  • The flow label field in IPv6 has been proposed to provide the QoS. Since the existing flow label specification scheme like random-number format utilizes the label only as the identifier of flow, it is not appropriate for providing differentiated services according to the characteristics of various types of real-time traffic. This paper proposes a hybrid scheme that makes use of the flow label fields as components of flow and QoS parameters as well. To be specific, this paper investigates a scheme that both guarantees the end-to-end service quality and utilizes efficiently backbone resources by allowing users to specify QoS parameters using flow labels. Assuming an MLPS-TE network as the backbone, we compare the performance of our proposed scheme with that of random-number scheme through simulation. The simulation result shows that our scheme is more efficient than the existing one in terms of the transmission rate as well as the resource utilization of the backbone.

  • For recent years, the environment of use on internet has been changed from the wired internet access to the wireless internet access increasingly, and the use of real time application data has been increased. Therefore the research and evolution of wireless network for providing of user's mobility and QoS at the same time must be essential. IETF already proposed Mobile IPv6 for providing mobility and RSVP for QoS through resource reservation. These future are expected to be used not only wired network but also wireless network. But there are not yet proposed the integration and efficient interworking of two mechanism. For the solution of problem on efficient interworking issue, for instance signaling overhead and reservation delay increasing due to often handoff, this paper first proposed to use of IETF Cellular IP based on Mobile IPv6 for wireless network model with fast mobility and a improved RSVP mechanism using the flow label field in IPv6 header.

  • Recently, Many People have studied in Mobile Ipv6 to provide seamless service. FMIPv6 is designed to reduce the procedure of handover and will be used SIP, VoIP and Mobile Internet moving picture service. But, If mobile node moves fast, it will happen to packet loss and interruption problem in handover procedure. So, In this paper, designed and evaluated traffic control mechanism using WFQ scheduling to reduce the packet loss that occurred to handover procedure.

  • Mobility and quality of service (QoS) are becoming the more important issues in wireless communications. The traditional Internet service is expanding into new access media and applications. Since wireless communication services are accompanied by frequent handovers at remote sites, scalable and fast handover has become a prerequisite for ubiquitous communication. In this paper, the differentiated service (Diffserv) model is deployed in heterogeneous proxy mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) networks to satisfy the QoS guaranteed service and fast handover requirements. The operational procedures for QoS guaranteed global roaming are presented. In addition, QoS management and handover cost evaluation schemes based on a mobile host's movement scope are proposed. This paper analyzes the reduction in handover delay in a network-based localized mobility management framework. We propose and analyze a PMIPv6 optimized with a global mobile access gateway (G-MAG), which is a network-based entity, to further improve the handover performance in terms of handover delay while maintaining minimal signaling overhead in the air interface among converged heterogeneous wireless networks. The handover signaling procedures with host-based MIPv6 are compared with network-based proxy MIPv6 (PMIPv6) and fast PMIPv6 assisted by G-MAG to show how much handover delay reduction can be achieved. Analytical results show that the handover delay is significantly reduced.

  • Having age of ubiquitous ahead, existing IPv4's address space insufficiency phenomenon appears because of increasing network usage as well as multimedia data transmission becomes much, necessity of new IP address system that guarantee QoS are needed. IPv6 was made to solve these problem. IPv6 solves address space insufficiency phenomenon offering by 128bit address space, and also offers hierarchical address layer that support improved QoS. IPv6 defines relation between surrounding node using Neighbor Discovery protocol. Used Neighbor Discovery messages, grasp surrounding node, include important informations about network. These network information outcrops can give rise in network attack and also service that use network will paralysis. Various kinds of security limitation was found in Present Neighbor Discovery protocol therefore security function to supplement tris problem was required. In this thesis, Secure Neighbor Discovery protocol that add with security function was design and embody by CGA module and SEND module.

  • Recently, the Internet-based communication method has been adopted as an open networking solution in the field of remote control and data acquisition. In the current Internet, most networking applications are developed according to the client-server approach. In this paper, we propose an innovative Device Configuration Protocol (DCP) that exchanges the traditional role between client and server to provide a uniform device interface over the Internet for various field devices. The proposed protocol is implemented as an application-level protocol running on top of the standard TCP/IP protocols. Also, the DCP protocol is extended with real-time processing to work with the FlowLabel of IPv6 for QoS (Quality of Service) support. The simulation results show that the real-time packets can be processed prior to the given deadline regardless of throughput, as compared to the normal packets.

  • Recently there are increasing needs for Internet and various kinds of contents. These traffics for various contents need more amount of data to provide high-quality information and require various QoS depending on the characteristics of contents. However, current Internet service supports BE (Best Effort) service only, therefore IntServ (Integrated Service) scheme and DiffServ (Differentiated Service) scheme are represented to support QoS in IP layer. Moreover, while wireless Internet is getting popular, MAC(Medium Access Control) is also becoming important. This is due to the fact that wireless access, resource allocation and packet scheduling, which are done in another layers before, are performed in MAC layer in many new wireless systems. This paper describes new scheme that provides QoS taking into account the traffic characteristics over Mobile IPv6 network based on IEEE 802.11e EDCF and evaluates the performance through computer simulation.

  • This paper divides domains into the intra, inter domain according to the mobile node's movement and .proposes the Fast RSVP algorithm on the HMIPv6. It is done to advance reservation using L2 beacon signal when MN is located to overlapped cell area. In case of intra-region handoff, the advance reservation is reserved at the nearest common router and In case of inter-region handoff, it is done to advance reservation through the other site MAP's QA(QoS Agent) to the AR and optimize CN's path. Because of using the bandwidth efficiently and switching the data path quickly, the proposal algorithm minimizes the service disruption by data routing.
