The Design of Operation and Control Solution with Intelligent Inference Capability for IED based Digital Switchgear Panel (IED를 기반으로 하는 디지털 수배전반의 지적추론기반 운전제어 솔루션 설계)

  • In this paper, DSPOCS(Digital Switchgear-Panel Operation and Control Solution) is designed, which is the intelligent inference based operation and control solution to obtain the safety and reliability of electric power supply in substation based on IED. DSPOCS is designed as a scheduled monitoring and control task and a real-time alarm inference task, and is interlinked with BRES(Bus Reconfiguration Expert System) in the required case. The intelligent alarm inference task consists of the alarm knowledge generation part and the real-time pattern matching part. The alarm knowledge generation part generates automatically alarm knowledge from DB saves it in alarm knowledge base. On the other hand, the pattern matching part inferences the real-time event by comparing the real-time event information furnished from IEDs of substation with the patterns of the saved alarm knowledge base.; Especially, alarm knowledge base includes the knowledge patterns related with fault alarm, the overload alarm and the diagnosis alarm. In order to design the database independently in substation structure, busbar is represented as a connectivity node which makes the more generalized graph theory possible. Finally, DSPOCS is implemented in MS Visual $C^{++}$, MFC, the effectiveness and accuracy of the design is verified by simulation study to the typical distribution substation.

  • 최근 송배전 시스템 분야에서 종래의 인간의 개입을 최소화하여 이루어질 수 있도록 통합화, 자동화 및 원격 감시화가 추진되고 있으며 이는 기존의 전기 장비들을 통신 기능을 갖는 마이크로 프로세스 기반의 IED(Intelligent Electronic Device)로 대체함으로써 가능해 졌다. 단일 표준화 작업이 이루어지기 전 다양한 프로토콜의 사용에 따른 장비 간 호환성 결여로 통신 프로토콜 표준화 필요성이 강하게 제기되었고, 1990년대 표준화 작업을 시작하여 최근 변전소 자동화용 단일 세계 표준인 IEC 61850이 UCA2.0과 유럽의 경험을 기반으로 IEC주관아래 개발되었다. 이러한 세계기술 동향을 반영해 IEC 61850 기반의 종합변전소 자동화 시스템의 구축이 필요하고, 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 IEC 61850 통신 프로토콜을 살펴보고 기본적인 IED 통신 실험 장치를 구성하고 메시지 전송 실험을 수행하였다.

  • In order to construct the IEC 61850 based substation automation system, the IED integration engineering tool is necessary to cope with the substation automation by full digital devices in the real power system. Compared the configuration tools provided IED vendors which are able to support the operation and communication analysis among IEDs, the XML based IED integration engineering tool can build, edit and save the ICD, SCL and CID files. Particularly, the IED integration engineering tool is possible to apply the IEC 61850 based IEDs to engineering the systems and also provides the reliability and efficiency of the system to the utilities and manufacturers.

  • This paper proposes a hardware of IED for power transformer protection that is well constructed using DSP chip and MPU chip. The performance of the adaptive relaying algorithm, by real-time testing in a prototype of it, has been verified. And test results indicate the proposed relaying of the IED was proven to be faster and more reliable.

  • In this paper, we consider a digital protection IED(Intelligent Electric Device) for a distributed power system. The IED can measure various elements for protection and communicate with another devices through network. The protection IED is composed of specific function modules: signal process module which converts analog signal from PT and CT handle algorithm to digital one; communication module for connection with another IEDs; input/output module for user-interfaces. A general purpose DSP board with TMS320C2812 is used in the IED. In order to verify the proposed IED, experimental researches with the power system simulator DOBLE has been carried out for a phase earth fault. The results show an under-voltage relaying algorithm has been realized sucessfully in the hardware system.

  • This paper develops a new Intelligent Electronic Device (IED), and then presents an application method of a monthly load forecasting algorithm on the smart IEDs. A Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) model implemented with Recursive Least Square (RLS) estimation is established in the algorithm. Case Study proves the accuracy and reliability of this algorithm and demonstrates the practical meanings through designed screens. The application method shows the general way to make use of IED's smart characteristics and thereby reveals a broad prospect of smart function realization in application.

  • IEC 61850은 변전소자동화시스템에 대한 국제 표준이다. IEC 61850 파트 7에서는 상호운용성을 위하여 IED (Intelligent Electronic Device)에 구현해야 할 정보모델과 서비스 모델을 추상적로 정의하였다. IEC 61850 파트 8에서 정의된 SCSM (Specific communication service mapping)은 추상적인 객체와 서비스를 MMS (Manufacturing Message Specification, ISO 9506) 와 ISO/IEC 8802-3으로 매핑하는 것을 정의한다. 이 논문은 SCSM을 이용하여 어떻게 IEC 61850 기반의 IED를 구현해야 하는지 설명한다.

  • 통신 및 디지털 연산 기술의 비약적인 발전은 변전소 내부의 정보를 공유 및 통합시켜 변전소 자동화 시스템을 등장할 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 그러나 변전소에 적용된 자동화 시스템은 152 종류의 서로 다른 프로토콜이 사용되어 IED(Intelligent Electronic Device)간 통신이 어려움에 직면하게 되었다. 따라서 이종 IED간 원활한 정보 공유가 가능하도록 변전소에 표준화된 통신 아키텍쳐로서 IEC 61850 통신 프로토콜이 규정되었다. 이 논문은 변전소 내부에 IEC 61850 통신 프로토콜을 이용한 IED간 통신 클라이언트 모듈을 개발한 사례를 소개하고자 한다.

  • In this article, we deal with the IED(Intelligent Electronic Device) on the EMC aspect. Recognizing how expensive the thorough EMC work will be regarding the entire IED, we focus on the characteristics of RF signals moving along multiple TX-lines in one specified example of the typical IED structure, say, the layer of trace lines. Simplifying the real structure, we run a 3D EM program and analyze the properties of signals on the lines and interference due to the coupling between the neighboring lines.
