An Exploration of IT Convergence Methods for School Forests Education (초, 중등 학교 숲 활용 교육을 위한 IT 융합 방안 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore educational methods for elementary, middle and high schools using school forests via IT convergence. To this aim, we reviewed the previous literature on education using school forests to identify the problems with the existing education using school forests, and conducted interviews with experts to analyze the demands. we proposed an educational method that can utilize the school forests via IT convergence, and explored its validity through content reviews conducted by experts. The findings of this study are as follows. First, we proposed the IT convergence instruction focused on hands-on activities on top of the existing educational contents. Second, we proposed IT convergence instruction that incorporates diverse materials, physical computing tools, and programming tools. Third, we presented methods for utilizing such IT convergence instruction in connection with various elements of the 2015 Revised Curriculum as well as with various other activities such as middle school free semester activities and after-school activities. The school forest is a crucial learning space for the areas related to agriculture and biotechnology. Thus, we anticipate that the IT convergence instruction proposed in this study will lead to the re-discovery and re-evaluation of a value of school forests as an educational space that contributes to fulfilling the objective of the 2015 Revised Curriculum to nurture creative convergent talent.

  • This paper has checked the position and roles of IT(Information Technology) for future society greeting the open campus in 21 century. The idea was focused 'how to construct IT manpower growing system for electronics related departments that are expected to lead the whole industries in 30 years. The problem how to grow competitive manpower and to receive the necessity of industries flexibly is hot issue for the various education system and it should be linked to career education. Also it is very important element how to realize practically open campus education in the lifelong vocational society. This theme has described the organization between IT related department and school for the functional realization of the center (laboratory) based module type muti semester education system, and has proposed an unique direction of the education development that is shown the relationship between virtual education and open education system suitable for new era. Especially it has depicted the idea how to cooperate with virtual education and lifelong education system through 'CIMTL(Center for Information Media Technology Learning)'.

  • The 7th curricula of computer education as a general subject for secondary schools in Korea has relatively stressed on the application softwares as a learning tools. Such approach might be very successful in terms of ICT literacy education, but it is not enough to teach fundamental concepts and principles of information technologies and computer science and it has also limitation to apply such knowledge to expand students' intellectual capabilities. Therefore, in this paper we first investigates the reason of introducing computer science principle education according to IT fluency and show appropriate direction of computer education curricula for secondary schools.

Revitalization Plan for IT Education according to Analysis of Demand by Students and Parents (학생 및 학부모 수요 분석에 따른 정보교육 활성화 방안)

  • In this paper, a revitalization plan for IT education was studied. Currently, IT industry is the most important field of the export industry in korea. But IT education in korea has been neglected. To grasp the demand of students and parents for IT education, a survey was conducted. A majority of students and parents agree with opinion that should be strengthened IT education at school. Also, a majority of students and parents agree with a plan to set up special purpose high school for IT education. In this paper, a revitalization plan for IT education is proposed according to result of survey. It is expected to help the breeding gifted young man for IT.

  • IT 장비 및 기기의 확산과 전력 소비의 증가로 인한 환경문제가 점차 심각한 국제문제로 대두되기 시작하면서, IT 부문의 $CO_2$ 배출과 에너지 절감을 위해 그린 IT의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 그린 IT는 교육기관에서도 에너지 효율화 및 사교육비 절감 등의 효과를 발휘하기 위해 저탄소 녹색성장을 견인하는 녹색정보화 방향으로 추진되어야 할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 교육기관에서의 녹색정보화를 위해, 학교 구성원들인 교사 학생들이 지켜야 할 그린 IT 사용 지침 및 이를 지속적으로 실천할 수 있는 교육활동을 제안하였다.

  • This study was intended to analyze the present condition and problems of education by examining the curriculum of departments relating to IT design in community colleges in the environment of IT that more rapidly grew than any other sector due to the development of information and communication and smart device, focusing on the actual condition. And it was intended to present a scheme for the improvement of IT design curriculum in community colleges in preparation for the surveyed industry demand in IT sector. First of all, this study attempted to check how IT designers' work changed according to the change of technology in industrial scene through a survey of job in IT industry and an analysis of IT industry trends. As a result, it was shown that the work of IT designers who had carried out web design work extended to mobile design, and school education also required mobile education according to the change of the times. Here, through task analysis, it was possible to find that web design and mobile design was not fundamentally entirely different, but was within the range where it was perfectly possible to carry out mobile design work if mobile environment and condition was understood and an education was given together with the existing curriculum.

A Design and Demonstration of Future Technology IT Humanities Convergence Education Model (미래기술 IT인문학 융복합 교육모델 설계 및 실증)

  • Humanities are as crucial as the technology itself in the intelligent information society. Human-centered convergence information technology (IT), which reflects emotional and human nature, can be considered a unique technology with an optimistic outlook in the unpredictable future. Based on this research background, this paper proposed an education model that can improve the IT humanities capabilities of various learners, including elementary and secondary students, prospective teachers, incumbent teachers, school managers, and the general public, through analysis of previous studies on convergence education models. Furthermore, the practical aspects of the proposed model were closely examined so that the proposed education model could be stably incorporated and utilized in the educational field. There are seven strategies for implementing the education model proposed in this paper, including research on textbooks, teaching and learning materials, activation of research results, maker space creation, global joint research, online education operation, developing living lab governance, and diversification of self-sustaining platforms for sustainable and practical education. In the future, validity verification through expert Delphi is required as a follow-up study.

  • Digital technologies have largely changed our way of life in a time-space traditional paradigm. Information Technology(IT) has become the most primary measurement in evaluation of social value. So the efficient education for IT has a big responsibility for the better living conditions. The importance of IT education continue to grow more and more. The intent of this work is to enforce the competitive power of IT education under open-education and to develop the special model of the practical IT curriculum for industry. The proposed curriculum is consisted of various modules which can be easily adapted to real world. So someone who finished IT curriculum can be re-educated the only necessary module with this developed model.

  • Breaking down the boundaries between recent study has emerged as a key issue of convergence education to create new knowledge. The core of IT Convergence Education is being made through educational SW, SW purpose of education has been focused on improving the CT(: Computational Thinking). The purpose of this paper is to design a CT teaching model for activating IT Convergence Education. In this study, we designed a CT Curriculum focusing on algorithm and program for the purpose of enhancing non-majors learner's CT ability and software adaptability and being utilized in the majors. It is expected to be utilized to design a CT teaching methods and curriculum in University.
