The objective of the study is to investigate the distribution patterns of airborne bacteria and fungi in the feedstuff manufacture factory. The mean levels of airborne bacteria and fungi in the feedstuff manufacture factory were $113({\pm}18)cfu/m^3$ and $89({\pm}5)cfu/m^3$ for pelleting process and $198({\pm}5)cfu/m^3$ and $124({\pm}12)cfu/m^3$ for powdering process, respectively. The percentage of respirable and total concentration of airborne bacteria and fungi in the feedstuff manufacture factory ranged from 60% to 90% and were higher in pelleting process than powdering process. The ratio of indoor and outdoor airborne microorganism exceeded 1.0 regardless of types of feedstuff manufacture process. Based on the result of the study, there would be an association between environmental factors such as relative humidity and carbon dioxide and airborne microorganism's bioactivity.
A quantitative fit test, condensation nuclei counting (Portacount 8025, TSI), was performed concurrently with a banana oil (isoamyl acetate: IAA) qualitative fit test (MSA) to evaluate reliability on IAA QLFT and correlation between two methods. One brands of quarter mask (3M model 7500 medium) was prepared for QLFT with HEPA filter and gas & vapor removing media, i.e., combination cartridge. 110 subjects (65 male, 45 female) were fit tested QNFT and QLFT each three times. For a wearer combination having a FF<10, as determined by CNC QNFT, the point es timate (${\beta}$-error) of the probability of that combination not being rejected by the banana oil QLFT was found to be 0.0 with 95% confidence that this statistic is not expected to exceed 0.15. For a wearer combination having a FF<100, as determined by CNC QNFT, the point estimate of the probability of that combination not being rejected by the banana oil QLFT was found to be 0.07 with 95% confidence that this statistic is not expected to exceed 0.13. The uncertainty associated with each estimate, however, is large due to the small number of study subjects with inadequately fitting respirators.
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of humor sense on job satisfaction and turnover intention in clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 277 dental hygienists in Chungnam from May to June, 2014. The instrument for humor sense was adapted from Thorson and Powell instrument by Lee and 20 questions. Each question included humor making and preference for humor and scored by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha in the study was 0.869. Job satisfaction was adapted from Smith Job Description Index and included task requirement, collaborate support, manager support, promotion, and wages and score by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha in the study was 0.827. Turnover intention was developed by Lee and 5 questions was score by Likert 5 scale. Crobach's alpha was 0.712 in the study. Results: The average of humor sense was 3.33, average of job satisfaction was 3.20, and average of turnover intention was 3.05. The sense of humor had a positive effect on turnover intention. Conclusions: This result will provide the high productivity and high quality of life in clinical dental hygienists. Humor sense is the important factor that support the job satisfaction and decrease the turnover intention.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to measure the fear of dental care and analyze the related factors between reliability for members in dental office and fear of dental care, dental office. Among the nutrients of biological importance, minerals are of particular interest in human nutrition because the range of adequate intake is so narrow. As the results of a series of interaction experiments between dietary fiber sources and minerals, there are many inconsistencies in the experimental data regarding the effect of dietary fibers on mineral bioavailability. the mechanism by which dietary fiber might influence mineral absorption is related to its physicochemical properties. These properties involve the ability of dietary fiber to (1) act as a weak cation exchanger, (2) decrease transit time, (3) dilute mineral concentration by increasing fecal bulk and (4) resist digestion in the large bowel. Regardless of the large number of human and animal studies available, a carful review of these publications dose not provide the answer as to whether the adverse effect of dietary fibers on mineral absorption is the fiber itself or some associated dietary factors( e.g. phytate, oxalate, ascorbate, citrate and protein, mineral-mineral interaction, etc) that are responsible for this action. As a result of the complexity of interaction that may take place between minerals. dietary fiber, and other component of food ; it becomes very difficult to blame fiber alone as a negative factor of mineral nutrition. We absolutely need more research with advanced tools rather than metabolic balance study.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the job satisfaction, turnover intention and organization commitment level of hotel employees using Herzberg's motivation hygiene theory. Objectives: We focused on investigating the effects between symptoms of depression and emotional labor among health professionals. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. The participants were 365 health professionals. The survey was composed of questionnaires related to general characteristics and work-related characteristics. Korean emotional labor scale-24(K-ELS@24) and Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-9) data was collected from July 1, 2015 to August 31, 2015. Results: The prevalence for symptoms of depression among the survey participants was 79.2%. Organizational support(${\beta}=.387$, P<0.05), emotional disharmony(${\beta}=.238$, P<0.05), customer conflict(${\beta}=.125$, P<0.05) and emotional effort(${\beta}=.122$, P<0.05) showed a significant association with symptoms of depression. Conclusions: These results suggest that emotional disharmony, organizational support and organizational surveillance are related to symptoms of depression. Managing organizational support on the emotional labor scale is the most important factor in controlling symptoms of depression.
This study was to identify oral health status, O'Leary index and OIDP for the preventive oral prophylaxis among adults who visited dental hospitals or clinics from 30th September in 2011 to 31th May in 2012. The results are as follows. In DMFT, female(8.79) was higher than male(7.65)(p<.05). Housewife(9.70) and agriculture fishery industry was higher than others(p<.01). In O'Leary index, male(47.41), over 50 years old and 200~300 million won were higher than others. but these results wasn't significantly different. The majority answer about discomfort feeling in OIDP was during meal(66.7), and period of discomfort was 1~2 time/month(29.6). The discomfort feeling in OIDP effected on meal(40.8)and teeth brushing(50.0). The difficulty in daily life were toothache(21.0), cold feeling(20.8), and crowding(19.3). In conclusion, the negative factor of oral health status didn't effect daily life. These findings are require of development of oral health management program which included the prevention of toothache and cold feeling.
