The Effects of Dramatherapy Program on Sociality of Isolated Children (연극치료 프로그램이 고립아동의 사회성에 미치는 효과)

  • This study is to know the effect of drama therapy on the sociality of isolated children. To achieve this goal, the following hypothesis was built. Hypothesis I. Dramatherapy program will improve the sociality of isolated children. I -1. Dramatherapy program will improve in cooperation. I -2. Dramatherapy program will improve in independency. I -3. Dramatherapy program will improve in sociability. I -4. Dramatherapy program will improve in law-abiding. To test this hypothesis, the social and emotional isolation test was conducted in 190 children consisting of fifth-grader from N elementary school located in Busan to select 28 children whose founded to be isolated; among these children, eight who wanted to participate in the program were positioned at the experimental group and other eight who didn't want to do and who demonstrated the range of marks similar to the experimental group were positioned at the control group. The dramatherapy program was based on the theory by Robert Landy (2002), Jennings (2003) and Phil Jones (2005) to improve the sociality of isolated children and was implemented in a total of 15 sessions, two sessions a week after school. To test the effect of the program, A modified test paper by Suh, Poongyeon (1991) with the content of testing sociality into a test paper of human nature for elementary school students to be made by Jeong, Bummo (1971) was used which consists of four sub-factors: cooperation, independency, sociability, law-abiding. As a quantitative analysis, Mann-Whitney Test were analyzed for experimental and control groups. As a qualitative analysis, the interaction patterns among student were analyzed on he basis of video tapes. The tool of observe the interaction patterns among student was Interaction Process Analysis System which was made by Bales (1970). This study obtained the following result First, the drama therapy had meaningful effect on the sociality of the sociality of isolated children. But the quantitative change of the sociality test conclusion was showed meaningfully and positive social behavior was increased in periodical process analysis. Second, in the Interaction Process Analysis(IPA) affirmative interactions increased and negative interactions decreased.

Development of Program to improve the Positive Psychology Capital of University Student' and its Effects (대학생의 긍정심리자본 향상 프로그램 개발 및 효과 분석)

  • The aim of this study was to development a program to improve the positive psychological capital of university students and its effects. The program to improve the positive psychological capital of university students was developed based on the systemic counseling program development model. For this purpose, the program to improve the positive psychological capital was carried out a total of 6 times (90 minutes per session) once a week for 24 university students at "C"university located in Gangwon-do, which was divided into 2 groups. In this study, the data were collected through a pretest and a posttest and, data analysis was performed using SPSS 20.0 ver. Based on the results, the program to improve the positive psychology capital was effective in increasing the positive psychology capital. Finally, the implications of the results, as well as the significance and limitations of the present study are discussed.

A Developing of Self-directed Learning Program to Improve Abilities for Learning Mathematics (수학 학습 능력 향상을 위한 자기 주도적 학습 프로그램 개발)

  • This research developed self-directed teaming program for students who learn mathematics to improve their abilities for learning mathematics. A small-group cooperative teaming model was based on the self-directed loaming program which this research developed. The main target of this program was the second grade students of middle school. The program was consisted with three developing parts. The part 1 of program developing was consisted with analyzing and reconstructing mathematics curriculum, devising small-group cooperative learning program, and structuring teaching and teaming plans. The part 2 included the management of small-group cooperative Loaming and how to use the materials which this research developed. The part 3 provided various cooperative learning opportunities for students to improve their abilities for loaming mathematics.

A group counsel ing program to improve the learning habits of elementary school children with learning difficulties (초등학생의 학습습관 향상을 위한 집단상담 프로그램 개발과 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a group counseling program to improve the learning habits of the elementary school children who experience difficulties learning, because of their wrong learning habits. To achieve it, the sub-elements of learning habits are set by "learning motive & attitude" and "learning technique" A group counseling program composed of the essential factors suitable for each element are srhseqrently, devised to pursue the improvement of learning habits. The study propositions are set as follows: Can the group counseling program improve the learning habits of elementary school children? 1. Can the group counseling program improve the learning motive and attitude of elementary school children? 2. Can the group counseling program improve the learning technique of elementary school children? The subject of this study is the 4th graders of W elementary school located in Gwangju Metropolitan City. After selecting 12 pupils from low scorers after a learning habits test, Each 6 of those are randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group, respectively. In this way, they are pcrticipate in the group counseling program. The group counseling program is consisted of 10 sessions. The program is implemented for six weeks with a 50 min duration per session. As a measuring tool, a restructured test with only motive variables and technique variables, excluding remaining variables, from the Learning Habits Test by Choi Jong-Ryul (1992) is used for pre and post tests. The results of the study is acquired by integrating the statistics from the test tool. Observation of the counselor and testees' thoughts are as follows: The group counseling program affects the sub-elements of learning habits positively, namely learning motive & attitude and learning technique. The program applied in this study is effective in improving the learning habits of the pupils with lower learning habits. Accordingly, this program can be one of the methods to develop effective learning habits, set efficient strategies and exert abilities maximally for the learners, who did not adequately exert their abilities, due to wrong learning habits, while ineffectively learning without knowing effective learning habits. To improve and maintain the learning habits of the elementary school pupils, overall understanding should be backed in order to precisely analyze and identify the learning habits of the pupils. Besides, an association between schools and homes is also needed along with parents' concerns over their children's learning habits at home.

The Effect of Solution-Focused Brief Group Therapy Program on the Interaction between Developmental disorder Children and Parents (해결중심 부모집단상담이 발달장애아동과 부모의 상호작용에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect solution-focused brief group therapy program on a relationship between developmental disorder children and their parents. The following research question is formulated to address the purpose: (1) Does solution-focused brief group therapy program will improve interaction on parents's "warmth" and "involvement"? (2) Does solution-focused brief group therapy program will improve interaction on child's overall action and relative behavior? (3) Does solution-focused brief group therapy program will improve relationship between the developmental disorder children and their parents? For research, 12 disabled children and their parents are assigned into two groups: Experimental and Control group. Findings are that. (1) The solution-focused brief group therapy program showed positive reaction on "parent's warm heart" but there was no reaction on "involvement". (2) The solution-focused brief group therapy program affect on interaction types of the disabled children. 3) According to self-recorded report, the parents' satisfaction of consultation has been increased by frequency. These results showing that the solution-focused brief group therapy are affected the interaction between developmental disorder and their own parents. Clinically, this outcome shows a significant practical implications on social work intervention.

  • The purpose of this study is developing a Science Drawing Program to improve Science Process Skills and examining the effect of it. For this study two classes (missed classes with boys and girls) of 3th grade students participated and the subject of the instruction was domain of Air and Weather. The result of this study were as follows: First, the Science Drawing Program was effective in improving the science process skills. Development and Application of the Science Drawing Program brought positive effects especially on the observation, measurement, reasoning power. Second, student showed positive recognition on the Science Drawing Program. Many students showed interests and want to use it in class. And they thought Drawing Program helpful in their learning. Therefore the Science Drawing Program is very effective method in science education.

  • In this paper, we propose a Science subject program based on programming learning to improve computational thinking ability in middle school. As the necessity of software education rises recently, the subject of information was designated as the mandatory subject in elementary, middle and high schools. In order to cultivate the ability that enables the leaners to search the knowledge in need by themselves and raise troubleshooting method, not the existing indoctrination, his thesis was willing to improve Computational Thinking ability and improve the ability of considering and thinking the matters by using scratch language. For that, this thesis developed and suggested science subject program that utilizes the programming learning.

Development of Science STEAM Program Using Storytelling (스토리텔링을 활용한 과학과 STEAM 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of creative thinking activities and scientific attitude through the use of storytelling in the STEAM program for elementary students. For the purpose of this study, a teaching plan and worksheet for students using storytelling in STEAM was developed and applied. The results of this study are as follows: First, the change in students' creative thinking activities by applying the STEAM program using storytelling has statistically meaningful difference (p<.05). Second, the improvement in the scientific attitude score has statistically meaningful difference(p<.05). Third, according to the analysis of a questionnaire used to evaluate the program, students had a positive perception of the STEAM program and gained higher level of satisfaction about the lesson. Therefore, using storytelling STEAM program applied in this study might be useful to improve creative thinking activities, and can be expected to improve scientific attitude and should be widely applied to gifted education.

  • This paper aims at implementing a new program designed to improve the level of communicative competence of Korean learners of English. For this purpose, the most important issue to be resolved is defined first. Then, a brief survey of the literature on the nature of communicative competence. Next, methodological considerations are added in because they are thought to be the keys to success. Lastly, the main teaching points are presented to ensure the success. The paper as a whole is a presentation of a new program for a better communicative competence. The new program is nothing other than actual communicative practice which ensures an authentic interaction.

  • To improve maritime security and enhance international shipping commerce within US ports in addition to ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code), the TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) program is working on the maritime field from the October 15, 2008 in the United States. In this paper, the program is reviewed and investigated in terms of goal, benefit, solution, and related legislation so forth In addition, other maritime security programs including MMD (Merchant Mariner Document), FAST (Free and Secure Trade), SIDA (Security Identification Display Areas). and Air Cargo security program was analyzed and compared in order to obtain relationship and difference with the program in terms of enrollment frequency, list and method of security check, and profile of each program As a result of this paper, the program is mostly to improve maritime security, protect individual privacy, and enhance commerce rather than other programs.
