The fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Medicine) are changing rapidly. Recently, with the remarkable development of Internet and Web technologies, an environment that can be accessed worldwide has been created, thereby lowering the barriers to share STEM knowledge and information. The purpose of this study is to derive improvements by evaluating users' satisfaction with the information system developed by applying the open access model in the STEM field. Through an online survey using a structured questionnaire, a total of 204 users participated from January to February. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative statistical techniques. IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) technique was used. By identifying the importance and satisfaction (performance) between variables, areas with relatively low satisfaction compared to importance were derived. Users' overall satisfaction with the open access information system was 81.2 points and social reliability was 85.9 points, which were relatively high, respectively. What should be paid attention to in this study is the satisfaction with the system use environment, which is the most vulnerable area.

The quality of service on urban roadways have been evaluated mainly based on such quantitative measures as travel speed and delay. However, in addition to the quantitative aspects, drivers traveling on urban roadways are subject to be influenced by qualitative measures such as aesthetic aspects of the roadway and other drivers' violation of traffic laws. Based on this notion, this study attempts to identify roadway service quality indices, considering both qualitative and quantitative aspects and evaluate the quality of service using the modified Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), a technique often applied in the field of marketing. The modified IPA is proposed in this study as a way to evaluate the service quality, reflecting the relative performance between study areas and performance indices. A case study is implemented over the Gangnam and Gangbuk areas in Seoul, resulting in identifying the items needed to be improved for each study area.

When a human being grew older, followed by visually and perceptually impaired, and dementia, it jeopardizes safety and life unless supportive design is secured for a living environment. This supportive space is based on universal design concept which offers safe-oriented, and simple use by incorporating gender and physical/mental limitation. The study of purppose was to examine the appropriateness of barrier-free standard for seniors' living in apartment through IPA. Chi-square analysis found that satisfaction with BF space is lowered as aging is continued and for female group. Regression analysis indicated that sink was the prime predictor in satisfaction, and stair/elevator was the most important variable. IPA concluded that sink, bath, shower/locker and alert/egress were prime BF indexes to be improved among 14 elements, implying careful design in sanitation area for seniors.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the user's evaluation of the street environment for the Urban Regeneration New Deal project, which maintains its original urban context and improves the urban environment, as opposed to the full-demolition projects such as urban redevelopment or reconstruction. A questionary survey was conducted on residents for the general neighborhood type of Urban Regeneration New Deal projects in Daegu. An IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) was conducted to compare the user's satisfaction with the street environments. The main results are as follows. First, the importance and satisfaction of street environments were different for each project. Second, the cleanliness of sidewalks showed high importance and satisfaction at all projects. Third, residents' satisfaction with signs and buildings was high, but their importance was low. Last, residents' satisfaction with parking and the segregation of pedestrian and vehicle was low, but their importance was high. It is necessary to build differentiated plans and programs to meet the needs of residents in the Urban Regeneration New Deal projects.

With diffusion of various mobile devices, mobile learning has been one of the dominant learning styles in education fields. The purpose of this research is to examine the difference between students' perceived importance-performance of mobile learning satisfaction. The researchers reviewed the literature looking for variables which affect influential factors of students' mobile learning satisfaction such as system, contents, service, use, and outcome. As a result of t-test, the performance is lower than the importance of all the influential factors. Also, according to the result of Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) matrix, it was noted that system factor is the most crucial factor in improving mobile learners' satisfaction. This result implies that offering technical support and simplifying the navigation design for mobile learning are urgently required.

This study reviewed the current status of low-experienced teacher librarians with less than 5 years and attempted to identify their educational needs through IPA analysis, Borich Priority Formula, and The Locus for Focus Model. A survey was conducted on low-experienced teacher librarians with less than 5 years of experience to analyze their process in the pre-service teacher training and experiences before an appointment and to identify teacher librarians instructional expertise. The results of the analysis of the study are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant difference between the importance and performance in all areas of instructional expertise of low-experienced teacher librarians. Second, 'reading education-practice progress' was recognized as a 'Keep up good work' with high importance and satisfaction, and 'library-based instruction planning, progress evaluation', 'information literacy-curriculum design', and 'digital and media literacy education-progress and evaluation' were recognized as areas of 'Concentrate here' through IPA analysis. Third, In the Borich Priority Formula, 'teaching-learning evaluation', 'teaching-learning progress', and 'teaching-learning plan' in the Library based instruction area showed the highest educational needs. Fourth, the library-based instruction was shown to the high discrepancy/high importancy area as same as the Borich Proity Formula. The results of this study can provide implications for improving the instructional expertise of teacher librarians.

Purpose: This study investigated the importance and performance of food/nutrition labeling. The aim was to determine how important students consider food nutritional labeling, utilization of nutrition labels in daily life, and consumer satisfaction of current nutritional labeling. Methods: This study was conducted using a primary survey of students at one high school in Seoul. A total of 300 of 382 questionnaires were analyzed. Results: Regarding difference analysis of the importance-performance of food/nutrition labeling, importance showed higher scores than performance in all 10 attributes. According to the results of Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA), 'health, weight control and maintenance, proper dietary habits, and personal satisfaction' displayed both high importance and performance in the first quadrant. Importance of two factors (health and nutritional factor and effects of media and education) of the 10 attributes positively influenced overall satisfaction in the multiple regression analysis. Conclusion: To develop healthier food choices, it is necessary to educate adolescents about food/nutrition labeling and improve the food/nutrition labeling system.

This study aims to generate baseline data for vitalizing the sales of functional cosmetics through an Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) of the selection attributes of functional cosmetics. From the analysis of consumers' selection criteria, the study will assist functional cosmetics companies in reflecting consumer demands and therefore securing competitiveness. For this, general consumers aged over 20 years were surveyed for 5 weeks from Feb 23 through Mar 30, 2015, and 447 empirical data (response rate 88.9%) were processed through SPSS WIN 21.0 program for analysis. To conduct gender difference analysis on the IPA of the selection attributes of functional cosmetics, 17 selection attributes were categorized into 4 factors: functionality, labeling, popularity, and product. Cronbach's alpha for all factors was 0.5, proving the internal consistency and reliability of the survey. The survey results showed that while the entire average came out significantly higher for females (5.89/7points) than for males (5.66/7points) (p<0.001), the selection attributes 'anti-wrinkling', 'whitening function', 'functionality', 'expiration date', 'full ingredient labeling system' and 'various promotional events' showed significant gender differences. IPA results pertaining to gender showed 'price', 'functionality', 'spreadability' and 'full ingredient labeling system' as 2nd quadrant attributes, whereas female consumers selected 'price', 'whitening function', 'anti-wrinkling', 'functionality' and 'full ingredient labeling system' as attributes. Results show that businesses in the field of cosmetics and related areas need to prioritize improving the following factors that received low satisfaction from all consumers: 'price', 'functionality', and 'total labeling.' In particular, the 'price' aspects are considered to require reasonable and affordable pricing.

The purpose of this study was to suggest rating factors of the importance and the satisfaction for selecting physical education institutes for preschoolers and to provide an implication of vitalizing physical education class for preschooler with comparative analysis between importance and satisfaction using IPA analysis. 253 directors of educational institutes for preschooler have chosen through a convenience sampling method, and 430 was used for analysis. The results were as follows. First, the instructor qualification items and the program items ranked highly positions in physical education institute for preschooler. Second, the instructor qualification items, the program items, tuition items of discount benefit and institution image items of reputation had the significant difference between importance and satisfaction. Lastly, The quadrant I is "the keep up the good work" part and includes 8 items such as the expertise of the physical education teacher for preschooler. The quadrant II is "the concentrate here" part and includes 2 items such as teaching ability of the physical education teacher for preschooler. The quadrant III is "the low priority" part and includes 6 items such as reasonable prices of tuitions.

Daycare center is an important space for children's mental, physical and social development. Each space of daycare center should be designed and constructed considering interests of end-users such as children and teachers. However, insufficient related guidelines and standardized design and construction of daycare center to moderate potential risks of each space. This arises from the difference in perception of each space between end-users (head and sub teachers) and construction experts (designers and contractors). Therefore, research framework was developed for analyzing the factors of perception differences of each space in daycare center between these groups applied traditional and modified Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). By comparing risk perception between end-users and experts in two methods, it can be support as construction guide for daycare center in the future and will help minimize conflicts in construction among stakeholders. Moreover, it was found that traditional IPA is comfortable to catch prior project perception of participants, and revised IPA is considered to judge outputs by identifying participant's importance based on the satisfaction of the project performance. Therefore, if IPAs are applied according to the characteristics of the circumstances, it is possible to analyze the perception difference between end-users and construction experts based on the context before and after the construction of the daycare center.
