Exploration of Support Plans for 2015 Integrated Science Curriculum through the Performance Evaluation of Implemented Teacher Training Programs (교사연수 성과평가를 통한 2015 통합과학 교육과정 현장 정착 방안 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive ways to support Integrated Science curriculum implementation by evaluating the results of Integrated Science teacher training programs conducted by the Ministry of Education to support the settlement of 2015 revised Integrated Science curriculum. Teachers' output from the teacher training programs and interviews with training instructors in the 2017 Integrated Science Leading Teacher Training program were analyzed to derive the features of the Integrated Science curriculum and support plans for the implementation of Integrated Science in schools. Teachers who participated in the 2017 Integrated Science Leading Teacher Training program developed teaching, & learning and evaluation plans through participatory training sessions, where the achievement standards most selected by teachers were [10IS08-03] and [10IS09-04]. Through the text mining analysis of these achievement standards, we explored the implementation realities such as reconstruction of achievement standards, teaching and learning methods, learning materials, evaluation methods, and subject competencies. In addition, we analyzed exemplary reconstruction models of achievement standards in light of best integrated instruction, student-participatory instruction, and developing science competencies. Based on the results, we propose teacher training support plans and further studies for the implementation and settlement of the Integrated Science curriculum.

A Study on the Construction of Integrated GIS in Local Government (지방자치단체의 통합형 GIS 구축에 관한 연구 - 일본의 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the components to be considered when we construct the integrated GIS. Capability has always to be related to application. In this perspective, the range of integrated GIS's capabilities is more extensive than this existing GIS. Using in the case of Japan's local government, when we want to build the integrated GIS, it is necessary to consider the following things. First, the overall manuals are required. Second, the common spatial database should be build to satisfy outsider user as well as inner user. And last, the chief of local government should gain the sympathy of the member of community.

A Methodology of Architectural Integrated Design Education based on 'Material Organization' (현대건축의 '물질조직화' 개념을 활용한 통합설계교육방법론 연구)

  • This study examined a methodology of architectural integrated design education from the design methodology of architects in 1990s, particularly FOA, who thought of architecture as a material organization. Their design method starts from a prototype, which is a technical and material mediator, and processes a number of materials as specific information into an architectural organization. This method is used in the architectural design studio so that the students can integrate the knowledge leant from other classes into architectural proposals. Three case studies show they can successfully organize their proposals with structural and functional materials, which suggests that the FOA's design methodology is a potential solution for architectural integrated design education.

  • Inclusion of hearing impaired students in general schools is the current tendency in deaf education today. The goal of inclusion is to promote the academic and social inclusion of hearing impaired students, where academic inclusion focuses on higher academic achievement and class participation level. However, some studies have shown that hearing impaired students attending general schools mostly experience feelings of isolation, rejection and loneliness, and encounter identity development problems. This study reviews the research on the inclusion of hearing impaired students in general schools, as well as the perceptions of their parents, teachers on their academic and social inclusion. A further aim of this study is to explore the supporting services, teachers's attitude, career guidance service and effective collaborative partnership among teachers for hearing impaired students. This study concludes with suggesting the community of knowledge as integrative supporting strategy for inclusion.

A Study on Integrated Fire Protection System for high-rise Building (초고층빌딩 통합 화재방재시스템 설계 및 구현에 관한 연구)

  • The fire protection system for high-rise buildings is currently confined to the preparation of sprinklers, emergency stairs, and exit and monitoring systems. On the other hand, an integrated system, including the model with scenario-based actions, is required for effective fire protection. An integrated fire protection system is needed to operate and manage the total cycle of the fire protection. In this study, an integrated fire protection system, which included sensing and consequent processes related to fire emergencies, was designed and implemented. The designed scheme can gather and analyze the data of the production, operation, and consumption patterns as it integrates fire protection systems for fire fighters and evacuating people. The integrated fire protection technology and system, which has target performance with satisfied 1/2 sec transaction response time and 1.2 transactions per second, is expected to contribute to market creation in converged technology-based fire protection fields.

  • The integrated data is an essential in the analysis for the balanced development of the local governments, but economic, social and cultural data in local governments is not being made with integrated management. A variety of information is being published according to the Government 3.0 era, but the researchers has great difficulty in integrating the analysis for one topic because related information is scattered in various sites. This paper proposes an integrated database(DB) of local governments to support the research activities. It has to contains total information of economic, social and cultural activities of local governments, and accommodate the distributed and heterogeneous data. It has the schema designed to integrate the entire data for considering the differences between local governments or data components. We should focus to build a framework for the multifaceted research to enable the cross analysis over common elements.

  • Today, our country is experiencing serious graying without parallel. The government is executing various services and welfare policies to solve this problem using ubiquitous technology. But the old and disabled people are not good for using the u-service and system, because it is made for ordinary people. The purpose of this study is to solve the graying society-problem and improve the eldery as well as disabled's quality of life by integrating each information centers based on ESB(Enterprise Service Bus). The results of this study can be divided by system architecture and communication system for the eldery and disabled. The research development results of this study can be used to build the integrated information center for u-service of the old people and disabled. It will contribute to realizing the Ubiquitous-society by promotion of young people's quality of life as well as the eldery and disabled.

  • It needs an Integration Management Center in u-City to mange all events for an efficiency of city function, to enhance an installed infrastructure of information, and to provide u-Service like residence, administration, and culture in real time. Integration Management Center is a place to provide a city information from gathering data of communication network, traffic network, and facilities. The u-Services in Integration Management Center need an Integrated Platform to integrate verticality and horizontality between service layer. This paper study an infrastructure of Integration Operation Center and Integrated Platform. Lastly the topics are suggested how to make it a success in u-City.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore organizational integration of library and computing center in university. In order to analyze the organizational integration and separation, the study employed case method. In this research I concentrated on three areas: the goal and background of organizational integration, the leadership of CIO and the conflict in resources and cultural differences between the library and the computing staff.

The Effects of Sensory Integrative Therapy on Vestibulo-Proprioceptive Sensory Processing of Children With Asperger Syndrome (감각통합치료가 아스퍼거 아동의 전정.고유감각 처리능력에 미치는 효과)

  • Objective : This study verifies the effects of sensory integrative (SI) therapy on vestibular- and proprioceptive sensory (BPS) processing ability of a child with Asperger Syndrome (AS). Method : A boy who is 11 years and 2 months old took the Functional Independence Measure for Children (Wee-FIM), Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM), Short Sensory Profile, Bruininks-Oserestky Test of Motor Proficiency-2 (BOT-2), and Test of Playfulness (ToP) for the baseline. The child participated in 3 evaluation sessions and 8 therapy sessions based on the AB research design. Duration of each session is 50 min and the therapy session is divided into 40 minutes for treatment and 10 minutes for evaluation. Since the vestibular sense and proprioception build up one's ability of postural control, several tests were employed to evaluate the child' postural control as outcome measure; distance from front leg of chair to heel of the child with sitting (C-H distance), angle between trunk and thigh (hip joint angle) with sitting, and the 'prone-extension posture' which is a subtest of Clinical Observation of Motor and Postural Skill (COMPS) to examine postural control embodied with integration of reflex and BPS processing. Result : During the therapy, average data of the C-H distance is decreased from 27.33cm to 11.69cm, average data of the hip joint angle is also decreased from $43.3^{\circ}$ to $20^{\circ}$, and average time for the prone-extension posture is increased from 13.15seconds to 24.84seconds. Conclusion : This result indicates that the ability to postural control in sitting and to maintain the prone-extension posture can be improved by sensory integrative therapy, with enhanced BPS processing.
