ICT Utilization and Recognition by Home Economics Teachers in Secondary schools (중등학교 가정과 교사의 ICT 활용수업의 실태와 인지도)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual ICT utilization and recognition, to identify the effective and relevant chapters of home economics which can be taught using ICT in teaching and learning method. There were 372 secondary school teachers being participated in the survey. The results of this study can be summarized as follows 1. The reason why they have ICT utilization Instruction is to help the learners improve the academic accomplishment in the development stage through providing data from web-surfing and presentational data such as developed CD, animation and presentations. 2. Regarding ICT utilization capability. teachers have the capability to send and receive E-mail, make a presentation data. practical use of Internet. In addition, the group with less than 10 years experience have a higher capability in information technology. 3. Concerning ICT utilization recognition, this result shows that ICT Instruction is the most effective to motivate learners, and teachers anticipate ICT Instruction would improve the quality of the teaching & learning. 4. The chapter such as 'how to make clothing and recycling'(database). 'the foundation of cooking and its application' (database). 'gender and acquaintance of the opposite sex', 'nutrition of during adolescence' (simulation program) should be the first priority in the development.

  • In the era of convergence, more attention is paid to development of Fintech which attempts for innovation of the financial transaction paradigm through ICT. Proliferation of Fintech to engraft finance-related services on mobile and ICT is found in various fields such as loans, investment and asset management in addition to simple payment or remittance services but awareness of consumers regarding the matter is rather low. Therefore, it is the time to conduct a research on various Fintech businesses. This thesis conducted an empirical research from the viewpoint of consumers to investigate influence on continuous use intention of Fintech users. From the user environment perspective, it was found that influence of innovativeness on satisfaction was not statistically significant. In case of the product characteristics, perceived risk did not have statistical significance on satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the factors of performance - based HR system that Korean ICT firms use and to analyze the effect of performance - based HR system on organizational culture. To do this, we conducted literature surveys and set up research models and hypotheses that performance - based personnel systems will affect organizational culture. We also added the moderating effect of LMX on the relationship between these variables. For the empirical analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted for ICT companies member in Daegu and Kyungbuk area. Multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted to test hypotheses. As a result, performance - based personnel system has a significant effect on organizational culture. In particular, we found that LMX has a moderating effect on hierarchical culture and collective culture. These results will contribute to enhance competitiveness and to create new core competencies of ICT firms.

Exploratory study on the relationship between supply chain performance and ICT capabilities (공급사슬성과와 정보기술역량 간의 관계에 관한 탐색적 분석)

  • Recently, many firms have introduced information and communication technology (ICT) into supply chain. However, existing studies have not yet insisted definite conclusion with respect to ICT impact on supply chain. Thus, this study subdivides supply chain performance which previous researchers have studied comprehensively while suggesting perspective of the use of firm's ICT capabilities. We classify ICT capabilities into four types of group and then analyze the difference between groups regarding each factor of supply chain performance by ANOVA analysis and Tukey method. As a result of analysis, the group in which all ICT capabilities are high shows the highest level of integration and flexibility performance among supply chain performances. On the other hand, the group in which all ICT capabilities are low presents the lowest level of integration and flexibility performance. We also provide more precise and specific information with practitioners by analyzing the difference between groups with regard to detailed measurements on integration and flexibility variables.

  • The Ministry of Education gives increasing weight to ICT-in education to produce creative and positive people in response to the demands of the 21st century's Information Age. The use of ICT in teaching-learning process aims largely to facilitate the creative thinking and diverse learning activities of students to help achieve learning objectives. The purpose of this study was to sort out what's available for teaching- learning activities from among Edunet contents for teacher and to assist teachers to have easier access to them, as ICT-in education gains in importance. And it's found that this attempt would serve to make Edunet more accessible even to teachers who are not acquainted with ICT, and learning effectiveness would be greater by integrating well- organized and well-selected ICT-in education into academic education. Furthermore, this would enable teachers to have better computer skills and teach students with more confidence.

ICT-based Smart Farm Design (ICT 기반의 스마트팜 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose an ICT-based smart farm design. At present, the decrease in rural population is naturally inevitable due to the decrease of the total population. The economic burden on each farm grows with increasing labor costs. As a solution to this, the necessity of spreading smart farms using computing resources is emerging. The proposed system utilizes the ICT technology emerging from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We will use big data analysis to collect a large amount of data and propose a platform for managing collected data and providing efficient services. The proposed platform consists of SOA service layer, middleware layer, resource pool layer and physical resource layer. ICT-based smart farm service can reduce costs and be easy to install and manage because ICT-based smart farm service provides only necessary functions from the user's point of view.

  • Information and communication technologies(ICT) allow and force people to work anywhere, anytime using remote databases and application systems available in real-time twenty four hours a day and seven days a week. With the real time nature of ICT, individual work is becoming more and more fragmented. Instead of working on a similar task repeatedly, individuals are required to respond to e-mails and inquiries through social networks, work on planning documents, work on presentation documents, work on spreadsheets, input necessary data on company databases, generate necessary reports from the database, run teleconference, etc., all maybe in a day's work. Work fragmentation may impact negatively on productivity as the flow is interrupted, but it may increase the productivity by allowing people to handle multiple tasks in a shorter time period. This study explores the types of work fragmentation and their characteristics. An online survey was administered to collect data about work fragmentation and work characteristics including autonomy, complexity, flexibility, usage of ICT, etc. 300 cases were used in the analysis. Analysis of k-mean cluster indicated four different types of work fragmentation: concentrated, temporally distributed, spatially distributed, and fully fragmented.

A Study on the Development of ICT Curriculum for Private Security Workers (민간경비 종사자의 ICT직무교육과정 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study developed the ICT curriculum focusing on apartment security guards and analyzed the actual application results. We developed the educational contents and it designed ICT job courseware for elder education by considering and that designed in consideration of the computer attitudes and physical and cognitive characteristics of the elderly. The educational program was applied to the experimental group and the satisfaction and the educational effect were analyzed through the pre and post test results. As a result of the analysis, the satisfaction level of the education program was higher than the average of 4.00 points. The elderly informal education program was examined by using the qualitative assessment test tool before and after the application of the education program. Internet self-efficacy of experiment group, improvement of internet utilization ability, usage of internet use, personal information willingness, life correction, elimination of conflict among generations, self-confidence, and internet stress increased statistically significantly. These results suggest that the "Private Expense ICT Job Training" program developed in this study can be effective for elderly informatization and can be applied to other elderly education programs and contribute to promotion.

Policy Trends and Utilization of Information Communications Technologies for the Senior Support in Japan (일본의 고령자 지원을 위한 정보통신기술 정책 동향 및 활용)

  • Super aged society, Japan actively uses Information Communication Technology(ICT) as one of solving methods for various social problem. Especially, for Korea where soon will become super aged society, it would be meaningful to examine the current policy trends and utilization of senior support using ICT in Japan. This study explores the policy trends and utilization of senior support using ICT in Japan through literature review, and then proposes some suggestions as follows. Opportunities for practical use of ICT should be widened in the field of senior support, and efforts are needed to build an information linkage network between institutions for senior support because linkage between care sector and medical sector is important for the elderly support. Besides, simplification of paperwork and easing of burden of care providers or workers in the field should be sought by development and dissemination of various robots. Moreover, the spread of technology for emotional support and stability should be actively pursued by using ICT.

Effectiveness Analysis and Development of ICT Electromagnetic Waves Textbooks for Elementary and Secondary Teacher Training Using Action Learning (액션러닝을 활용한 ICT 전파 교육 교원연수 교재개발 및 효과 분석)

  • This paper was described to assess the possibility of field application of the developed textbooks by developing a textbook using action learning to conduct ICT electromagnetic waves training education for elementary and middle school teachers and applying it on a pilot basis. To this end, it was organized to be used in conjunction with classes in several subjects and provided various teaching materials to facilitate teachers' convenience to use the textbook. Also, the textbook was composed of a content structure of 10 sessions. As for the proposed textbook, the overall understanding of ICT electromagnetic waves was improved through pilot application in teacher training, and problem-solving ability, cooperative learning ability, democratic citizenship, and knowledge information processing ability were improved through action learning. It can be said that it contributed to improving the understanding of ICT electromagnetic waves and teachers' competencies.
