The potential security threat is increasing as the supply of ICT products to the defense sector increases with the development of information and communication technology. Attempts to neutralize, such as intelligence gathering and destruction, through attacks on the defense power support system and the intelligence system of the weapons system could pose a fatal threat.Therefore, security measures of supply chain shear system that take into account ICT product production and operation stage to maintenance stage are needed in defense field. In the paper, technical and administrative measures for responding to 12 ICT supply chain security threats at each stage of the defense ICT supply chain life cycle were presented.

Purpose - This research is aimed to investigate the impact of the Information and Communication Technology (hereinafter ICT) development index and ICT investment on Indonesian economic growth. Research design, data and methodology - The data used consist of ICT development index, government expenditure on ICT sector, and economic growth from 33 provinces in Indonesia from 2012 to 2015. Based on the Networked Readiness Index published by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Indonesia was ranked 80^th among 142 countries in 2012 and had climbed 64^th in 2014. This indicates that the businesses in Indonesia have adopted ICTs to increase productivity and expand their activities. Panel data regression analysis is performed to reveal the change of the impact over time in each of the provinces. Result - The ICT development index and government expenditure for ICT have a positive effect on the economic growth of all provinces, although the impact is different in each of the provinces. There is a digital gap between the provinces, especially the large digital gap occurring with DKI Jakarta. The provinces of Eastern Indonesia such as NTT and Papua are still relatively slow in development of ICT. Conclusions - ICT development index and allocation of local government expenditure for ICT have significant effect on economic growth. ICT development index has a bigger role in increasing economic growth.

Globalization has integrated the world through interaction among countries and people with the help of information and telecommunication technology (ICT). The rapid mode of globalization has put a new life in ICT and economic sector. The key focus of this study is to examine the nexus among the globalization, ICT and economic growth. This study uses autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL), vector error correction model (VECM) and econometric method spanning from 1990 to 2015. The empirical result highlights that the globalization stimulates economic growth of a country. In addition, both the internet penetration and the mobile phone usage contribute to the economic growth. Lastly, this article contributes important policy lessons on strengthening the economy by utilizing ICT with the rapid globalization.

The diffusion of smart devices has greatly influenced the market dynamics of the telecommunications industry. The competition paradigm has shifted from individual firm-based competition to ecosystem-based competition. To satisfy the diverse needs of market customers, it has become more important for telecommunications companies to form alliances with complementary partners in the ecosystem. This study empirically investigates the influence of ecosystem-based alliance formations on the financial performance of firms in the Korean telecommunications market. Specifically, the impact of a CPND (Content, Platforms, Networks, and Devices) alliance in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) sector on firms' profitability is examined using a structural equation model. The results indicate that before the diffusion of smart devices, ecosystem-based alliance formations with other firms in the ICT ecosystem were not effective for enhancing profitability. However, after this diffusion, alliance formation between members of the value chain in the ICT ecosystem contributed significantly to firms' financial performance. This implies that recent alliances with firms that are constituents of the ICT ecosystem are an important element of profit generation in the ICT market in Korea.

To prevent the inappropriate treatment of livestock manure and induce the correct circulation of them into farmland, systematic monitoring and management by the treatment and circulation stage of livestock manure are required. The purpose of this study was to apply ubiquitous information communictation technology (u-ICT) to a livestock waste management system for better treatment by utilizing ubiquitous computing technology in the livestock sector. Elements and levels of applicable u-ICT technology for efficient livestock manure management were derived by analyzing previous researches. In addition, a conceptual diagram of an integrated management system was suggested by analyzing the existing liquid fertilization process.

The study is based on the technology-organization-environment (TOE) model which, attempted to determine the factors that are going to influence ICT adoption. The proposed research model evaluates the interplay among technological context (IT infrastructure, system security, and user capacity), organizational context (top management commitment, and innovations strategies), environmental context (quick response to the external agencies, interactive network infrastructure, and competitive pressure) and ICT adoption (productivity growth, organizational change, and competitiveness). Data were collected from 243 senior executives of full member firms of the Bangladesh Garments and Manufacturers Association (BGMEA) of examining the relationships among the constructs in the proposed framework utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM). The analysis of TOE factors revealed that environmental, organizational, and technological factors have a significant impact on the successful implementation of ICT tools. The study also discusses implications for management practitioners.

The standard issue in the information and telecommunication industry is increasingly important with the rapid development of technology. This paper proposes an index model which can measure the degree of standardization in the Korean information and telecommunication field. We first classified ICT sector into 14 sub-sectors. Then for each sub-sector, we considered a set of important determinants to measure the level of standardization, and constructed a linear equation using this set of determinants. Finally we estimated the relative degree of importance of each determinant using the AHP methodology. The proposed model found that overall level of standardization in the Korean ICT industry is relatively low, and ‘IMT-2000 technology’ and ‘computer network technology’ among 14 sub-sectors are highly standardized sub-sectors. The validity of the proposed model was also partially proved using two different methods, holistic and historical approach.

The interest in economics and efficiency of IT investment is growing as the amount of overall governmental IT investment steadily increase. Accordingly, there is a strong need to determine whether the expenditure incurs effectively for IT investment and to accurately analyze the economics of IT investment, In this perspective, this study discusses the prior researches on concepts regarding the analysis of IT investment management framework as proposed from academic and professional perspectives in advanced countries' government sectors. Thereafter, an adoption of IT investment management (ITIM) framework has been considered so as to enhance the performance of ICT initiative projects in the public sector. In the suggested IT investment management framework, we suggest economics and efficiency of public IT investment should be improved by integrating ICT project selection and control as well as evaluation stage into single governance framework.

This research proposes the use of a patent analysis methodology that can suggest promising technology in the ICT sector at the micro-level. This approach identifies core patents from the technology field, groups them as research frontiers (RFs), and develops a visualized network based on the citing relationships to monitor the relationship among RFs. In addition, it calculates a "promising index" based on the growth potential, impact, and marketability of patents to ultimately derive promising RFs. To illustrate the proposed approach, this research presents analysis results for a chosen area, which is the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) technology field. By proposing promising technological fields at the micro-level, the proposed methodology will serve as a useful decision-making support tool in selecting R&D projects, technology planning, and determining technology policy direction.
