Investigation on Natural Modes of Substructure of Wave Energy Converter with Overtopping Flow Device (나선암초형 월류파력발전 하부구조물의 모드특성 연구)

  • An efficient wave energy converter with new overtopping flow device on which spiral reefs are attached is proposed by Maritime and Ocean Engineering Research Institute in Korea and its candidate substructures such as monopile, tripod and jacket are designed. This study investigates modal characteristics of the substructures by analyzing natural frequencies and mode shapes. Based on the modal analysis results, relative strength, governing modes and some complementary design strategies of each candidate substructure are compared and discussed considering water depth conditions.

The Water Extract of Boswellia carterii Induces Apoptosis in Human Leukemia HL-60 Cells (유향 물 추출물의 HL-60 혈액암세포에서 세포사멸 유도효과)

  • The possible mechanism of the antiproliferative and apoptotic effects of Boswellia carterri water extract were studied in HL-60 human leukemia cells. The cytotoxicity of HL-60 cells after the treatment of Boswellia carterii water extract showed dose- and time-dependent manner. The apoptotic effect of 300 $\mu$g/ml Boswellia carterii water extract was demonstrated by DNA laddering. The activity of caspase 3-1ike protease was markedly increased in HL-60 cells treated with Boswellia carterii water extract. Furthermore, the level of Bcl-2 was time-dependently reduced, whereas Bax protein level was enhanced by Boswellia carterii water extract treatment. In conclusion, our results suggest that apoptotic effect of Boswellia carterii water extract may partly mediated through activations of caspase-3 activity and Bax expression, and inhibition of Bcl-2 expression.

  • 1D Analysis have been using Design of SCP in order to improve the soft ground. But 2D Analysis is researching and developing to get more accurate results. Using 2D Analysis, suitable Numerical Analysis Model should be selected and be tested in many situations. In this study, Laboratory Model Tests are analyzed by Numerical Analysis Method. After selecting Numerical Analysis Model, it is being tested many conditions.

  • IPSec은 IETF에 의해 IP 레이어 보안을 위한 개방형 구조로 설계된 것으로 인터넷에서의 정보보호를 대표한다. 그리고 ISKMP는 인터넷에서 요구되는 정보보호를 설정하기 위한 인증, 키 관리 및 보안협상등을 담당하는 프로토콜로써 IPSec으로 보다 체계화된 인터넷 정보보호를 제공하기 위해 포함되어야 하는 IKE에서 사용하는 프로토콜이다. 이러한 IPSec을 이용한 보안 시스템을 개발하기 위해서는 시스템에서 사용하고 있는 프로토콜들에 대한 평가 방법도 같이 제시되어야 하나, 기존의 프로토콜 분석 도구들은 IPSec에서 제공하고 있는 프로토콜들을 분석하지 못할 뿐만 아니라 개발단계에서의 구현 평가를 하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 IPSec을 구현하는데 필요한 AH 및 ESP 프로토콜과 ISAKMP 프로토콜을 실시간으로 분석하고, 이들 프로토콜들이 얼마나 잘 구현되었는지를 평가할 수 있는 프로토콜 분석 도구를 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • A surge counter is installed under surge arrester, which is protecting the power system apparatuses against abnormal voltage and surges originated in power system line. A surge counter is the device of knowing the times of surge flowed in. There are two methods to get the electric power for mechanical movement and detect the surge. One is using ZnO varistor resister and the other is using the current transformer. In this paper, the characteristics of these methods are presented with using the test and evaluation of them. The process of evaluating the characteristics is essential to develop the domestic surge counter.

  • The confidence of new technology development for NO_x$ components elimination is obtained as conclusion based 1ike followings ; 1) The technology using PSC spark is a excellent methods for NO_x$ components elimination above 70% without by-product pollutants. 2) Some materials like Oxygen, Vaporized Water and Ammonia, increase the of NO_x$ elimination by staged addition. 3) Environmental conditions like pulse frequency and peak voltage are the important dosing factors for pollutants elimination effects. 4) As the PSC technic is the up-to-date one for pollutions elimination the research and development must be executed continuously for the purpose of theoretical establishment. And the application field must be broaden in future.

  • This study aims to evaluate the properties and the performance of the newly designed disconnector for surge arrester. This disconnector was verified with the performance in long-duration current impulse test and high current impulse test. And time-current characteristic test was done at 20A, 200A and 800A(3points) for simulating the internal fault condition of the arrester. The results of this test was very good. Consequently, the newly designed disconnector was, evaluated that it is possible to be used for surge arrester in distribution line system.

  • The most recent trend on digital hearing aid is to increase the ratio of signal to noise by directivity or to develop noise reduction algorithm inside DSP IC chip. This paper designed, fabricated and tested a digital hearing aid directivity testing device in which a micro-mouse-1ike the stepping motor with a speaker rotates around an examinant. Both ears of the examinant were fixed with ITE hearing aids in order to response to receiving sound. The experimental results were compared with a boundary element method program for verification. The diameter of the directivity testing device was 2 [m] and the micro-mouse was precisely controlled by PICBASIC micro processor.

  • The study was carried out about the development of the propulsion and the control systems toy Korean High Speed Train. The propulsion system was studied to run the maximum operating speed of 350km/h. The capacity of the main equipments is decided for the train to run the maximum operating speed of 350km/h with one Ike of 2 power cars, 4 motorized trailers and 14 intermediate trailers. The control system was studied to two parts the supply and the control of high and low voltages used at train. The performance study of control system would be continued for interface with other systems.

  • Due to high permeability of the ferrite core, the characteristics of the ICP are expected to be greatly improved. We investigated the effect of the ferrite cores on conventional inductively coupled plasma. It was observed that the current and voltage in ike ICP antenna are slightly decreased and the power transfer efficiency is increased. However, due to eddy current and hysterisis loss, plasma density in the ICP with the ferrite cores is not increased. It seems that the ICP with the ferrite cores at low frequency (${\~}$100kHz) will be greatly improved since the losses at the low frequency can be negligible.
