  • As cloud computing is activated, a variety of cloud services are being distributed. However, to use each different cloud service, you must perform a individual user authentication process to service. Therefore, not only the procedure is cumbersome but also due to repeated authentication process performance, it can cause password exposure or database overload that needs to have user's authentication information each cloud server. Moreover, there is high probability of security problem that being occurred by phishing attacks that result from different authentication schemes and input scheme for each service. Thus, when you want to use a variety of cloud service, we proposed OpenID based user authentication scheme that can be applied to a multi-cloud environment by the trusted user's verify ID provider.

  • Wireless Body Area Networks is an environment that provides an appropriate service remotely by collecting user's biometric information. With the growing importance of sensor, WBAN also attracts extensive attention. Since WBAN is representatively used in the medical field, it can be directly related to the patient's life. Hence security is very important in WBAN. Mutual authentication between the client and the application provider is essential. And efficiency is also important because a used device is limited to computation cost. In this reason, ID-based anonymous authentication scheme in WBAN has been intensively studied. We show that the recent research result of Wu et al. which is about the ID-based anonymous authentication scheme is vulnerable to impersonation attack. And we propose a new ID-based anonymous authentication scheme that is secure against the attacks discovered in the existing schemes. Compared to the existing schemes, the computation cost of our scheme is improved by 30.6% and 7.3%.

  • ID is used as identifying information and password as user authentication for ID-based authentication. In order to have a secure user authentication, the password is generated as a hash value on the client and sent to the server, where it is compared with the stored information and authentication is performed. However, if even one character is incorrect, the different hash value is generated, authentication will be failed and cannot be performed and various functions cannot be applied to the password. In this study, we generate several hash value including imaginary number of entered password and transmit to server and perform authentcation. we propose a technique can grants the right differentially to give various rights to the user who have many rights by one account. This can defend shoulder surfing attack by imaginary password and provide convenience to users who have various rights by granting right based on password.

  • AAA(Authentication, Authorization, Accounting) is the service that offers authentication, authorization, and accounting method, and every terminal that accesses the network requires this AAA service. The authentication process of a mobile terminal is as follows: a mobile phone accesses an authentication server in a home network via the authentication service in an external network, which receives the authentication result. And, for the home authentication server to offer secure service, a unique key is distributed for the secure communication between the external agent and the user, the external agent and the home authentication server, and the user and the home authentication server. This paper discusses and proposes the key distribution for secure communication among external authentication servers when a mobile terminal travels to an external network. As the proposed method does not require the home authentication server to reissue another authentication when a user travels to other external networks, it reduces the overload in the home authentication server. It can also distribute a PIN-driven key.

  • Recently, many hash-based authentication protocols were presented to guarantee mutual authentication between tag and DB in RFID system. To be suitable for distributed DB environment, one generally uses fixed constant value as a tag ID. However, some existing protocols have security flaws or heavy computational loads in DB in order to search a tag ID. We propose a secure authentication protocol which is suitable for distributed DB environment by using unchangeable tag ID. The storage method of pre-synchronized information in DB at previous session is core idea of our proposal which gives low-cost ID search of DB at next session. In normal synchronization state, our protocol only requires 3 hash operations in tag and DB respectively.

  • This paper is proposed Hadoop security protocol to protect a reply attack and impersonation attack. The proposed hadoop security protocol is consists of user authentication module, public key based data node authentication module, name node authentication module, and data node authentication module. The user authentication module is issued the temporary access ID from TGS after verifing user's identification on Authentication Server. The public key based data node authentication module generates secret key between name node and data node, and generates OTKL(One-Time Key List) using Hash-chain. The name node authentication module verifies user's identification using user's temporary access ID, and issues DT(Delegation Token) and BAT(Block Access Token) to user. The data node authentication module sends the encrypted data block to user after verifing user's identification using OwerID of BAT. Therefore the proposed hadoop security protocol dose not only prepare the exposure of data node's secret key by using OTKL, timestamp, owerID but also detect the reply attack and impersonation attack. Also, it enhances the data access of data node, and enforces data security by sending the encrypted data.

  • In this paper, an electronic ID system satisfying security requirements of authentication certificate was designed using fingerprint recognition. The proposed electronic ID system generates a digital signature with forgery prevention, confidentiality, content integrity, and personal identification (=non-repudiation) using fingerprint information, and also encrypts, sends, and verify it. The proposed electronic ID system exploits fingerprint instead of user password, so it avoids leakage and hijacking. And it provides same legal force as conventional authentication certificate. The proposed electronic ID consists of 4 modules, i.e. HSM device, verification server, CA server, and RA client. Prototypes of all modules are designed and verified to have correct operation.

  • To guarantee security between the tag and back-end server and implementation efficiency in low power tag, we propose two typed mutual authentication protocols in RFID system. One is static-ID authentication scheme which is well suitable in distributed server environments. The other is dynamic-ID scheme which is additively satisfied forward security. In proposed scheme, it does not need any random number generator in tag and requires only one(maximally three) hash operation(s) in tag or server to authenticate each other. Furthermore, we implement the proposed schemes in RFID smart card system and verify its normal operations.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a secure dynamic ID allocation protocol using mutual authentication on the RFID tag. Currently, there are many security protocols focused on the low-price RFID tag. The conventional low-price tags have limitation of computing power and rewritability of memory. The proposed secure dynamic ID allocation protocol targets to the high-performance RFID tags which have more powerful performance than conventional low-price tag by allocating dynamic ID to RFID using mutual authentication based on symmetric encryption algorithm. This protocol can be used as a partial solution for ID tracing and forgery.
