A Study on Competitiveness Changes of Specialty Construction Firms Under No Restriction in General and Specialty Contracting (겸업제한 폐지에 따른 전문건설업체의 경쟁력 요소 변화에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the restriction of contracting business between general and specialty contractors are deregulated, which means the elimination of the traditional market entry block in the Korean construction industry. It could be a threat and/or an opportunity to construction firms, and requires establishing new business strategies in order to obtain relative competitiveness between the general and the specialty. Under this change in the industry, this research performed to provide some suggestions for specialty firms in setting up their new business strategies by analyzing various changes of their competitiveness elements. This study extracted 20 core competitiveness elements from major 6 competitive categories required in doing specialty contracting business, and their relative importance between the 20 elements were measured. It was found that the specialty's relative competitiveness has been greatly changed and affected by the deregulation of the protective business restriction.

  • Recent automotive market is changing rapidly with eco-friendly, fuel-efficient, unmanned autonomous. In order to grow domestic automotive industry, various companies such as IT, marketing, advertising/PR, production/manufacturing, distribution have to need the fused global value chain(GVC) production system. The purpose of this study is that Small parts makers will look for support measures to enter the GVC of global automakers. To this end, to examine the status and cooperation between vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers in GVC. Part SMEs will look for Realistic and possible support policy direction needed to enter the carmakers GVC. In order that the small parts company have to enter the GVC of the car manufacturers in the automotive industry, the small parts company should understand the nature and governance of large corporations that operate the GVC, and develop a tailored strategy.

  • 최근 전산화를 위한 대형 IT 프로젝트가 증가 하고 있다. IT 프로젝트를 수행하기 위해서 DB, Server 등과 같은 S/W, H/W 제품과 구현을 수행할 SI 업체 등이 사전에 선정되어야 한다. 현재 대부분의 대형 IT 프로젝트의 경우 제품 및 업체를 선정함에 있어서 내부적인 의사 결정 기준을 보유하고 있으나, 이를 외부에 공개하지 않음을 원칙으로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 한 은행이 직면한 제품 및 업체 선정 문제 사례에 대해 AHP기법을 적용하여 그 결과를 은행 내부 기준에 의한 의사 결정 결과와 비교해 보았으며, 절대적 측정 방법에 의한 Scoring System을 제시함으로써 향후 유사한 의사결정 문제에 있어서 보다 정확하고 신속한 의사 결정에 기여하고자 하였다.

  • 현재의 우리나라 전자관련 산업 분야 중 대기업과 협력관계에 있는 협력업체의 IT협업수준이 주로 생산현장과 관련있는 ERP나 GROUPWARE을 중심으로 초기단계의 적용 및 활용 수준에 머무르고 있을 뿐만 아니라 새로운 시스템도입 및 산업계의 변화를 적시에 반영시키지 못하는 단점이 있었다. 지속적인 전자 분야 산업 발전에 따라 보다 정확한 세부분야별 생산성 및 매출액 등의 데이터 활용이 필요할 뿐만 아니라 적극적인 GROBAL경쟁체제에서의 경쟁우위확보를 위하여 현행시스템의 고도화뿐만 아니라 생산, 재무데이타의 의미있는 연계를 통하여 EIS등의 솔루션을 집중도입하여, 경영의사결정을 효율적이고 신속하게 함으로서 국제적인 경쟁체계와도 시장 선도형 기업군을 가져야 할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 국내외 전자산업 대중소 협력업체간의 협업체계의 현행시스템을 ISP기법을 적용하여 장단점을 분석한 후 새로운 공통의 시스템구축을 위한 상생혁신프로그램도입을 제안한다.

  • Many organizations have been outsourcing not only simple tasks but Information Systems and business processes rapidly. IT outsourcing is considered as a critical strategy of businesses these days. Anyhow, many companies still have IT solution problems even though they have been outsourcing their IT department or functions. Moreover, many companies have difficulties when it comes to the selection a proper IT outsourcing service vendor. This study focused on evaluation methodology for small and medium sized organizational selection of IT outsourcing provider. This study's results is a presentation of an evaluation methodology using the AHP weighted value of the factors and the factors' variables. Small and medium sized organizational managers can refer to this study's result as an evaluation index and methodology at the beginning of their IT outsourcing project or for changing their vendors.

Studies on the Influence Factors of E-commerce Adoption: The Perspective of Suppliers' E-commerce (전자상거래 도입 영향요인들에 관한 통합적 연구: 공급업체 전자상거래를 중심으로)

  • This study empirically investigated inter-relationships among the influence factors on the adoption of e-commerce, which are classified as cause factor (i.e., perceived environmental uncertainty and competition), facilitators (i.e., perceived economic benefits, inter-organizational trust, suppliers' pressure and capability and asset specificity) and support factor (i.e., top management's support and organizational resource capability). The results of regression analyses showed that competition, inter-organizational trust, suppliers' pressure and capability, top management's support, and organizational resource capability have a positive impact on the adoption of e-commerce. In the analyses of inter-relationships among the influence factors, it was found that perceived environmental uncertainty positively influences suppliers' pressure and capability and perceived economic benefits, and competition has a positive impact on asset specificity. It was also observed that perceived economic benefits, inter-organizational trust and suppliers' pressure and capability positively affect top management's support, and inter-organizational trust and suppliers' pressure and capability have a positive impact on organizational resource capability. With mediating regression analyses, it was found that competition has an indirect impact on the adoption of e-commerce through the effect on perceived economic benefits, suppliers' pressure and capability, organizational resource capability and top management's support. The results of mediating regression analyses also showed that suppliers' pressure and capability and perceived economic benefits have indirect effects on the adoption of e-commerce through the effects on top management's support and organizational resource capability. From these results, it is concluded that intense competition causes the activation of facilitators, and the facilitators contribute to both the enhancement of top management support and the creation of organizational resource capability, which are directly linked to the adoption of e-commerce.

  • The damages from security accidents continue to increase as technology leaks from suppliers cause risks to the management of large companies, which are their customers, and their image and reliability to fall. However, the current industrial structure is practically impossible for large companies to form their own businesses and strategic alliances with business partners are essential, but it is changing into an industrial structure where the exchange of information is increased and the dependence of the information system is maximized, as well as legal demands and demands from stakeholders are increasing due to the complexity of the work process and the strengthening of security-related laws. The status of technology protection of small and medium-sized enterprises shows that they are not equipped with a security system due to relatively poor environment and financial difficulties compared to large enterprises, whereas the industrial structure between large and small business partners is indispensable for sharing the IT system, and the security system of large business, which is a customer company, should be improved by considering the fact that it is impossible to maintain security system between large businesses. Thus, the government intends to examine the system for shared growth of small businesses and the model for evaluating the capabilities of various agencies for information protection, and propose measures to introduce the certification system for small business partners.

A Political Proposal for the Private Brand Activation (유통업체 PB상품 활성화를 위한 정책연구)

  • The growth of market share of distributors' brands, also known as private brand, has accelerated in recent years. Sales volumes and market shares of private brands, as well as their appeal to consumers have steadily increased. Carrying private brands comes with numerous advantages, one of which is the relatively high gross margin, which can be 20 - 30% higher compared to manufacturer brands. Recently, many big discount stores are expanding private brand for higher sales volume. Thus, private brands play an important strategic role for retailers. The tendency of growing private brand will decrease sales revenue of both channel members, distributer and manufacturer. The disadvantage for manufacturer is obvious, especially for the manufactures who not only produce their own brands but also retailer brands competing against their own. There are also possible to weaken the brand awareness of manufacturer's brand. The purpose of this study is to explore the perception gap between retailers and manufacturers. we investigated to identify how consumers perceive private brand. In other to study the impact of private brands on distributors, we surveyed the actual condition of private brand and perception towards private brands among consumers, retailers and manufacturers. Based these analysis, we recommended proposal for private brand policies as follows: First, it need to correct imbalance between large retailer and manufacturer. second, we suggest "win-win growth policy", Third, by registering trademark right of national brand, manufacturers have a way of protecting their brands. Forth, manufacturers are encouraged to produce PNB(Private National Brand).

  • 최근 기업의 비즈니스 가치 증대를 위해 IT의 전략적 활용과 정보시스템과 비즈니스 프로세스간의 연계와 통합에 대해 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 이에 따라 다양한 IT 서비스와 자신들을 효과적으로 관리하기 위한 IT 거버넌스 개념 재정립의 필요한 시점이나, 학계와 산업계의 높은 관심에 비해 국내 기업의 실증적인 사례연구가 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 사례 연구를 통해 IT 거버넌스와 관련하여 현재 기업에서 수행 중인 의사결정 체계와 활동, 유형 및 결정 요인 등을 살펴봄으로써 IT 거버넌스 구축의 현주소 및 향후 활성화 요인을 제시하고자 한다. 비교 분석을 위해, 동일 산업군에서 매출액 규모가 유사하고 IT 투자율이 높은 국내 대기업 2개 업체를 선정하였으며, Structure, Process, Relational Mechanism 관점에서 관련업체의 IT 부서 주요 관계자들과의 인터뷰와 여러 내부 자료들을 활용하여 심층적인 사례 분석을 수행하였다. 'A'사와 'B'사의 IT 거버넌스 사례 분석을 통해 의사결정 메커니즘과 요인을 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 보편적인 적용이 가능한 의사결정 영역별 특성 및 구성요소를 구체적으로 제시함으로써, 향후 기업의 환경에 맞는 IT 거버넌스 체계 구축 및 Reference로서 활용을 기대한다.
