The advent of digitalisation has transformed economies into more integrated, but increasingly complex systems. This new trend has brought dynamic changes in the manufacturing sector through advanced ICT infrastructure, smart factories, digitally-controlled logistics, and skilled ICT-labour. The impacts of the digital economy on manufacturing could be best illustrated through "Industry 4.0." With this wave of technological advancement, countries aim to establish an industrial ecosystem where every manufacturing process and function is connected and interacts through digital networks. Industry 4.0 presents opportunities for Emerging Asia, as the region has emerged as a fast-growing manufacturing hub and particularly a production base for ICT goods. However, growing production capacity, increased exports, and increases in FDI in the field of ICT goods manufacturing have so far contributed little to the development and diffusion of ICT. A huge gap exists in the ICT uptake amongst countries and between small and large firms. This paper highlights the level of Industry 4.0 readiness of Emerging Asia and key factors that determine its enhancement.

전통적인 산업과 ICT의 융합은 ICT에서 나타나는 보안 위협 및 취약점과 기존 산업의 특수한 산업 종속적인 문제점이 혼합되어 새로운 보안위협 및 취약점이 나타나고 있다. 특히, 의료ICT융합산업에서는 의료정보시스템을 중심으로 사용자 인증에 대한 다양한 문제가 파생되어, 오남용, 보안취약점에 악용되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 의료 ICT 융합환경에서 안전한 사용자 관리를 위한 사용자 인증시스템을 설계하고 프로토타입을 구현하였다. 구체적으로, 의료정보시스템을 중심으로 개인화 기기를 활용하여 사용자 인증을 수행함으로써 ID 공유로 나타나는 오남용과 보안 취약점을 해결하고, 개별 ID/PW 방식 인증의 불편함을 해소하기 위한 방안을 설계 및 프로타입을 구현하였다.

빠르게 진보하고 있는 과학기술의 영향을 크게 받고 있는 정보통신기술(ICT) 산업에서 환경 변화에 능동적으로 대응하기 위해서는 CEO의 효과적인 리더십 발휘가 매우 중요하다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 ICT 산업 CEO의 변혁적 리더십이 조직구성원의 혁신행동과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향을 실증분석을 통해 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 ICT 산업에 속한 기업체에서 1년 이상 일하고 있는 종업원들을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하여 417부를 받았으며, SPSS와 Amos를 이용한 분석 결과, ICT 기업 CEO의 변혁적 리더십은 구성원의 자기효능감에 강한 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 구성원의 지각된 자기효능감은 자신의 혁신행동과 조직시민행동에 강한 정(+)의 영향을 미침과 더불어 CEO의 변혁적 리더십과 자신의 혁신행동 조직시민행동 간의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 기술혁신의 중심에 있는 ICT 산업에서 구성원의 자기효능감 향상을 통해 혁신행동과 조직시민행동을 불러일으키기 위해서는 변혁적 리더십이 CEO의 핵심역량이 되어야 함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the trouble of recruitment and research and development of ICT SMEs. Recently, many ICT SMEs have emerged for selling products and services using the technology of the 4th industrial revolution. However, SMEs have relatively deficient resources compared to large companies, the difficulty of maintenance or growth of human resources and intangible resources. This research methodology organized the four stages of the analysis process. The first analysis is the association rules for human resource recruitment. The second analysis is the difficulty of hiring jobs and experienced workers by each stage of company growth. The third analysis is a regression analysis of the trouble of R&D activity. The last analysis is an analysis of association rules on the difficulties of management activities by company growth. As the research result, the first analysis has shown a difference in favored human resources by the ICT industry. The second analysis also showed factor differences in job recruitment difficulties for each stage of corporate growth. In the third analysis, the operation of research institutes in ICT SMEs is influenced by industry type, corporate certification, corporate growth stage, self-technology development, joint technology development, technology transfer, and commercialization. As the last analysis, ICT SMEs showed factor differences in difficulties in management activities by stage of corporate growth. This study contributed empirically emphasizing the troubling phenomenon of human resources and R&D necessary for the growth of ICT SMEs. As a theoretical implication, this research contributed to the research-area expansion of management information using big-data technologies. In particular, this research practically suggests the differentiated direction of recruitment and R&D by ICT SMEs based on industry and each stage of company growth through the association rules of big data.

본 논문의 목적은 서비스 산업의 정보통신기술 이용 현황을 살펴보고, 산업별 생산성 분석을 통해 서비스 산업의 질적 성장을 위한 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전체 자본스톡 중 정보통신기술 자본스톡의 비중과 노동자 인당 정보통신기술 투자액을 이용하여 각 산업별 정보통신기술 이용 현황을 알아보고, 성장회계 방식을 이용하여 이들 산업별로 총요소생산성의 시기별 분석과 외환위기동안의 생산성의 변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. 첫째, 서비스산업의 전체 자본스톡에서 정보통신기술 자본스톡이 차지하는 비중이 2000년 이후 줄어들었으나 서비스산업 내 노동자 일인당 정보통신기술 투자액이 지속적으로 증가하였다. 또한 미국 등 선진국과 비교해 보았을 때, 국내 서비스 산업의 정보통신기술 이용이 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 산업별 생산성 분석 결과, 생산성 향상은 산업에 따라 조금씩 다르게 나타났으나. 대부분의 산업들이 외환위기 동안 생산성이 감소하다 외환위기가 지난 후 생산성을 빠르게 회복하고 2003 년 이후부터는 안정한 형태를 보였다. 셋째 정보통신기술을 더 많이 이용하는 산업일수록 생산성 증가가 크고, 외환위기 등 경제 외부적인 변화에서도 더 안정된 모습을 보였다. 이는 '외환위기 이후' 국내 서비스 산업에서 정보통신기술 이용이 산업의 생산성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 해석할 수 있다.

Nowadays every technology is becoming smarter. Consequently, intensive use of ICT in the whole industries and cities enables a sustainable approach to meet enormous productivity, efficiency, transparency and conservation of natural recourses. Likewise, the role of ICT in terms of controlling, monitoring in the energy industry allows integrating potential renewables, bulk energy conservation and reliable optimized operation in the entire system. In this paper outlines challenging issues in renewable energy integration in Mongolia and proposes potential recommendations and conclusions. The author investigated the main technologies used in energy industry mainly smart grid, challenges and policy aspect in Mongolian energy sector by using the primary and secondary approach with case studies and literature based methodologies. Based on the policy aspect and current implementation of smart grid, the paper tries to address the readiness for the main application and future potential ICT driven applications. Furthermore, it concluded that ICT convergence is demanded to overcome the current vulnerabilities and significant momentum to leave behind by using its potential energy recourses and favorable geographical state. Policymakers may find this study useful, as it answers the question of whether ICT investment can ultimately reduce energy consumption and may aid in future planning. Even tough, in order to develop a smart grid and integrating renewables firstly set an appropriate market structure, ICT will key enabler to make energy system more profitable and sustainable. Regarding the result of this study, ICT deployment contribution is a huge demand for future opportunities energy in Mongolia.

The diffusion of smart devices has greatly influenced the market dynamics of the telecommunications industry. The competition paradigm has shifted from individual firm-based competition to ecosystem-based competition. To satisfy the diverse needs of market customers, it has become more important for telecommunications companies to form alliances with complementary partners in the ecosystem. This study empirically investigates the influence of ecosystem-based alliance formations on the financial performance of firms in the Korean telecommunications market. Specifically, the impact of a CPND (Content, Platforms, Networks, and Devices) alliance in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) sector on firms' profitability is examined using a structural equation model. The results indicate that before the diffusion of smart devices, ecosystem-based alliance formations with other firms in the ICT ecosystem were not effective for enhancing profitability. However, after this diffusion, alliance formation between members of the value chain in the ICT ecosystem contributed significantly to firms' financial performance. This implies that recent alliances with firms that are constituents of the ICT ecosystem are an important element of profit generation in the ICT market in Korea.

CRT(Cathode Ray Tube)가 디스플레이 산업에서 지배적 디자인으로 출현한 이후, 현재 평판 디스플레이 산업의 지배적 디자인인 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) 디스플레이는 차세대 디스플레이로 되기 위하여 유망한 디스플레이 기술들과 경쟁 중이다. ICT 제품들에 장착되는 디스플레이는 기술 변화, 혁신적인 특성, 경쟁 역학 등과 같은 ICT 산업의 대표적인 특징들을 나타내며, 다양한 ICT 기기들에 부착되어 산업과 시장을 지배하기 위하여 기술적으로 진화하고 있다. 본 연구는 기술, 조직, 환경 차원에서 기술집약적인 ICT 산업의 지배성에 영향을 미치는 결정요인들을 확인하여 지배적 디자인의 출현을 통합적 관점에서 분석하였다. 이를 위해 선행 연구를 토대로 ICT 산업의 특징을 반영한 지배적 디자인의 개념적 특성과 결정요인의 통합적 프레임워크를 제시하고, 평판 디스플레이 기술경쟁 사례를 본 프레임워크에 적용하였다. 분석 결과, 평판 디스플레이 산업에서는 기술적 특성과 시장 수용을 토대로 유망한 기술이 기술경쟁을 통하여 산업 내 지배적 위치에 오르게 되고, 산업수준을 포함한 다양한 환경적 요인들에 의해 해당 산업과 시장을 점유하며, 지배적 위치를 유지하게 된다. 본 연구결과는 지배적 디자인에 관한 연구에서 본원적 기술간 차이와 기술혁신 속도의 중요성을 제시함으로써 지배적 디자인의 출현에 영향을 미치는 결정요인 중 기술적 요인의 중요성에 대한 이해를 확장할 뿐만 아니라 디스플레이 산업을 비롯한 ICT 산업 내 기업들의 경쟁 전략과 전략적인 지침을 수립할 수 있는 현실적인 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

독일의 Industry4.0에서 출발한 ICT 융합 스마트공장은 4차 산업혁명의 견인차가 되어왔고 주요 국가의 제조업 혁신의 중심에 서 있다. 또한 국가 별 산업 특성에 맞는 방식으로 발전해 나가고 있다. 한국의 경우 경쟁국 대비 뒤늦은 출발로 인해 정부는 빠른 시간 내에 중소 중견업체 중심으로 스마트공장 확산을 위해 정책 수립 및 각종 지원을 하고 있다. 스마트공장의 국제 경쟁력 확보를 위해서는 중소 중견업체에 대한 획일적인 지원보다는 유사 제조업종별 카테고리화 및 디지털 기반의 생산정보 공유가 필요하다. 또한 대기업도 개별적인 스마트공장 확충보다는 중소 중견기업과 함께 동종 산업 간 클라우드 기반의 생산 예측 시스템 구축 및 공유를 통한 스마트공장 협력기반 마련에 동참하여야 제조 산업의 동반 발전을 이룰 수 있다.

In several industries, including the agriculture industry, information and communication technology (ICT) expenditure has been gradually increasing. This study explores the ICT investment of Korean agricultural corporations, and examines the effect of ICT investment on their profitability using an IT portfolio framework. As the organizational capabilities and environment in which ICT is used is critical in examining its impact, the IT-savvy level is used as a moderator. An increase in ICT investment size results in a significantly positive effect on profitability in organizations with higher IT-savvy levels, whereas there is no effect in organizations with lower IT-savvy levels. This study shows the necessity of understanding the structure of ICT investments in the agriculture industry, and suggests the importance of organizational capabilities and environment in making best use of ICT.
