  • iATA(Internet Advanced Technology Attachment)는 TCP/IP 네트워크를 통해 원격의 대용량의 가상 저장 공간을 자신의 로컬 디스크 처럼 활용이 가능하게 하는 기술로 이는 모바일 기기(PDA, 휴대폰 등)와 같은 저장 공간의 부족문제를 가지고 있는 장치에 적용하여 저장 공간의 부족 문제를 근본적으로 해결할 수 있는 솔루션이라 할 수 있다. iATA는 SCSI 하드디스크가 장착된 시스템에서만 서버를 구축해야만 하는 iSCSI와는 달리 일반 가정이나 사무실에서 주로 사용하는 ATA 하드 디스크에도 서버 구축이 가능한 확장성을 가지고 있으며 이는 iATA의 최대 장점 중 하나라 할 수 있다. 또한, Web 사이트를 통해 많은 사람들이 iATA 서비스를 이용하여 자신의 모바일 기기에서의 저장공간 문제를 극복할 수 있으며, 최근 사회 문제로 크게 대두되고 있는 개인 정보 유출의 폐해를 막기 위해 개인 인증시 OpenSSL과 MD5를 이용한 보안/암호화 기법을 사용하여 개인 정보 유출에 의한 불이익 및 개인 정보 악용으로 인한 범죄를 막을 수 있다. 하지만, 기존의 iATA상에서는 디스크 관리가 서버에서만 가능하다는 문제점이 있다. 즉, 사용자만의 개인공간을 가질 수가 없다. 이처럼 개인 사진이나, 다이어리같은 정보들을 관리 할 수 없는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 클라이언트에서 자신만의 디스크 공간을 가질 수 있게 파티션을 할당해주고, 그 공간을 클라이언트만의 공간으로 만들어 주는 기술을 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다.

  • Digital Broadcast Service is being very popular and the delivery mechanism for digital broadcast content through IP network has progressed constantly, due to the advance of video and audio compression and network technologies. From these trends, in Korea, the commercial IPTV service starts in this year after the law related to IPTV is enacted last year. Since IPTV service, which integrates broadcast and communication services, can give an infrastructure for fusion of communication and interactive multimedia data service, IPTV service is attractive. Recently, by the advent of various wireless connection technologies and the mobile devices of high capability, Mobile IPTV, which has an advantage of not only IPTV but also mobile TV, has gained much interest. In this paper, we review a necessary ingredient for Mobile IPTV in the next generation wired/wireless convergence network environment which consists of heterogeneous wireless access networks. In addition, we propose the scheme for user mobility and service session mobility management using RTSP protocol and introduce the service gateway concept to guarantee the extension of IPTV service platform.

  • Recently the use router is to allow multiple computers by one IP can be connect to the Internet. Also, the PC or server in order to use a Web server or a print server, Web Hard, P2P should be settings. In this paper, we are building a multi-functional Web server that using a router supported OpenWRT based on network settings and firewall settings and a variety of services. A web server can be provided the Internet phone and secure multimedia service Web server router based OpenWRT may be provided through a mobile app and the PC application service.

  • 3G LTE 이동통신 시스템은 패킷 데이터 전송에 기반을 둔 다양한 서비스 지원을 목표로 하는 기술로서 최대 20MHz 대역폭 기준 하향링크 최대 전송속도 100Mbps, 상향 링크 50Mbps의 전송속도를 지원한다. 그리고 데이터 전송 효율 향상, 효율적인 주파수 자원 이용, 이동성, 낮은 latency, 패킷 데이터 전송에 최적화된 기술과 서비스 품질보장 등을 제공한다. 3G LTE 시스템은 기존 시스템에 비해 주파수 및 고속의 멀티미디어 서비스를 효율적으로 사용하는 IP 네트워크로 진화되는 이동통신 시스템이다. 3G LTE 이동통신 단말은 대역폭 20MHz 기준으로 이동속도 120km/h에서 하향링크 30 Mbps, 상향링크 15Mbps의 데이터 전송속도를 지원한다. 또한, 고품질 및 고속의 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하는 단말로서 3.5세대인 HSDPA에 반해 모바일 영상 서비스가 본격적으로 제공되는 3G LTE 이동통신 시스템의 단말이다. 본 고에서는 3G LTE 이동통신 시스템 단말 플랫폼 기술 동향과 전망에 대하여 논의한다. II장에서는 3G LTE 표준 규격을 기반으로 구현하는 3G LTE 이동통신 시스템 및 단말 플랫폼을 서술하며, III장에서는 국ㆍ내외 단말 플랫폼 기술 동향에 관한 내용을 기술한다. IV장에서는 향후 발전 전망에 대해 살펴보고, 마지막으로 결론을 맺고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we implement the fast handovers for mobile IPv6 (FMIPv6) on Linux system. Due to its dependency on operations in layer-2 (L2), we have added some functions into the network driver to generate triggers as the mobile node moves. We design and implement the FMIPv6 functions divided into two parts as an access router and a mobile node. We compare the packet loss and delay of the FMIPv6 implementation during the handover period with those of the MIPv6 and investigate the performance improvement.

  • The growing need for the mobility supportable networks induces the IP-based mobility management protocols. Though HMIPv6 which manages the micro-mobility of mobile nodes using MAPs suggests an effective method for mobility-support for mobile nodes within the domain that is managed by MAP. There is a problem that traffic may be concentrated on MAPs. In this paper, therefore, we proposed a method that can effectively distribute the traffic which is concentrated on a MAP under phased Mobile IPv6. In our proposed method, two or more MAPs are required and classified as an 'Active MAP' or a 'Passive MAP'. In addition, we defined the state of transition events between Active MAP and Passive MAP and the operations among MAPs for load distribution when an overload condition is occurred at some MAPs by traffic congestion. We compared the performance of our proposed method with its phased Mobile IPv6 to prove the propriety of our proposed method. As a result, we showed that our proposed method can provide an enhanced performance by about 12 percentages in view of packet throughput at the node.

  • Routers currently used in homes and institutions have a function of multiple computers to connect to the Internet with a single IP address. It is possible only through setting or establishing a separate operation in a used PC or server to function as a web/printer server, web hard, and P2P. In this paper, by utilizing the OpenWRT Linux-based through the construction of the Web server through a router OpenWRT of (Open Wireless Router) base, to build a server simple compact, low power consumption, low cost, to operate by reliability to provide Internet telephony and multimedia services high securely over the server security, which is based on the setting of policy and various firewall at the same time the configuration of the network utilizing OpenWRT router that can be enhanced, to construct a Web server through a router multi functional can receive the provision of services using the program PC and mobile APP.

  • IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) is one of the typical businesses which are the convergence of Broadcast and Communication. It provides broadcasting service using IP networks. Recently, IPTV service is developed to Mobile IPTV or Open IPTV. Especially, Open IPTV uses open platform so not only service providers but also general users can provide contents to other users. Open IPTV system has many content providers, so existing security solution of IPTV cannot be adopted. In this paper, we suggest user authentication and key distribution mechanism on Open IPTV. Our proposed mechanism is based on Kerberos, so it can support distribution environment such as Open IPTV. We demonstrate that proposed mechanism can guarantee secure transmission of contents and reduce the delay of user authentication on Open IPTV system compared to other authentication mechanisms. We also compare our proposal and other mechanisms in various aspects, and analyze efficiency and safety of proposed mechanism. As a result, we insist that this mechanism satisfies the security requirements for IPTV.

  • Recently the wireless LAN system is substituting wired LAN system notably as the number of mobile users increases greatly along the advancement of technology. But the wireless LAN has a critical weakness in the security such as data leakage. Thus a safe security system is imperative to avoid threatening from hackers with offering the best convenience to inner users. In this research, we have developed a RADIUS wireless LAN security system for industrial applications, which performs the EAP authentication with the compatibility for any maker of wireless LAN. The system has interfaces based on WEB, providing DB access function for user management so that users can perform authentication of 802.1x in their computers.

A Carrier Preference-based Routing Scheme(CPR) for Multi-Layered Maritime Data Communications Networks (다층 해상데이터통신망을 위한 캐리어선호도기반 경로배정방식)

  • Data communications networks at sea can be modelled by multi-layered networks with traditional carriers (RF, satellites), and BWA (wireless LAN, WiBro, LTE), which partially makes it possible the high speed communication services (WWW, VoIP) at sea. In this paper, a novel routing scheme (CPR) is proposed which selects an optimal carrier for each hop in routes based on carrier preferences (CP). The carrier preferences are measured proactively depending on the feasibility of transmission characteristics (transmission rate, cost, and latency time) of the carriers for each application. Performance was compared with that of the OMH-MW (Optimal Medium per Hop based on Max-Win) routing scheme.
