers should think twice about the roles of these purchase-preventing factors before launching.

  • In 2011, Government introduced "IT Convergence Technology Prediction Survey 2025". This report includes 10 ICT industries. Convergence was combined with a word 'digital'. Digital convergence means a service or new product which appeared through fusion of unit technologies in information and communication regions. The effects of convergence technologies and social phenomenons are visualized in overall regions of society such as economy, society, culture, etc. In this paper, we described a prospects and technologies needed in digital convergence environment. And we described IT-Building, IT-Car, IT-Medicine, IT-Textile which was related with our lives in today among 10 ICT industries.

  • 요즘 디지털 컨버전스(융∙복합화)는 대세다. 프린터복합기뿐이 아니다. 다양한 엔터테인먼트 기능의 첨단‘컨버전스(Convergence) 단말기’들이 전성시대를 이루고 있다.   • This study testified the influence factors like quantities of advertising, number of hardware and software that are converged, effect on feature fatigue of convergence product. When consumers perceive higher numbers of hardwares in a smart phone, they feel its higher usefulness and complexity. This means that numbers of hardwares is the major factor that enhances consumer's usefulness but, at the same time, it cause perceived leads to higher usefulness in using smart phone, it didn't effect on complexities. It is also important strategy for smart phone companies to provide a lot of useful softwares(applications) to satisfy consumers. Finally, complexity was important factor that lead to higher feature fatigue of consumers. This indicates that smart phone companies have to find adequate numbers of convergence for their new smart phone.

  • This study is a comparatively analyzes innovation tools for developing appropriate business models according to the types of convergence. Firstly, it examines previous studies on the type of convergence, business models, and innovation tools. Based on the understanding of each topic through literature search, it introduces Convergence-Business-Innovation Tools Cube (CBI Cube) model with the concept of developing innovative business models by applying innovation tools under the condition of convergence. In order to quantify (concretize) the concept, we have compared the relative priority of innovation tools for developing business models to find component factors of CBI Cube model through the survey of an expert group by adopting DelPhi method and AHP method. From the result of this study, we expect to be able to make an easier approach to the development of innovative products, services and market as it allo ws to develop business models of value innovation beyond just benchmarking or simple imitation of existing business models.
