Mobile IP has been designed only to maintain communication as they move form place to place, so it doesn't guarantee Quality of Service(QoS). QoS in mobile IP is important to provide multimedia and real-time applications services in mobile, and it is closely related to handoff delay. Therefore, handoff delay problem is actively studied to guarantee QoS as a main issue in mobile IP research area Next generation Mobile IPv6 resolve this problem somewhat, triangle problem for first packet and handoff delay still remain. In this paper, we suggest SNMP Information-based routing that adds keyword management method to Information-based routing in active network in order to resolve such a problem, and then suggest QoS controlled handoff based on SNMP Information-Based routing. After modeling of suggested method and existing handoff method simulations we carried out with NS-2 for performance evaluation. The results of simulations show the some improvement on handoff delay, and therefore on QoS improvement.

A successful deployment of multimedia applications over wireless environments entails improving the quality of service (QoS), not only from a technical point of view, but also considering the quality of experience (QoE) from the final user's perception. Although objective QoE measure models avoid the difficulties of subjective surveys, subjective QoE assessments are essential to understand the way users evaluate the QoS. In this work, we study the effect of a wide range of parameters on the QoE of VVoIP applications in a real wireless scenario. Through a complete statistical analysis of users' ratings, we identify the following facts. Although the use of VVoIP in wireless networks does not yet represent an advantage for users, there are great expectations for all applications under study, and with greater popularity comes higher expectations. It is easier for respondents to identify good behavior than poor behavior. Whereas the respondents' frequency of Internet use does not impact on the scores, respondents' gender does. Finally, the most determining parameters of quality from a user's perspective were instability, video quality, voice distortion, usefulness, and graphical interface.

본 논문에서는 VoIP 서비스를 사용하는데 있어서 IP 망에서 음성품질을 저해시키는 요소들을 Emulator를 통해 실험함으로써 음성품질에 영향을 미치는 요소에 대해 분석하였다. 그리고 QoS 분석에서는 실제 망 환경에서 겪을 수 있는 영향요소들에 대한 실측치를 반영하여 망 품질에 대한 망상태의 변화를 분석하였다. 망 품질의 가장 큰 영향을 주는 Delay, Jitter, 패킷손실에 대해 실측한 데이터는 IP망에서의 고품질의 VoIP 서비스를 제공하는 기반이 될 것으로 기대한다.

유비쿼터스 환경의 등장으로 스마트폰이 보급되고 다양한 콘텐츠에 대한 수요가 급증하게 되었다. 따라서 한정된 자원을 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 방안 중 하나로 차세대 무선통신 기술인 인지무선 기술이 그 대안으로 여겨지고 있다. 스펙트럼 감지나 접근 기술뿐만 아니라 한정된 스펙트럼 자원에서 VoIP 트래픽 서비스를 부사용자들에게 만족스럽게 제공하는 것도 매우 중요한 이슈이다. 본 논문에서는 인지무선 네트워크에서 VoIP QoS 보장을 위한 자원 할당 및 제어 시스템을 제안하였다. 먼저 네트워크 구조를 고려한 시간 구조를 시스템 모델로 제안하였고, 그 구조에 따라 대역 브로커를 결정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한, 대역 브로커가 추정한 가용 대역폭 정보를 바탕으로 대역 브로커가 부사용자들의 연결 요청을 수락 제어하는 방법을 제안하였다. 실험 결과, PU 채널 이용률과 PU 채널의 개수, 그리고 타임슬롯의 길이가 VoIP QoS 보장에 지대한 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

VoIP 서비스는 아날로그인 음성 신호를 디지털 신호로 변환한 후 패킷으로 구성하여 사용자에게 음성정보를 전달해주는 서비스로 기존의 음성전화 서비스에 비해 요금이 저렴하고 확장성이 뛰어난 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 VoIP 서비스는 기존의 음성전화 서비스(PSTN)에 비해서 열악한 통화품질과 보안측면의 취약성을 포함한 시스템 구조를 갖는다. 이와 같은 문제점을 보완하기 위해 TLS 서비스를 도입함으로서 보안성을 높였지만, 실제적인 시스템에서는 QoS 문제점이 발생하므로 보안적인 측면과 QoS를 동시에 만족시킬 수 있는 VoIP 보안 시스템 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존 VoIP 세션 설정단계에 AA 서버를 추가하여 사용자의 접근에 따른 차등 서비스를 제공함으로서 보안과 사용자에 따른 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 사용자 권한 인증 VoIP 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 TLS 기술을 추가한 시스템보다 빠른 QoS를 제공하면서 비슷한 보안성을 제공한다는 이점을 가지고 있다. 또한 사용자별 다양한 부가서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

최근에 인터넷은 시간이 가면 갈수록 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스를 망을 통해서 제공받기 원하고 있다. 이러한 실시간 서비스를 IPOA 환경에서 지원하기 위해 ATM 망에서 RSVP를 이용하고 IP계층에서는 이를 멀티캐스트 서비스로 제공하기 위해 기존의 MARS가 지원 예약 메시지를 처리하도록 그 기능을 확장하도록 함으로써 이질적인 수신자의 QoS를 보장하는 방식을 제안하였다. 또한 이를 직접 구현한, 간단한 시뮬레이션을 통해 확장된 MARS 서버의 성능을 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 이질적인 수신자들에게 IP 멀티캐스트 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 RSVP를 적용할 때에는 수신자의 규모와 QoS 변경 요청의 발생 빈도 등을 예측하였다. 이를 통해 망 자원의 불필요한 낭비와 서버의 처리 지연을 줄임으로써 서버의 효율적인 관리 및 이질적인 수산자들의 서비스 품질을 보장할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

인터넷이 급속도로 발전해 감에 따라 그 활용 분야가 확장되고 보편화되어 가고 있다. 그 중 최근 대두되고 있는 분야가 바로 통신 서비스 분야이다. 이를 위해 등장한 것이 VoIP인데 IP 위로 음성 데이터를 전송하는 것을 목적으로 한다. VoIP를 지원하기 위한 프로토콜로는 크게 ITU-T에서 제안한 H.323과 IETF에서 제안한 SIP를 들 수 있다. 인터넷을 이용한 통신 서비스를 위해서는 음성 데이터를 패킷 망에서 전송하는 기능 외에 터미널의 이동성을 지원하고, QoS를 보장할 수 있어야 한다. 이러한 측면에서 볼 때, 상기한 두 프로토콜은 음성 데이터를 패킷 망에서 전송하기 위한 다양한 기능과 서비스를 제공하고 있는 반면 호스트의 이동성 및 QoS 보장을 위한 방안에 있어서는 미비한 것이 현재 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점의 해결을 위해, Mobile IP 위에서 동작하도록 확장된 자원 예약 프로토콜을 기반으로 하여 VoIP를 구현함으로써 호스트의 이동성과 QoS를 보장하도록 하는 방안에 대해 제안하고자 한다.

As mobile IP has been suggested only to support mobility of mobile station(MS) by which it dose nothing but guarantee MS's new connection to the network, it is for nothing in Quality of Service(QoS) after handoff of MS. QoS is very important factor in mobile IP network to provide multimedia applications and real-time services in mobile environment, and it is closely related to handoff delay Therefore as a main issue in mobile IP research area, handoff delay problem is actively studied to guarantee and promote QoS. In this paper, in order to resolve such a problem, we suggest Simple Network Management Network(SNMP) information-based routing that adds keyword management method to information-based routing in active network, and then propose QoS controlled handoff by SNMP information-based routing. After setting up routing convergence time, modeling of suggested method and existing handoff method is followed in order to evaluate the simulations that are carried out with NS-2. The result of simulation show the improvement of handoff delay, and consequently it turns off the QoS has been improved considerably.

최근 인터넷에서는 인터넷 방송, 영상회의, VoIP 등 QoS 보장을 요구하는 새로운 응용 서비스들의 출현으로 서비스 품질 제공은 차세대 인터넷에서 가장 주요한 과제의 하나다. 하지만 현재의 인터넷은 모든 패킷을 동일하게 전달하는 BE(Best Effort) 서비스만을 제공하고 있기 때문에 서비스에 따른 패킷의 손실 또는 지연 등의 QoS에 대한 요구 사항을 보장해 주지 못하고 있다. 따라서 인터넷에서 서비스의 QoS를 보장해 주기 위해서는 현재의 모텔과는 다른 새로운 서비스 모델을 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서는 IP QoS와 관련하여 네트워크에서 QoS 지원을 위한 고려사항 등을 살펴보고, DiffServ 모델에서 QoS를 지원할 수 있는 동적노드 설정방법을 제시하고 이의 성능을 분석한다.

Wireless LAN Voice over IP(VoIP) equipment needs Quality-of-Service(QoS) with priority for processing real-time traffic. This paper shows transmit function implementation of wireless LAN(WLANs) media access control(MAC) support VoIP, and it has an advantage of guarantee of QoS and is adaptable to VoIP or mobile wireless equipment. The IEEE 802.11e standard in progress has four queues according to four access categories(AC) for transmit and the MAC transmits the data based on EDCA. The value of AC is from AC0 to AC3 and AC3 has the highest priority. The transmit method implemented at this paper ensure QoS using one transmit FIFO in hardware since real-time traffic data and non real-time traffic data has the different priority. The device driver classifies real-time data and non real-time data and transmit data to hardware with information about data type. The hardware conducts shorter backoff and selects faster AIFS slot for real-time data than it for non real-time data. Therefor It make give the real-time traffic data faster channel access chance than non real-time data and enhances QoS.
