  • The animation is in a boom as the one of rising media content industry of 21st century. So it is very affective to education. For example, in primary or secondary schools, there are extra-animation class after school, and in universities, there are a lot of the department of animation nowadays. In every years, a number of high-educated professionals are coming to the manpower market. This was an affirmative phenomenon for many animation companies to upgrade from OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturing) system to very creative system. They might believed that young, well-educated animators have qualified skills, and creative mind. But, 10 years later, now, there is few professionals who was well-educated in system of Korean animation. Companies still can not hire enough animators. Even if they can find an high-educated person, this person do not have enough skills to do his or her works, so companies need to re-educate this animator for awhile. But, why is very hard to find a skillful new animator? From this question, we will talk about educational condition of animation departments, and condition of employment to markets. And then, we will find the causes of problems which give bad effect to lack of manpower. Finally, we will summarize about policies for supporting animation, so hope to contribute for making better atmosphere for creating animations.

  • The economy of the EU left behind the US economy in many aspects and the gap is widening. One major reason that promoted the EU's leading position, is the ability to continuously advancing industrial technology and it's high level of competitiveness. The role as a powerhouse of technological development is nurtured by a systematic attempt of the EU commission to stimulate international cooperation. Although the EU is focussing its efforts on international cooperation between EU-member states, nonmembers, namely Korea, can profit from this policy as well and generate win-win situations for both cooperating partners. Despite the enormous benefits for the Korean economy that would result from close ties with the EU in terms of technological cooperation, academic research in this area is very sparse. The main focus of the Korean academic community has been on the US and Japan so far; the cooperation between Korea and the EU was rather ignored. The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the potential of technological cooperation between Korea and the EU. After an introduction, chapter 2 explains the technology and innovation policy of the EU. Chapter 3 introduces the Framework Program for Research and Technological Development of the EU. Chapter 4 focuses on small and middle sized businesses and examines EUREKA, the EU’s effort to coordinate pan-european research cooperation.

  • Co-operative education and internships are generally treated as an alternative way to increase the employment rate by resolving the mismatch between college education and the industrial needs of the job specification. Based on a questionnaire survey on Korean universities, this study examined the current status of programs and the operating mechanism for co-operative education and internship to provide policy suggestions for promoting the depth and width of co-operative education in Korean universities. The results of the survey shows that the majority of students carry out internships on a short-term basis and the universities usually lack the capabilities for effectively running the programs of co-operative education and internships. In particular, as a part of the academic curriculum, co-operative education should be focused on the balance and effective linkage between the occupations given to students and the majors in university.

  • The purpose of this study is to make analyses on the importance and performance of the foodservice management, foodservice service, and the courses related to coffee in the colleges providing a coffee related curriculum, in order to determine which courses are required in the education programs for employees needed by the coffee restaurants as the employers' viewpoint. The analysis methods were frequency analysis, T-test and IPA analysis. The result are as followings. First, the performance was lower than the importance when it comes to importance and performance with the coffee related courses recognized by the staff in the coffee restaurants, particularly with a big gap in the theory of cost control and coffee theory. Second, in the IPA analysis of the importance and performance of the curriculum, quadrant - I as a weak item includes the cost control, foodservice marketing, and coffee theory courses. Quadrant - II includes the foodservice, coffee extraction practice, Espresso, Caffe Latte and Cappuccio, and Latte Art courses. Pertaining to the quadrant - III are those courses lack of the necessity, including the foodservice management, foodservice franchise, practical English in service, and coffee roasting. Quadrant - IV contains those course of less importance but of higher performance such as the practicum work experience. As part of limitations of study, specialties of staffs working for coffee franchise shops were not reflected due to lacking in pre-conducted studies and the samples couldn't be recognized to represent all coffee franchise shops since the sampling districts were restricted only to Seoul metropolitan area.

  • Anodic oxidation of aluminum has a sulfuric acid method and a oxalic acid method. Sulfuric acid concentration of the sulfuric acid method is 15~20 wt%. In the case of soft anodizing used in the $20{\sim}30^{\circ}C$ range, and voltage is the most used within a DC voltage 13~15V. In the case of hard anodizing used in the $0{\sim}-5^{\circ}C$ range. An aluminum oxide layer is made using sulfuric acid and oxalic acid. In this study, thermal fatigue of aluminum oxide layer which is made using sulfuric acid and oxalic acid is compared. Crack generating temperature of a sulfuric acid method and a oxalic acid method is $500^{\circ}C$ and $600^{\circ}C$. Thermal fatigue of aluminum oxide layer which is made using oxalic acid is better than thermal fatigue of aluminum oxide layer which is made using sulfuric acid. The characteristic of thermal fatigue can be explained by using thermal expansion coefficient of Al and Al2O3 and manufacturing temperature on Al anodizing. It was made possible through the convergent study to propose the manufacturing method of the anodic oxidation product used at a high temperature.

  • In modern society, private securities have developed their capabilities continuously. However, despite the fact that not only security industries have been considerably expanded in quantity, but also plenty of scholars published diverse papers relating to security problems, qualitative growths of private securities have not accomplished fully. Especially, securing the President would not be guaranteed only by PSS(Presidential Security Service). In order to secure the President successfully, it is necessary for all the social parts to strive to protect the President. In this respect, improving private securities, including academic fields, might be critical so as to succeed in securing the President. Without the supports from private securities, there might be lots of security problems in national context. Therefore, this study proposes several policy suggestions for the cooperation among PSS, private security industries and academic fields: (1) Providing a lot of practical knowledge from PSS to college students, (2) Personnel exchange between academic parts and PSS to promote the efficiency of securing the President, (3) Furnishing diverse information and knowledge about security to private securities, (4) Formulating security-searching standards, (5) Expanding educational institutions under PSS.

  • Beef consumption trends are changing according to consumer needs and preferences. This study was conducted to collect the fundamental information by investigating the consumer's preference and purchase propensity of beef(Hanwoo beef) for improvement of Korean beef grading system. Consumers were recruited from Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and 5 metropolitan cities, and surveyed from July 24 ~ August 14, 2017. The data obtained from 362 consumers were finally selected for the verification process. Results from the Hierarchical Regression Analysis reveal that the increased purchasing frequency is positively correlated with the following factors, in the consumer group showing preference in the Quality Grade (QG) of beef: marbling type 1QG, fat color 1+QG, and income, grade opinion, marbling contents and type 1++QG. Conversely, no factor affected the increased purchasing frequency in the consumer group having no preferred QG for beef (p>0.05). Our study determined significant differences in the factors affecting increased purchase frequency of beef among the different groups, classified depending on their preferred QG. The grading system is important since it directly correlates with profit for livestock farmers and the industry. We therefore propose that the grading criteria need to be revised reasonably but scientifically, considering various opinions of the producers and consumers.

  • Phthalate plasticizers are regulated by RoHS, REACH and CPSC as hazardous substances. Responding to these international environmental restrictions, we developed ABS certified reference material (CRM) for determination of phthalate plasticizers such as DMP, DEP, DBP, BBP, DEHP and DnOP. The candidate material has been made with ABS resin widely used in electric and electronic products and 6 kinds of phthalate plasticizers. The making of the material involved a series of processes like extruding, cooling, pelletizing, and drying using twin screw extruder. Then it has been certified according to ISO Guide 35. Using isotope dilution-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (ID-GC/MS), homogeneity, short-term stability, and long-term stability were evaluated. The certified values were determined by using primary reference material (PRM) of KRISS for traceability. From now on, we will provide ABS CRM to national and international companies and research institutes after certification as certified reference material and registering on COMAR (code of reference material).
