  • This study examined changes of elementary school students' knowledge and attitudes toward AIDS after AIDS health educational programs were conducted. The experiment was executed from November the 28th, 2001 to February the 6th, 2002. Study examinees were 156 fifth year students of 2 elementary schools located at S City. A preliminary inspection was implemented. The post-examination was conducted by a questionnaire survey 2 weeks and 9 weeks after the program was finished. The measurement instrument was the questionnaire developed by Yun, Hyun Sik(1997) and modified by this researcher. Collected data were analyzed with SPSS program package, $x^2$-test and t-test, Repeated Measure ANOVA. Findings of study are as follows; 1. Hypothesis 1 ; the hypothesis 1 is "The points of AIDS knowledge are different at each moment, before conducting the educational program, 2 weeks after conducting the educational program, and 9 weeks after conducting the educational program". After the above hypothesis was examined, interactive actions were shown among different periods in both groups (F=267.241, p=.000), so that this hypothesis 1 was approved. 2. Hypothesis 2 ; the hypothesis 2 is "The points of attitudes toward AIDS are different at each moment, before conducting the educational program, 2 weeks after conducting the educational program, and 9 weeks after conducting the educational program". It was closely examined, and the findings are that significant differences between two groups were found, whereas any interactions were not shown between two groups(F=3.753, p=.055), after controlling the attitude scores that showed differences before the education by covariable, and examining the results. so that this hypothesis 2 was rejected. The above study tells that the AIDS health education for elementary school students made their knowledge and attitudes change significantly, but the education was not effective for changing students' attitudes. Elementary school students need more systematic and continual AIDS health education.

  • Dance movement program. Psychological wellbeing, Middle aged women, Wellbeing with depression tendency, 율동적 동작 프로그램, 우울성향 중년여성 %600an This study was designed to confirm the effects of the Dance Movement Program on psychological health in middle-age women with depression tendency. 67 women with mile to moderate depression scoring between 16-25 were selected among 235 responded to CES-D (Radloff, 1977, Cho and Kim, 1993). The 46 volunteered to participate in the study were assigned the control. 7 attritions occurred during the course of the experiment leaving thirty-nine subject : nineteen experimental and twenty control, for the final analysis. Research subjects revealed to be homogenous demographically and by health-related variables. The 50-minute Dance Movement Program was performed by the experimental group 3 times a week for eight weeks, from October 6 to November 29, 1997. Depression, life satisfaction, self efficacy were measured before and after the course of Dance Movement Program. Plasma serotonin was measured to identify its relationship with depression, Homogeneity tests revealed satisfactory level on relevant research variables. Data were analyzed by $x^2$-test, paired and unpaired t-tests. The results are as follows : 1) The hypothesis that depresson score of experimental group will decreased than control group was supported by t-test(t=2.20, P=.0021) 2) The hypothesis that life satisfaction score of experimental group will increased than control group was supported by t-test(t=1.42, P=.0049). 3) The hypothesis that self-efficacy score of experimental group will increased than control group was not supported by t-test(t=6.20, P=.0616). 4) The hypothesis that level of plasma serotonin will increased than control group was not supported by t-test(t=1.88, P=.0524) Thus, the effects of the Dance Movement Program for the improvement of psychological health gram for the improvement of psychological health for the middle-aged women with depression tendency are scientifically confirmed by this study.

  • The purpose of the study was to identify the effect of structured patients education had on prevention of osteoporosis, with fracture and the resulting of life style changes in patients. In this study, a non equivalent control group pre and a post test design was employed. Data were collected through an interview process using questionnaires from April to December of 1999. The subjects, consisting of 59 patients with fractures and over 40 years of age, were diagnosed in K University Hospital. This study tested the patients knowledge at three times. The times were before the program 2 weeks into the program, and 6 months after education program. Life style change related to prevention of osteoporosis was shown twice (before and 6 months after the education program) in the experimental group, and control group went without it. The instruments used for this study were developed by literature review according to a reliability test. Data was analyzed using X2 test and t test to determine similarities between the experimental and control groups. The hypothesis was tested using repeated measures of ANOVA, t-test and Pearson correlation coefficients. The results of the study were summarized as follows: 1. The first hypothesis was accepted: a higher level of knowledge about osteoporosis was found in experimental groups who received education than to the control group during the period (F=19.82, p=.0001). 2. The second hypothesis was accepted: a higher level of life style changes about osteoporosis on experimental group were recorded than as compared to control group (t=3.55, p=.001). 3. The third hypothesis was accepted: the higher the knowledge about osteoporosis the higher the level of performance of life style changes about prevention of osteoporosis (r=.600, p=.0001). In conclusion, structured patient education in patient with fractures improved the level of knowledge about osteoporosis and more likely undergo of life style changes 6 months after the education program. Also reeducation would be needed 6 months after program ends. That is structured patient education in pamphlet form would be very effective in nursing intervention that may to result in life style changes. Therefore further research is needed to reinforce the education material and to generalize the education effect.

  • This paper tries to define and analyse the subjective responses on noise environment according to operators continuous service in the field. The hypothesis of this paper is that the longer they serve in the same field, the more they feel seriously on noise effects. A predesigned enquete was handed out to 500 operators, and performed Friedman Test in order to check the hypothesis Concludingly, this paper accepts the hypothesis by year of continuous service-questionaire number analysis.

  • We study the influence of observations on testing a linear hypothesis using single and multiple case-deletions. The change in the F-test statistic due to case-deletions is shown to be completely determined by two externally Studentized residuals. These residuals we used for investigating the outlyingness when there are linear constraints or not. An illustrative example is given. It shows the usefulness of case-deletions.

  • This paper considers the problem of testing a one-sided hypothesis under the generalized sampling plan which is defined by a sequence of independent Bernoulli trials. A certain lexicographic order is defined for the boundary points of the sampling plan. It is shown that the family of probability mass function defined on the boundary points has monotone likelihood ratio, and that the test function is uniformly most powerful.

  • The method for detecting the best treatment is considered by means of hypothesis testing in the exponential case. The likelihood ratio test for a given hypothesis is derived to control the error probability, and the minimum powers in the interested regions are calculated to design the sampling plan.

  • In this paper we introduced a new score generating function for the rank dispersion function in a general linear model. Based on the new score function, we derived the null asymptotic theory of the rank-based hypothesis testing in a linear model. In essence we showed that several rank test statistics, which are primarily focused on our new score generating function and new dispersion function, are mainly distribution free and asymptotically converges to a chi-square distribution.

  • Direct-Sequence code-division multiple access(DS/CDMA) is considered by many to be a promising technology for future wireless communication networks. In this paper, we report new analysis for probability of BPSK CDMA hypothesis test in jointly distributed AWGN Rayleigh-fading received signal. In previous method, analysis is performed on AWGN or Rayleigh-faded signal in separately. In this paper, we propose model for hypothesis test system of the AWGN Rayleigh-faded received signal.
