  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the adaptation of beauty of traditional dress depicted contemporary Korean fashion design. For this purpose, the external form and the internal meaning based on 'the double roots' proposed by W$\ddot{o}$lfflin were analyzed in Korean traditional dress. Documentary studies and objective studies were done with descriptive and content analytic methods. And homospatial process was devised in order to develop the traditional identity in contemporary fashion design. The results were as follows: 1. As the external form, H. O. A silhouette, chogori, ch'ima, paji, and po concerning internal type, kaftan, flat form related to structured type were represented. Traditional color sense were love of white, contrasting as well as analogous color harmony shown often in nature phenomena, and temperate achromatic color harmony. Texture were characterized as rough and coarse expressing vividness, fine and smooth expressing delicateness and tenderness. As the internal meaning, the beauty of purity related to nature, tragedy, and symbolism were represented. 2. Since 1980's. Korean fashion designers frequently applied unstructural kaftan form and H silhouette to Korean fashion design, and sought natural and pliable line in whole dress. Use of white and achromatic color harmony as well as use of linnen were prominent. Designers' aesthetic consciousness was pursuit of the beauty of nature. Representative designers who concentrated on expressing traditional beauty were Lee Shinwoo, Sul Yoonhyung, Jin Taiok and others. 3. A homospatial process could be a method in the creative design which enables to express Korean identity in fashion design, and could suggest ideas of new designs full of Korean identity by superimposed and fused imaginery.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the radiographic results and complications after the proximal dome osteotomy for hallux valgus. Material and Methods: 127 cases of clinically moderate to severe hallux valgus from October 1994 to September 1997 were included in this study. All had been surgically corrected with proximal dome osteotomy, bunionectomy, and distal soft tissue release. We compared the hallux valgus angle(HVA) and intermetatarsal angle(IMA) at preoperative, postoperative 3 weeks, postoperative 6 weeks, and postoperative 3 months. Also we reviewed the postoperative com plications. Result: The HVA averaged $34.1^{\circ}$ at preoperative, $4.3^{\circ}$ at 3 weeks after operation, $8.1^{\circ}$ at 6 weeks after operation, and $10.2^{\circ}$ at 3 months after operation. The lMA averaged $14.6^{\circ}$ at preoperative, $5.1^{\circ}$ at 3 weeks after operation, $5.6^{\circ}$ at 6 weeks after operation, and $7.3^{\circ}$ at 3 months after operation. We experienced 7 cases of malunion, 5 cases of limitation of motin at the first metatarso-phalangeal joint, 3 cases of hallux varus deformity, 2 cases of delayed union. Conclusion: Proximal dome osteotomy for moderate to severe hallux valgus deformity was considered as one of the effective treatment methods. And we try to avoid limitation of motion at the first metatarso-phalangeal joint after operation.

  • This paper provides an evaluation of an optimization-based, multiple-input double-output (MIDO) run-to-run (R2R) control scheme for general semiconductor manufacturing processes. The controller in this research, termed adaptive dual response optimizing controller (ADROC), can serve as a process optimizer as well as a recipe regulator between consecutive runs of wafer fabrication. In evaluation, it is assumed that the equipment model could be appropriately described by a pair of second-order polynomial functions in terms of a set of controllable variables. Of practical relevance is to consider a drifting effect in the equipment model since in common semiconductor practice the process tends to drift due to machine aging and tool wearing. We select a typical application of R2R control to chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) in semiconductor manufacturing in this evaluation, and there are five different CMP process scenarios demonstrated, including mean shift, variance increase, and IMA disturbances. For the controller, ADROC, an on-line estimation technique is implemented in a self-tuning (ST) control manner for the adaptation purpose. Subsequently, an ad hoc global optimization algorithm based on the dual response approach, arising from the response surface methodology (RSM) literature, is used to seek the optimum recipe within the acceptability region for the execution of next run. The main components of ADROC are described and its control performance is assessed. It reveals from the evaluation that ADROC can provide excellent control actions for the MIDO R2R situations even though the process exhibits complicated, nonlinear interaction effects between control variables, and the drifting disturbances.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the short-term outcome of physiotherapy in patients with acetabular labral tears and to assess the effectiveness of physiotherapy according to the severity of the labral tear. Materials and Methods: Thirty-five patients who underwent physiotherapy for treatment of symptomatic acetabular labral tears were enrolled. We evaluated the severity of the acetabular labral tears, which were classified based on the Czerny classification system using 3-T MRI. Clinical findings of microinstability and extra-articular pathologies of the hip joint were also examined. The International Hip Outcome Tool 12 (iHOT12) was use for evaluation of outcome scores pre- and post-intervention. Results: The mean iHOT12 score showed significant improvement from 44.0 to 73.6 in 4.7 months. Compared with pre-intervention scores, significantly higher post-intervention iHOT12 scores were observed for Czerny stages I and II tears (all P<0.01). However, no significant difference was observed between pre-intervention and post-intervention iHOT12 scores for stage III tears (P=0.061). In addition, seven patients (20.0%) had positive microinstability findings and 22 patients (62.9%) had findings of extra-articular pathologies. Of the 35 patients, eight patients (22.9%) underwent surgical treatment after failure of conservative management; four of these patients had Czerny stage III tears. Conclusion: The iHOT12 score of patients with acetabular labral tears was significantly improved by physiotherapy in the short-term period. Improvement of the clinical score by physiotherapy may be poor in patients with severe acetabular labral tears. Determining the severity of acetabular labral tears can be useful in determining treatment strategies.

  • This study's aim was to isolate microorganisms producing agarase with a high activity, with possible applications in improving the performance of the pretreatment processes for bioethanol production. Marine algaes were collected from the south coast of Korea, from which three kinds of microorganisms were isolated. After a 4-day culture of these strains at $25^{\circ}C$, crude enzymes were obtained from culture supernatant or cell-free extract by ammonium sulfate precipitation and membrane dialysis. Agarase activity was observed in these crude enzymes. Notably higher specific activity was observed in the crude enzyme obtained from the culture supernatant rather than that from the cell-free extract. This indicates that a secreted enzyme has a much greater activity than a cellular enzyme. Crude enzymes from the GNUM08122 strain were inferred to have ${\alpha}$-agarase activity because release of p-nitrophenol was observed, possibly due to the cleavage of p-nitrophenyl-${\alpha}$-D-galactopyranoside. The 16S rRNA sequence of GNUM08122 showed a close relationship to Pseudoalteromonas issachenkonii KMM 3549 (99.8%) and Pseudoalteromonas tetraodonis IMA 14160 (99.7%), which led us to assign it to the genus Pseudoalteromonas. Biochemical and physiological study revealed that this strain can grow well at $40^{\circ}C$ under a wide range of pH (pH 4~8) in high-salt conditions (10% NaCl).

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the selective control of creeping bentgrass invaded in Kentucky bluegrass by applying several herbicides and recovery of Kentucky bluegrass by sand injection seeding method. Selective herbicides such as mecoprop, triclopyr-TEA, imazaquin, bentazone and penosulam pyrazosulfuro-ethyl and non-selective herbicides such as glyphosate, paraquat dichloride and glyphsate ammonium oxyflorfen were used. Selective suppression of creeping bentgrass in Kentucky bluegrass was evaluated by turf color, chlorophyll and visual control indexes. Control of creeping bentgrass was most effective with the double dose application of triclopyr-TEA (2 Tri-T) in the selective herbicides and the 1 / 5 dose application of glyphosate ammonium oxyflorfen (1 / 5 GAO) in the non-selective herbicides. Visual control indexes by 2 Tri-T in selective herbicides and 1 / 5 GAOin non-selective herbicides were investigated 6.0 and 7.4, respectively. Treated sites were covered completely in 50 days after seeding Kentucky bluegrass by sand injection method.

  • Hornblende geobarometry has been applied to estimate the emplacement depth of the Jurassic Yeongiu, Andong, and Gimcheon granites in the Yeongnam Massif. Geobarometry was determined from the twenty two samples of the Yeongiu granite, ten samples of the Andong granite and twelve samples of the Gimcheon granite, using the composition of hornblende rims coexisting with the mineral assemblage required for pressure determination. Amphibole compositions in the three granites vary from edenite to ferropargasite with the increase of pressure. According to the equation of Schmidt(1992), the pressures of emplacement of the Yeongiu, Andong, and Gimcheon granites are 5.6 to 7.9 kb, 5.5 to 7.5 kb, and 4.1 kb to 5.3 kb, respectively. The emplacement depth in the Yeongiu granites increase systematically from about 6 kb in the northwest to about 7.5 kb in the southeast. Andong granite shows no systematic change of the pressure estimates. The Gimcheon granite shows almost consistent pressure distribution. The pressure difference of about 1.5 kb across the Yeongiu granite may be explained by a model combining late postemplacement upsurge of a deeper part of the pluton in the south with tilting of the batholith by Yecheon shear zone.

  • This article aims to observe the role of Arabic and analyze the future of Arabic in France under the base of the Al-Sabhan Rabina Baldhawe's article, published in mettre l'importance sur University Paris 8 in 2007. In the first part, we have focus into the historical analysis: in France, with a few Arabic and French policy has been settled for what were examined. Also enable the use of Arabic in France with regard to trends of Maghreb countries and other Arab countries, is being led by noted. In the second part, we put on the importance about the situation of Arabic in the France's educational institution. And we have analysed the reasons why Arabic became the most important reason for learning the target language: - in order to faciliate the children of immigrants living in Maghreb able to speak French - Due to differences in culture and language experience to relieve the psychological insecurity above sea - By using the Arabic language at home among family members, strengthen solidarity and resolve heterogeneity In the third part, we have recognized that the French education system was looked at in the Journal of Arabic teaching elementary, middle and high school courses, separated by a learning Arabic as the target language. Finally, we have tried to find a way to revitalize Arabic in France in connection with Sabhan Rabina Al-Baldhawe concrete example of the paper were based on a survey. France and the Arab countries' relationship has been long enough to prove the historic aspects and economic cooperation have maintained a relationship even tighter. Arabic, many of the French people also need education and children to learn Arabic in the French educational institution that has shown a positive stance. French students learning Arabic as a future career in choosing the width of the wider benefits it helps to have. Learning Arabic in the course need to be addressed is also true that a lot of points. But the Arabic and various aspects of internal organization is considered a minority in the popular Arabic language training in France has become more competitive in research and analysis to be active stance is required externally, such as the increase of trade agreements and economic systems side at the level of cultural exchange and international co-operation system, strengthening its position as the Arabic language in France.

  • The development trend of jet fighter's avionics system architecture is the digitization of subsystem component functions, increased RF sensor sharing, fiber optic channel networks, and modularized integrated structures. The avionics system architecture of the fifth generation jet fighters (F-22, F-35) has evolved into an integrated modular avionics system based on computing function integration and RF integrated sensor systems. The integrated modular avionics system of jet fighters should provide improved combat power, fault tolerance, and ease of jet fighter control. To this aim, this paper presents the direction and requirements of the next-generation jet fighter's avionics system architecture through analysis of the fifth generation jet fighter's avionics system architecture. The core challenge of the integrated modularized avionic system architecture requirements for next-generation fighters is to build a platform that integrates major components and sensors into aircraft. In other words, the architecture of the next-generation fighters is standardization of systems, sensor integration of each subsystem through open interfaces, integration of functional elements, network integration, and integration of pilots and fighters to improve their ability to respond and control.

  • Background: As coronary arterial disease is increasing, we evaluated the patients who underwent CABG(Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting) and thus report the early results and risk factors related to mortality and morbidity. Materials and methods: Between July 1996 and February 1998, 42 patients underwent CABG. We analyzed age, sex, preoperative ejection fraction, Canadian heart classification, prevalence factors of CAD(Coronary Artery Disease), angiographic findings, graft vessel numbers, IMA(Internal Mallary Artery) use, ECC* (extracorporeal circulation) time and morbidity. We also evaluated the mortality rate and the causes of death. Results: Complication was developed at 17cases. The average age of the complication group was 61±11.9 years and that of the noncomplication group was 51±10.5 years(p=0.004). ECC time was 198±42.5(min) in the complication group and 158±47.4(min) in the noncomplication group(p=0.008). The other factors had no correlation to the morbidity, statistically. The average follow up duration was 12.5 months and all the patients were alive except for the 2 expired cases. The mortality rate was 4.7%, among which one patient who underwent CABG with aortic valve replacement died due to multiorgan failure and the other died due to sepsis with pneumonia and wound infection. Conclusions: We conclude that the risk factors related to morbidity were age and ECC time, and that there were no correlations between other factors and morbidity.
