  • Transparent LED display is providing city residents with different attractions via information services and landscape and increasing demand is detected in various areas. It is true that majority of the current demand in transparent electrode material was found and used in ITO but limitations in capacity and economic efficiency led to the need for continuous research and technology development via new materials. As a new material, metal mesh has 85% of the materials to substitute ITO and is widely used due to low-cost and high-conductive rate. Maintenance of transparent LED display utilizing metal mesh compared to existing ITO transparent display is much easier as it not only saves resources but is also economical. Thus the objective of this paper lies in proposing the utilization of metal mesh in transparent LED display prototype to enable economical use of transparent LED display technology and to expand the market and to also propose transparent LED display development method via metal mesh and manufacture a prototype based on the method. And a characteristic comparison test between ITO and metal mesh provides the possibility of using metal mesh as a transparent electrode material in transparent LED display development.

  • This study focuses on evaluating and comparing residents' acceptance of unutilized heat such as hydrothermal energy and waste heat from waste incineration and data centers in the case that they are used as district heat sources. This is because securing residents' acceptance is significantly important in order for unutilized heat to be considered as a heat source of district heating and cooling to achieve neutrality in the heating and cooling sector. A survey of heating consumers' perception on unutilized heat energy is conducted and a conjoint model is used to analyze the willingness to pay of heating consumers on incineration heat, water heat, and data center waste heat and to compare them with existing gas heat sources. As a result of the analysis, it is confirmed that district heating using hydrothermal energy and data center waste heat is preferred to district heating from heat from a natural gas plant or waste incineration.

  • The purpose this study is to analyze how human resources in culture and arts education use the contents of Arts Academy training program in the field, and to suggest implications and improvements of the training for strengthening the competence of professional manpower. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted for the participants of the Arte Academy training program to investigate the actual application rate. As a result of the analysis, overall application of the training was high. However, the work-site application was divided into indirect and direct applications. Indirect application showed higher results than direct application. This shows that the training is effective in terms of strengthening the participants' personal competence, but they are somewhat lacking in applying the contents learned in the training directly in the field. Indirect application is a result of training and is a necessary part of strengthening competence. However, considering that culture and arts education is a consumer-oriented policy that enjoys culture and art, it needs to be strengthened more directly in the field, and the competence of the applicant should be applied to the field more smoothly. The Korea Arts & Culture Education Service needs to review and implement such a training that has a higher direct application than indirect application.

  • Drought is caused by a combination of various hydrological or meteorological factor, so it is difficult to accurately assess drought event, but various drought indices have been developed to interpret them quantitatively. However, the drought indexes currently being used are calculated from the lack of a single variable, which is a problem that does not accurately determine the drought event caused by complex causes. Shortage of a single variable may not be a drought, but it is judged to be a drought. On the other hand, research on developing indices using unstructured data, which is widely used in big data analysis, is being carried out in other fields and proven to be superior. Therefore, in this study, we intend to calculate the drought index by combining unstructured data (news data) with weather and hydrologic information (rainfall and dam inflow) that are being used for the existing drought index, and to evaluate the utilization of drought interpretation through verification of the calculated drought index. The Clayton Copula function was used to calculate the joint drought index, and the parameter estimation was used by the calibration method. The analysis showed that the drought index, which combines unstructured data, properly expresses the drought period compared to the existing drought index (SPI, SDI). In addition, ROC scores were calculated higher than existing drought indices, making them more useful in drought interpretation. The joint drought index calculated in this study is considered highly useful in that it complements the analytical limits of the existing single variable drought index and provides excellent utilization of the drought index using unstructured data.
