핸드오프는 이동국이 통화 중에 이동하더라도 새로운 통화 채널을 확보하여 진행중인 호를 새로운 채널로 전환하는 과정이다. 본 논문은 IMT-2000 망에서 MSC 간 핸드오프 과정의 설계를 목적으로 한다. 이와 관련하여 IMT-2000 망 구조를 기술하고, IMT-2000 MSC 간 핸드오프 처리 방안으로 B-ISUP 메시지를 이용한 방안과 IS-41의 MAP을 이용한 방안을 비교 분석하였다. 또한, IS-41 MAP 기반의 MSC 간 핸드오프 호 처리 절차에 대해 기술하고, 핸드오프 기반의 IMT-2000 교환기 소프트웨어 블록 구조 및 기능을 설계하였다. 그리고, IMT-2000MSC간의 핸드오프 경로 구성 방안을 제시하고, IS-634와 IS-41 MAP규정을 만족하는 IMT-2000망에서의 MSC간 핸드오프를 위한 교환기 내부 소프트웨어 블록간의 호 흐름을 설계하였다.

In this paper, we examined receiving parameters of IMT-2000 receiving system and also analyzed them through simulation based on the minimum specification of DCS and PCS mobile station. As a result of simulation, noise figure which is the parameter of specification of the receiving sensitivity is 7.21dB, 6.03dB, and 7.89dB in case of DCS, PCS and IMT-2000 respectively. Therefore we found the receiving sensitivity of IMT-2000 mobile station lower than that of DCS and PCS.

제 3 세대 이동 통신인 IMT-2000 서비스의 목적은 언제 어디서나 어떠한 환경 하에서도 고품질의 영상과 신뢰성 있는 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공한다는 점이다. 기존의 2 세대 이동통신에서의 엔터테인먼트 서비스가 텍스트 기반의 온라인 게임이나 단순한 이미지 및 그래픽 파일 그리고 저 해상도의 영상만이 제공되었다면 IMT-2000 상에서의 엔터테인먼트 서비스는 개인화가 부각된, 눈으로 보고 느낄 수 있는 고 부가가치의 영상서비스를 제공 할 것이다. 사용자는 정지 또는 이동 중에도 IMT 단말기로 3 차원 게임을 즐기고 실시간 또는 주문형 영상 및 음악을 시청하며 여행정보를 수집하는 등의 더욱 더 효과적인 무선 오락을 즐길 수 있도록 기존의 시간 때우기 식의 개념에서 벗어나 자신만의 가상 세계를 체험할 수 있는 사이버 월드의 킬러 서비스로서 기반을 다져가야 할 것이다. 본 고에서는 IMT-2000 엔터테인먼트 서비스와 이에 관련되는 소요기술 등을 기술 하고자 한다.

1980년대 이후 이동통신은 급격한 발전을 거듭하여 왔다. 이제 음성과 문자 서비스뿐만 아니라 영상 서비스까지도 가능한 IMT-2000 시대를 맞이할 것으로 전망된다. IMT-2000은 기존의 모든 통신서비스를 수용하면서 멀티미디어 서비스로 영역이 점점 더 확장되어 가는 제 3 세대 종합이동통신 시스템을 의미한다. IMT-2000은 기존의 이동통신에서 제공할 수 없었던 서비스가 추가되어가는 단계적인 서비스의 고도화가 예상된다. 이와 같이 IMT-2000 서비스의 요구사항이 단계적으로 발전되어감에 따라 사용자 관점에서 고품질의 서비스를 제공하고 나아가 세계시장에서의 경쟁우위를 달성할 수 있는 고객만족을 전략적으로 추구해야 할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이를 위해서 서비스의 단계적인 고도화에 따라 각 서비스의 고객만족 평가체계를 구축하고 전체적으로는 우수한 고객가치를 전달 할 수 있는 지속적인 평가와 개선이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 IMT-2000 서비스의 고객만족 평가속성 체계를 1차적으로 정리하였다. IMT-2000 서비스 시장이 앞으로 어떻게 전개될 지 모르는 불확실한 상황이지만 기존의 고객만족 패러다임과 실무 및 학계에서의 이동통신 관련 고객만족 문헌, IMT-2000 서비스관련 문헌 등을 토대로 고객만족 평가속성들을 체계적으로 도출하고자 하였다. 이후 이론적 타당성과 실증분석을 통해 더욱 체계적인 고객만족속성체계를 제안하고자 한다

Lately the National Technology Standard of IMT-2000 service in Korea was decided for both technology standards (cdma-2000, W-CDMA), and consequently the comprehensive countermeasures against the Technology Standards are all the more emphasized. Especially to private enterprises which were selected as service carriers for IMT-2000 service in Korea, making corresponding strategies in relation to both technology standards must be settled without delay. The Government also should serve the development of the I&T Industry through the various processes of adopting the policies and working out strategies In relation to Technology Standards of IMT-2000. Therefore in this paper, 1 would like to survey the features of both Technology Standards(cdma-2000, W-CDMA) and to propose the hereafter corresponding strategies in relation to IMT-2000 services.

향후 통신시장의 핵으로 등장하게 될 IMT-2000 서비스는 막대한 초기 투자비의 발생과 투자의 집괴성으로 인하여 개별 기업적 차원뿐만 아니라 국가 경쟁력 제고 차원은 물론 이용자 편익 증진을 고려한 적절한 추진방향과 사업전략을 설정할 필요성이 절실하다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 최근 중복투자의 방지는 물론 경쟁활성화를 위한 하나의 바람직한 대안으로 부각되고 있는 IMT-2000의 공동망 사용에 대한 타당성을 검토함에 있어 공동망 활용시 발생 가능한 산업구조적 측면에서의 이슈 및 이에 대한 해결방안을 고찰함으로써 IMT-2000 서비스 공동망 사용의 당위성을 제시하고자 하였다. IMT-2000 시장의 경우 주파수 자원의 한정성으로 인하여 닫힌 복과점적 시장형태를 취하게 될 것으로 예상된다. 이에 따라 망 투자유인 결여 및 사회후생의 감소와 같은 공동망 활용에 따라 발생 가능한 산업구조적 측면에서의 문제점을 극복하고, 망 운영사업자의 영속적이며 안정적인 사업운영이 가능하다면, IMT-2000 산업에서의 공동망 활용은 초기 투자비용의 절감 및 중복투자의 방지에 기여함은 물론 개별 사업자들의 투자비용 부담이 줄어들게 되어 결국 주파수 자원의 한정성을 극복하고 경쟁활성화에 기여하게 될 것으로 판단된다.

IMT-2000은 제 3세대 이동통신 시스템으로서 육상, 해상, 위성을 포함한 모든 이동통신을 포괄하는 통신서비스를 제공하게 된다. 또한, 기존의 음성 서비스뿐만 아니라 문자, 이미지, 멀티미디어 정보까지 전송할 수 있으며 국제적인 로밍을 통해 전세계 어느 곳에서도 통신할 수 있는 미래의 이동통신 시스템이다. 본 논문의 목적은 IMT-2000 교환기에서 지능 망 서비스를 수행하는데 필요한 기본 모델 구조인 기본 호 상태 모델을 적용하는 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 그 내용으로 IMT-2000 교환기를 위한 발신 및 착신 기본 호 상태 모델과 교환기 소프트웨어 블록을 소개한다. 또한, 이를 바탕으로 기본 호 상태 모델을 적용한 한 예로서 IMT-2000 교환기 내부 블록간의 자국 호 처리 절차를 설계하고 기본 호 상태 모델이 적용될 수 있는 사용자 호 제어부 블록의 유니트 및 파일 구조를 설계한다. 그리고 IMT-2000 교환기에서 기본 호 상태 모델을 적용한 발신 및 착신 사용자 제어부의 SDL 다이어그램과 이에 대한 CHILL을 이용한 구현 예를 제시한다.

IMT-2000 system is the third generation mobile communication system which aims at mobile multimedia services with global roaming. Like 2nd generation system, the IMT-2000 system is also under strong influence of interferences among active subscribers in the multiple access environment. That is, in multiple access environment, signals from one subscriber could interfere with others in the same cell or in the neighboring cells. The interference control in the IMT-2000 systems is much more difficult then the interference control in the 2ndgeneration CDMA cellular systems, since the transmitted power of a subcriber might be different that of others in the IMT-2000 system. In this paper, a parallel interference cancellation with traffic discrimination is proposed which can effectively cancel interferences by grouping the subscribers into several equi-power classes. As a conclusion, simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional partial PIC scheme in several aspects.

AIN CS-3를 기반으로 하는 IMT-2000 망은 지능망의 구성요소들과 통합 및 연동을 통하여 기존에 개발되었거나 앞으로 개발될 유선 지능망의 서비스들을 쉽게 수용할 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 IMT-2000 및 IMT-2000과 연동되는 타 네트워크의 상이한 플랫폼 환경의 개발환경 및 향후 유지보수과정에서 발생할 것으로 예측되는 TMN 시스템 내 에이전트의 Q3 인터페이스 구현상의 표준을 이를 수 없다는 층의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 I-Farmer 모델을 제안하였다.

In this paper, we develop a framework for identifying the quality of service(QoS) and network performance (NP) in the IMT-2000 services, and analyze the QoS/NP system in the 3GPP IMT-2000 services. Based on the ITU-T E.800, the QoS is classified into customer, technical, contents, telecommunications quality, and internet communication quality, and the NP consists of the service access/transmission, reliability/operating & maintenance, charging performance, and mobility management performance. Under the basic framework, the major parameters in the IMT-2000 services are identified for each QoS/NP criterion. The QoS framework in the IMT-2000 user aspects is also introduced to determine the major QoS parameters. Finally, to define the performance factors of the network elements in the NP system, the various control parameters for the wireless and core networks are presented.
