  • 최근 전 세계는 지구온난화와 기후변화로 상징되는 '환경'위기와 고유가로 대표되는 '자원'위기를 동시에 맞이하고 있다. 정보화의 가속으로 IT 기기의 증가 및 인터넷의 통신량 증가는 IDC 운영에도 많은 영향을 주고 있다. 그 중에서도 대부분의 운영비용이 막대한 전력 소모로 인해 발생하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 IDC 사업자들은 운영 경비의 비용을 줄이기 위해 IDC의 불필요한 인적, 물적 자원의 소모를 줄이며, 고성능 저비용, 저전력 장비 확보에 많은 관심을 기울이고 있다. 제안 시스템에서는 IDC의 서버와 스토리지 등의 IT 장비와 공조시스템과 전력공급시스템 등의 Non-IT 장비의 자동화 통합 관리를 통하여 인적, 물적 자원을 체계적으로 관리하여 이들의 활용성을 높이고, 나아가 IDC의 운영비용 및 효율을 고도화할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 국내에 ERP패키지 시스템이 도입된지도 10여년이 지나 현재 많은 기업이 ERP를 구축 운영중이며 향후에도 많은 기업이 ERP를 구축할 것으로 예상된다. 해외에서 개발된 패키지를 국내에 도입하다 보니 국내 실정에 맞지 않는 많은 부분이 커스터마이징되고 있다. 이러한 커스터마이징은 ERP 개발 기간을 길게 하고 많은 비용을 초래하며 또한 실제 운영 시에도 과다한 유지 보수 비용을 발생시키는 등 적지 않은 부담을 안겨 주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 커스터마이징과 ERP구축의 성과 지표 즉 개발기간 및 구축비용 등에 대한 상관 관계를 실 구축 사례를 통해 조사/확인하고 LG CNS의 ERP 구축 및 운영 경험을 토대로 커스터마이징을 줄일 수 있는 방안에 대한 아이디어를 제시하고자 한다.

Study on validating proper System Requirements by using Cost Estimations Methodology (비용추정방법을 활용한 시스템요구사항 적정성 확인방안 연구)

  • It is very important the government project should be supported by enough budget for proceeding. The insufficient budget by poor budget estimating uesd to bring about discontinuing for the project. This is originally caused by inaccuracy for cost estimating about system and evaluating for system requirements on the projet initial phase. The system requirements is technical requirements that converted the user needs and is needs for communicating between stakeholder and developer and manufacturer. Also the system requirements is the primary factor to make the project cost. The cost estimating is not easy due to complication of cost factors and an aberration between cost estimating and actual cost. Specially, on the project initial phase, shortage of detail information for project make more difficult to do cost estimating. This study proposes the architecture for validating proper system requirements by using cost estimations methodology on the project initial phase and shows the computer tool for simulating the proposed architecture.

  • In construction project planning and control, a cost model performs a critical role such as cost determination on a contract stage and cost tracing. The model can maximize owner's profit and value within the project budget and optimize cost management works on overall construction implementation stages. A BoQ(Bill of Quantities) generally adopted in a unit price contract has been applied as an important tool for cost control and forecast. However a previous cost model based on the BoQ has shown limitations in that it requires too detailed information and heavy manpower on cost management and difficulty in keeping relationship with construction planning, scheduling and progress management. The each cost items and unit prices which constitute of construction works are individually very important management factors but the relative weight for each items and prices have a difference on the contents and conditions of each conditions of each construction works. In consideration of this structural mechanism of cost determination, this research is aimed at examining the critical factors affecting the construction cost determination and propose and verify a new cost forecasting model which is more simple and efficient and also keeps the accuracy of cost management.

An Iterative Approach to the Estimation of CO2 Abatement Costs (방향성 벡터 일반화를 통한 이산화탄소의 한계저감비용 연구)

  • This study proposes an iterative approach to the estimation of the marginal abatement costs of undesirable outputs by computing the slope of the efficient production possibilities frontier on the basis of the efficient projection points generated by the directional output distance function approach due to Fare et al. (2005) based on duality theory. In case of the latter methodology, the estimated marginal abatement costs differ significantly depending on the choice of the directional output vector. In addition, depending on the curvature of the underlying PPF the efficient projection points may be located at a significant distance away from their actually observed counterparts. While it would be more logical to estimate marginal abatement costs as a PPF slope at a point corresponding to the actually observed emissions level, the methodology based on duality theory is likely to produce unstable results due to the problems associated with applying the theorem of implicit function differentiation. Since our methodology is not based on duality theory, our results are immune to both of these problems. We apply our methodology to a sample of Western European countries for the period of 1995-2011 to illustrate our approach.

Estimating Maintenance Cost of RAPCON at Air Force Base (비행기지 RAPCON 유지보수비용 추정)

  • RAPCON non only controls landing/take-off procedures but also approaching air traffics within 60-70 NM range of air force base. This paper, first of all, tries to research the failure rate per operation hours, mean time between failure (MTBF) of RAPCON according to six blocks such as interrogator, receiver, power unit, display unit, data process unit and antenna. In addition, this paper estimates the maintenance cost over next 10 months based on 50 monthly maintenance cost data. Considering the maintenance cost data from RAPCON which has been used over designed service life span, it is no doubt the forecasted data proved the monthly cost would go up incrementally during the rest of economic life of the facility. Such research result is also proven to be the same with the result of bathtub curve data during operating life.

Optimal Life-Cycle Cost Design of Steel Box Girders (강박스 거더의 생애주기비용 최적설계)

  • This paper presents a design method to minimize Life Cycle Cost (LCC) of steel box girders. The LCC considered in this paper includes initial cost, expected life-cycle maintenance cost and repair cost. A load carrying capacity curve is derived from a condition grade curve of steel girders and load tarrying capacity that is measured in safety diagnostic test. And then, optimal design of steel box girders is performed on the basis of load carrying capacity curve. In this paper time and number of times for repair of steel girders are determined based on the calculated load carrying capacity curve. Also, annual costs considering real discount rate are compared and analyzed in various cases. It is concluded that the optimal design of steel box gilders considering LCC by the presented method will lead to more economical and safer girders than conventional design.

A Cost-Based Buffer Replacement Algorithm in Object-Oriented Database Systems (객체지향 데이타베이스에서의 비용기반 버퍼 교체 알고리즘)

  • Many object oriented database systems manage object buffers to provide fast access to objects. Traditional buffer replacement algorithms based on fixed length pages simply assume that the cost incurred by operating a buffer is propertional to the number of buffer faults. However, this assumption no longer holds in an objects buffer where objects are of variable length and the cost of replacing an object varies for each object. In this paper, we propose a cost based replacement algorithm for object buffers. The proposed algorithm replaces the have minimum costs per unit time and unit space. The cost model extends the previous page based one to include the replacement costs and the sizes of objects. The performance tests show that proposed algorithm is almost always superior to the LRU-2 algorithm and in some cases is more than twice as fast. The idea of cost based replacement can be applied to any buffer management architectures that adopt earlier algorithms. It is especially useful in object oriented database systems where there is significant variation in replacement costs.

  • As increasing the feasibility of the eVTOL UAM(electric vertical take-off and landing urban air mobility), numerous corporations and laboratories are conducting researches. In the aircraft development process, estimating the cost of the aircraft is essential part in terms of budgeting and commercial viability analysis. However, it is difficult to predict the cost of an eVTOL UAM owing to various configurations and little open cost information. This paper presents a novel method to predict the vehicle cost of various eVTOL configurations by modifying previous studies of the aircraft cost estimation. A vehicle cost of Wisk Cora is calculated by the presented method as an example to illuminate the method. The method is indirectly validated by comparing the vehicle costs of six representative eVTOL aircraft with those from the UAM study reports.
