This paper deals with the dynamic behaviour of cold-formed steel hollow frames with different connection stiffnesses. An analytical model of a semi-rigid frame was developed to study the influence of connection stiffnesses on the fundamental frequency and dynamic response of the frames. The flexibilities of the connections are modeled by rotational springs. Neglect of semi-rigidity leads to an artificial stiffening of frames resulting in shorter fundamental period, which in turn results in a significant error in the evaluation of dynamic loads. In the seismic design of structures, of all the principal modes, the fundamental mode of translational vibration is the most critical. Hence, experiments were conducted to study the influence of the connection stiffnesses on the fundamental mode of translational vibration of the steel hollow frames. From the experimental study it was found that the fundamental frequency of the frames lie in the semi-rigid region. From the theoretical investigation it was found that the flexibly connected frames subjected to lateral loads exhibit larger deflection as compared to rigidly connected frames.
Previous experimental studies have effectively demonstrated the remarkable efficiency of the stiffened channel link in connecting circular columns and I-shaped beams. This research aims to present design criteria and assess the seismic properties of this specific connection type through numerical modeling. Various parameters, including stiffener type and geometric properties of the stiffened channel element, were duly taken into account. The findings from over 136 nonlinear finite element analyses (FEAs) reveal that the recommended detailing scheme reliably satisfies all the regulations specified for rigid beam-to-column connections in special moment frames.
A hybrid precast concrete beam system with a simple rigid connection was proposed to compensate the limitations and shortcomings of the conventional bolt connection associated with the H-beams embedded into concrete beams. Three beam specimens with fixed both ends were tested under one-point top cyclic loading to explore the effectiveness of the developed hybrid beam system in transferring externally applied flexure to a column. The main parameter considered was the length ($L_s$) of H-beam, which was selected to be $0.25L_I$, $0.5L_I$, and $1.0L_I$, where $L_I$ is the distance from the support to the point of inflection. All beam specimens showed a better displacement ductility ratio than the reinforced concrete beams with the same longitudinal reinforcement index, indicating that the cyclic load-deflection curve and ductility were insignificantly affected by $L_s$. The continuous strain distribution along the beam length and the prediction of the ultimate load based on the collapse mechanism ascertained the structural adequacy of the developed rigid connection.
The vertical reinforcement connection between the precast reinforced concrete shear wall and the cast-in-place reinforced concrete member is vital to the performance of shear walls under seismic loading. This paper investigated the structural behavior of three precast reinforced concrete shear walls, with different levels of connection (i.e., full connection, partial connection, and no connection), subjected to quasi-static lateral loading. The specimens were subjected to a constant vertical load, resulting in an axial load ratio of 0.4. The crack pattern, failure modes, load-displacement relationships, ductility, and energy dissipation characteristics are presented and discussed. The resultant seismic performances of the three tested specimens were compared in terms of skeleton curve, load-bearing capacity, stiffness, ductility, energy dissipation capacity, and viscous damping. The seismic performance of the partially connected shear wall was found to be comparable to that of the fully connected shear wall, exhibiting 1.7% and 3.5% higher yield and peak load capacities, 9.2% higher deformability, and similar variation in stiffness, energy dissipation capacity and viscous damping at increasing load levels. In comparison, the seismic performance of the non-connected shear wall was inferior, exhibiting 12.8% and 16.4% lower loads at the yield and peak load stages, 3.6% lower deformability, and significantly lower energy dissipation capacity at lower displacement and lower viscous damping.
According to Field, mathematical objects do not exist but they might have existed. In this paper I examine how persuasive this 'contingent' nominalism could be. For this I give a detailed analysis of the recent debate on the contingency of mathematical objects. I argue that the putative connection between contingency and explanation could still be sustained, but an independent argument is needed in order to support a general principle underlying the connection. I show that the attacks based on the anti-insularity principles already reflect their own positions on the modal status of the existence of mathematical objects.
For the bolster type bogie, bolster anchor body connections are proviede to transmit the longitudinal loads for traction or braking between the carbody and the truck. The bolster anchor body connection is generally composed of anchor rod bracket, anchor rod and its fastening devices. The bolster anchor body connection shall be basically capable of withstanding a longitudinal load resulting from excessive braking case or impact. Additionally the north America standard requires that the anchor rod bracket shall be frangible, I.e. the anchor rod bracket shall fail and fall away under load before the carbody structure is damaged since to protect the cabody structure in the event of unexpected accident. This paper describes the shear connection design using the optimized mechanical fasteners in the bolster anchor body connection to satisfy these Northe America requirements.
The purpose of this paper is to introduce an L-metrical non-linear connection $N_j^{*i}$ and investigate a conformal change in the Finsler space with $({\alpha},\;{\beta})-metric$. The (v)h-torsion and (v)hvtorsion in the Finsler space with L-metrical connection $F{\Gamma}^*$ are obtained. The conformal invariant connection and conformal invariant curvature are found in the above Finsler space.
I studied about existent load distribution algorithms and the WLC(Weighted Least Connection) algerian that is using much at present to distribute the connection request of users to real servers efficiently in web cluster system. The efficiency of web cluster system is fallen by load imbalance between servers, because there is problem In inaccurate load status measuring of servers and measuring timing at these load distribution algorithms. In this paper, I suggest an algorithm that distributes load base on various load state of servers by real time using broadcasting RPC(Remote Procedure Call) when a user requests connection, and implement a prototype and experiment its performance. The experiment result shows that load imbalance phenomenon between reai sowers was improved greatly than existing method, and performance of web cluster system was improved by efficiency that response time is shortened.

In this paper, we test the electrical resistance of flat wire in the PV module. normally solar cell has two kind of flat wire(inter connection ribbon and bus bar ribbon). we found the phenomenon that has a unbalance with resistance when we make a wiling between of string. So, we measurement the resistance of flat wire each other. and analysis of missmatch with resistance between flat wires on PV module. next to survey of IR picture on missmatch flat wire samples for analyze of missmatch with current in the wire. and we perform IR test with solar cell that has a connection with flat wire for test the effect of missmatch resistance on solar cell. Finally we perform the Dark I-V test for survey of effect by the unbalance of resistance. By the result of Dark I-V test, the series resistance of existing connection sample is large more then innovated connection sample.
