  • The dynamic simulation of machine tools and motion control systems has been widely used for optimization, design verification, control design, etc. There are three main streams in dynamic simulation: structural dynamic analysis based onthe finite element method, dynamic motion analysis based on equations of motion, and control system analysis based on transfer functions. Generally, one of these dynamic simulation methods is chosen and employed for specific purposes. In this study, an integrated dynamic simulation is introduced, in which the structure, motion, and control dynamics are combined together. Commercially well-known software is used in the integrated dynamic simulation: ANSYS, ADAMS, and Matlab/Simulink. Using the integrated dynamic simulation, the dynamics of a magnetic bearing stage is analyzed and the causes of oscillation and noise are identified. A controller design for suppressing a flexible dynamic mode is carried out and verified through the integrated dynamic simulation.

  • An integrated Robot control system for SCARA robot is developed. The system consists of an off-line programming(OLP), software and a robot controller using four digital signal processor(TMS32OC50). The OLP has functions of teaching task, dynamic simulator, three dimensional animation, and trajectory planning. To develop robust dynamic control algorithm, a new sliding mode control algorithm for the robot is proposed. The trajectory tracking performance of these algorithm is evaluated by implementing to SCARA robot(SM5 type) using DSP controller which has conventional PI-FF control algorithm. To make SCARA robot operate according to off-line teaching, an interface between OLP and robot controller in the integrated system is designed. To demonstrate performance of the integrated system, the proposed control algorithm is applied to the system.

  • This paper presents design and performance evaluation of magnetorheological(MR) damper for integrated isolation mount. The MR damper needs two functions for the integrated isolation mount. The one is vibration absorption and the other is isolation of vibration transmission. For vibration absorption, the MR damper requires wide damping force range. And for isolation of vibration transmission, the friction of MR damper needs to be eliminated. In order to achieve this goal, a novel type of MR damper is originally designed in this work. Subsequently, the MR damper is mathematically modeled and its damping force characteristics are evaluated. In addition, the vibration control performance of the MR damper associated with the stage mass is evaluated. From the result, this paper evaluates the performance of MR damper for integrated isolation mount.

  • The purpose of this study is identify the status of the ward of public hospital for integrated nursing care service. Integrated nursing care service has been expanding on a national scale from 2016 but most of public hospitals are currently unable to operate due to nursing shortage. In this study 8 wards of public hospital have been chosen and analyzed. The measure of space program and area distribution(patient area percentage, staff area percentage, circulation area percentage), nurses's walking distance(distance from ns to patient room, distance from ns to core) were calculated by depthmapX and autocad programs. The result of this study is as follows. Nurse's walking distance is more than 24m so the efficiency of nurse's patient care is reduced. The percentage of patient area in double-corridor is higher and the patient feels more comfortable but the Nurse's walking distance is longer and the accessibility is lowered. NS should be located in the center of the ward and close to the core but some wards are not composed of proper space-separation and flow of human trrafic is overlapped. This study may serve as basic research for the architectural plan for future integrated nursing care ward.

  • Generally, A motor integrated spindle is selected to perform the high speed machining, to improve the machining flexibility, and to simplify the structure of machine tools. The thermal deformation caused by heat generation of the integrated motor is, however, serious problem in motor integrated spindle system. In this study, cooling characteristics for the several kinds of cooling systems(such as, oil-jacket cooling, air cooling) are investigated and more efficient cooling method is presented. The results show that the shaft cooling by the air cooling system is effective to improve the thermal characteristic of motor integrated spindle.

  • In this paper, integrated missile guidance and control systems using time-delay control (TDC) are developed. The next generation missile requires that an interceptor hits the target, maneuvering with small miss-distances, and has lower weight to reduce costs. This is possible if the synergism existing between the guidance and control subsystems is exploited by the integrated controller. The TDC law is a robust control technique for nonlinear systems, and it has a very simple structure. The feature of TDC is to directly estimate the unknown dynamics and the unexpected disturbance using one-step time-delay. To investigate the performance of the integrated controller, numerical simulations are performed as the maneuver of the target. The results show that the integrated guidance and control system has a good performance.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to find the phase-in of BIM adoption by focusing on the level of integration. BlM should be aimed at integration and collaboration of all parties furnishing design and construction services to increase the productivity. Therefore, the degree and depth of integration for project collaboration is very important to BlM design process. One of the key advantages of full integration is that is to facilitates the development of detailed information much earlier in the entire design process to improve collaboration among stakeholders. Such integrated use is the ultimate method, but even so, it's not the precondition of BlM. One of the key advantages of relatively low integration as a transition phase is to adopt the BlM earlier than full integration. Such transitional and non-integrated BIM can also reduce the possibility of trial and error in BlM adoption. Therefore, this paper focused on non-integrated use of BlM as a substitute of full IPD by analyzing obstacles in BIM adoption.

  • Currently composite manufacturing process, such as linear friction welding plus NC machining, is the main method for the manufacturing and repairing of complex parts with integrated structure. Due to different datum position and inevitable distortion from different processes, it is important to ensure sufficient machining allowance for complex parts during the NC machining process. In this paper, a workpiece localization approach for machining allowance optimization of complex parts based on CMM inspection is developed. This technique concerns an alignment process to ensure sufficient stock allowance for the single parts as well as the whole integrated parts. The mathematical model of the constrained alignment is firstly established, and then the symmetric block solution strategy is proposed to solve the optimization model. Experiment result shows that the approach is appropriate and feasible to distribute the machining allowance for the single and whole parts for adaptive machining of complex parts.

  • As AEC(architecture, engineering and construction) industry becomes larger and more complex, much information is going into each part and phase. Therefore, the existing building design process has to change and collaboration is emphasized among participants in various fields. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze existing building design process and integrated building design process based on BIM using a IDEF0 methodology. And then, it establishes a desirable domestic integrated building design process application plan focusing on the design phase of domestic cases. As a result of analysis, flowing conclusions are included ; Firstly, problems occur on the existing building design process that are accomplished with focusing on the outcome. It makes much errors because of 2D-based information. Another problems is that collaboration doesn't go on smoothly. But, integrated building design process is accomplished with the collaboration and the coordination which pursues change and perfects cooperation. Secondly, BIM is a process of effecting optimum integrating, re-using information, and expense reduction throughout the life-cycle of a building. Moreover, it establishes a basis for the integrated building design process to build a collaboration system.
