Carbon black have not been used as pigment material in cosmetic because of very low density and dispersity, but carbon black have applicable character as black pigment because of non-toxic, stable physico-chemical property, and black colority. In this study, mesoporous silica samples were synthesized by sol-gel reaction using surfactants-template method; TEOS (tetraethoxysilane) - a) PEO/lecithin, b) PEO/polyethylene glycol, c) lecithin/polyethylene glycol in ethanol/water solution. Synthesized organic-inorganic hybrid - silica were heat-treated in N2 condition at 500$^{\circ}C$. Mesoporous silica with black carbon in pore have the effective density and show the good dispersity in both hydrophilic and hydrophobic solvent. Properties of the samples were measured; specific surface area (750㎡/g) and pore size (4-6nm) using BET, pore structure (cylindrical type) using XRD, morphology (spherical powder with 0.1-0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$ partical size) of the samples using SEM. Carbon-silica black color applied to mascara, it shows a dark black colority and good dispersity as compared with the general black color titania pigment. Moreover, it is possible to control the density of black color pigment because it is possible to control pore volume and particle size of mesoporous silica properly. It show the good volume effects in mascara. That is why possible to apply all kinds of cosmetic products.

In this study, we would like to study the stabilization of the high content of ceramide formulation by containing cyclodextrin. Ceramide, which constitutes the intercellular lipid, a human skin barrier, is a very important ingredient in moisturizing maintenance by protecting moisture in the skin and strengthening the skin barrier. However, since ceramide is poorly soluble, even if it is included in the cosmetic formulation, it has a problem that it is slowly gelled or crystallized and deposited over time, making it difficult to containing a high amount of ceramide. Cyclodextrin is a cyclic oligosaccharide connected with glucose molecules and has a cylindrical structure with hydrophilic outer surface and hydrophobic inner surface, which is known to improve the physicochemical properties of drugs such as improving solubility and absorption of poorly soluble drugs. We demonstrated the stability of the formulation containing high amount of ceramide by measuring hardness and observing emulsion drops with polarized microscope. This study also demonstrated that the high-content ceramide formulation containing cyclodextrin has the effect of preventing gelation or crystallization of ceramide, thus having excellent environmental conditions stability and skin moisturization.
Productivity of biosurfactant (rhamnolipid) by Pseudomonas aeuginosa F722 was investigated in the several culture conditions and culture composition. Biosurfactant production by P. aeuginosa F722 was amounted to 0.78 g/l as the result of the nitrogen sources and carbon sources without investing of optimum conditions. As for that one was investigated, biosurfactant production by P. aeruginosa F722 was amounted to 1.66 g/l. Biosurfactant production increased twofold because the composition of a modified C-medium was investigated efficiently. $NE_4$Cl or $NaNO_2$ inorganic nitrogens and yeast extract or trypton organic nitrogens were effective, but others inorganic nitrogens and organic nitrogens tested were not efficient far biosurfactant production by P. aeruginosa F722. The optimum concentration of $NH_4$Cl; inorganic nitrogen and yeast extract; organic nitrogen were 0.05% and 0.1%, respectively. In various carbon sources, others with the exception of hydrophobic property substrate (n-alkane) and hydrophilic property substrate (glucose, glycol) were not found to be effective fur biosurfactant production, and 3.0% was better in yield than other concentration of glucose. This yielded C-to-N ratios between 17 and 20. In our experiment, the highest biosurfactant production by P. aeruginosa F722 were observed in 5 days cultivation, containing glucose 3.0%, $NH_4$Cl 0.05%, and yeast extract 0.1% and C-to-N ratio was 20. Optimal pH and temperature for biosurfactant production were 7.0 and $35^{\circ}C$, respectively. Under the optimal culture conditions with glucose, biosurfactant production was amounted to 1.66 g/l. Velocity of biosurfactant production and strain growth increased after nitrogen depletion. The average surface tension of 30 mN/m after the 3 days of incubation under optimal culture condition was measured by ring tensionmeter.

Zeolite 4A-impregnated complex molecular sieve was prepared by hydrothermal reaction after aluminosilicate gel was penetrated into the pore of activated carbon granule. The crystals of zeolite 4A mainly were formed in the macropore of activated carbon, and their average diameter is $0.8{\mu}m$. The pore volume of activated carbon granule is $0.67m{\ell}/g$, and the pore volume of the sample including 21.6wt% of zeolite 4A crystal is $0.41m{\ell}/g$ decreasing the pore volume by 40% due to the crystallization of zeolite 4A crystals on the internal surface of activated carbon. The calcium ion exchange capacity of zeolite 4A-impregnated sample is 320mg $CaCO_3/g$ zeolite, and this value is almost the same as that of zeolite 4A powder. The crystal of zeolite 4A was not separated from the support of activated carbon granule in the course of ultrasonic dispersion. The adsorption isotherm of water on zeolite 4A-impregnated sample shows the intermediate shape between types, I and III. In addition, zeolite 4A-impregnated sample shows the hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties simultaneously.
Filtration characteristics according to membrane materials were studied In the ultrafiltration of anaerobic digestion broth as a post treatment method. A series of resistances for different membranes were quantitatively assessed on the basis of the resistance-in-series model. Flux behavior observed with the digestion broth was irrelevant to initial water permeabilities of each membrane. The fluoro polymer membrane showed the most significant improvement of flux with increase of cross-flow velocity, which suggests that the cake layer formed on this membrane is more weakly attached to the membrane surface than those on the other membranes. Flux reduction during longtime running was attrib-used to the polarization layer resistance ($R_p$) as well as the fouling layer resistance($R_f$). Continuous increase of $R_p$ may reflect the variation in the characteristics of cake layers, which could result from size, shape, and structure changes due to lysis and growth of biomass. Hydrophilic cellulosic membrane had a much lower fouling tendency than hydrophobic polysulfone membrane. The depressurization method induced a small increase in flux of $5-10L/m^2/h$. During washing and cleaning, filtrability of each membrane was rapidly recovered within 15 minutes until a stationary value was reached.

This study examined the synthesis of large area graphene and the change of its characteristics depending on the ratio of CH4/H2 by using the thermal CVD methods and performed the experiments to control the electron-hole conduction and Dirac-point of graphene by using chemical doping methods. Firstly, with regard to the characteristics of the large area graphene depending on the ratio of CH4/H2, hydrophobic characteristics of the graphene changed to hydrophilic characteristics as the ratio of CH4/H2 reduces. The angle of contact also increased to 78$^{\circ}$ from 58$^{\circ}$. According to the results of Raman spectroscopy showing the degree of defect, the ratio of I(D)/I(G) increases to 0.42% from 0.25% and the surface resistance also increased to 950 ${\Omega}$ from 750 ${\Omega}$/sq. As for the graphene synthesis at the high temperature of 1,000$^{\circ}$ by using CH4/H2 in a Cu-Foil, the possibility of graphene formation was determined as a function of the ratio of H2 included in the fixed quantity of CH4 as per specifications of every equipment. It was observed that the excessive amount of H2 prevented graphene from forming, as extra H-atoms and molecules activated the reaction to C-bond of graphene. Secondly, in the experiment for the electron-hole conduction and the Dirac-point of graphene using the chemical doping method, the shift of Dirac-point and the change in the electron-hole conduction were observed for both the N-type (PEI) and the P-type (Diazonium) dopings. The ID-VG results show that, for the N-type (PEI) doped graphene, Dirac-point shifted to the left (-voltage direction) by 90V at an hour and by 130 V at 2 hours respectively, compared to the pristine graphene. Carrier mobility was also reduced by 1,600 cm2/Vs (1 hour) and 1,100 cm2/Vs (2 hours), compared to the maximum hole mobility of the pristine graphene.

The raw water DOC contained 39.3% of hydrophilics, 42.9% of hydriophobic, and 17.8% of transphilic. The hydrophobic fraction in this raw water was mostly fulvic acid. Fulvic acid comprised of 62% and the rest was humic acid(38%). There was more carboxylic acid functional group(64%) than phenolic group(36%). HPI-N and HPI-C comprised of 17% and 22% in the hydrophilic portion, respectively. The fouling mechanisms on the membrane surface and into its porous structure were analyzed in terms of several kinetic models. In order to analyze the fouling kinetics, the various kinetic models described in this paper were used to fit the experimental results. The kinetic models and kinetic constants obtained for each operation condition. The permeate flux was rapidly declined by simultaneous pore blocking and cake formation. Also, the permeate flux declined with decreasing internal pore size resulted from organic deposition into the membrane pore. The results of the membrane fouling test using UF membrane according to NOM fractions. HPI-N caused more fouling than HPI-C. Humic acid caused more fouling than fulvic acid probably due to higher adsorption capacity. Since humic acid has higher adsorption capacity than fulvic acid, it would be more adsorbed onto the membrane pores.

Direct bonded SOI wafer pairs with $Si ll SiO_2/Si_3N_4 ll Si$ the heterogeneous insulating layers of SiO$_2$-Si$_3$N$_4$are able to apply to the micropumps and MEMS applications. Direct bonding should be executed at low temperature to avoid the warpage of the wafer pairs and inter-diffusion of materials at the interface. 10 cm diameter 2000 ${\AA}-SiO_2/Si(100}$ and 560 $\AA$- ${\AA}-Si_3N_4/Si(100}$ wafers were prepared, and wet cleaned to activate the surface as hydrophilic and hydrophobic states, respectively. Cleaned wafers were pre- mated with facing the mirror planes by a specially designed aligner in class-100 clean room immediately. We employed a heat treatment equipment so called fast linear annealing(FLA) with a halogen lamp to enhance the bonding of pre mated wafers We kept the scan velocity of 0.08 mm/sec, which implied bonding process time of 125 sec/wafer pairs, by varying the heat input at the range of 320~550 W. We measured the bonding area by using the infrared camera and the bonding strength by the razor blade clack opening method, respective1y. It was confirmed that the bonding area was between 80% and to 95% as FLA heat input increased. The bonding strength became the equal of $1000^{\circ}C$ heat treated $Si ll SiO_2/Si_3N_4 ll Si$ pair by an electric furnace. Bonding strength increased to 2500 mJ/$\textrm{m}^2$as heat input increased, which is identical value of annealing at $1000^{\circ}C$-2 hr with an electric furnace. Our results implies that we obtained the enough bonding strength using the FLA, in less process time of 125 seconds and at lowed annealing temperature of $400^{\circ}C$, comparing with the conventional electric furnace annealing.
This study was accomplished using attached $A^2/O$ process that contains nonsurface-modified and surface-modified polyethylene media inside the Anaerobic/Anoxic, Oxic tank, respectively. We could make the hydrophobic polyethylene media have hydrophilic characteristics by radiating ion beam on the surface of the media. The objectives of this study is to investigate the removal efficiencies of the organics and nitrogen when the step feed ratio of raw wastewater into anaerobic and anoxic tank is changed. In this case, we assumed that the denitrification rate can be improved because the nitrifiers in anoxic tank can perform denitrification using RBDCOD instead of artificial carbon sources (for example, methanol, etc.). The wastewater injection rate into anaerobic/anoxic tank was set up by the ratio of 10 : 0, 9 : 1, 8 : 2, 6 : 4, and the results of BOD removal efficiency showed similar trends with $93.3\%,\;92.6\%,\;92.4\%\;and\;91.6\%$, respectively. But the BOD removal efficiency (utilization of the organics) in the anoxic tank was in the order of 9 : 1 $(84.8\%)$, 10 : 0 $(77.0\%)$, 8 : 2 $(75.3\%)$, and 6 : 4 $(61.1\%)$. The T-N removal efficiency was most high when the ratio is 9 : 1 $(67.4\%)$, and other conditions, 10 : 0, 8 : 2, 6 : 4, showed $61.3(\%),\;60.7\%,\;55.5\%$, respectively; the ratio 6 : 4 was found to be lowest T-N removal efficiency, lower than the ratio 9 : 1 by $12\%$. Though the nitrification rate of the ratio 10 : 0, 9 : 1, and 8 : 2 showed similar levels, the ratio 6 : 4 showed considerable inhibition of nitrification, ammonia was the great portion of the effluent T-N. The advantages of this process is that this process is cost-saving, and non-toxic methods than injecting the artificial carbon source.
Despite the size layer is an important part for conserving the artworks in the configuration of oil painting, the conservation scientific approaches of that have not been made yet. Therefore, this study produced standard samples on the basis of the analysis results of oil painting works, and carried out the evaluation of functions of the size layer materials. As a result of literature material, traditionally, animal glue was used for the size layer, whereas synthetic resin have been used in combination with animal glue since the modern age, in particular, it was identified that Polyvinyl Acetate(PVAc) was in general use. As a result of analysis of oil painting works, size layer was detected on the support and it was identified as animal glue. As a result of analysis based on Funaoka canvas for ground, it showed that the lead oxide and the titanium dioxide were the main constituents. On the basis of these results, standard samples were produced. As a result of evaluation on the functions of the size layer materials, in the case of the animal glue, stable result was observed in the shrinkag expansion rate, whereas slight weakness was observed in moisture proofing, color, and tensile strength, and dense cracks were found on surface. As for PVAc(A), moisture proofing, color, and the tensile strength exhibited stable results. Higher shrinkage rate was observed and the cracks with wide gaps were found on surface. As for PVAc(B), tensile strength, shrinkage expansion rate, and surface observation showed stable results, whereas moisture proofing property showed poor results. Different aspects were observed in each experiment, and this phenomena were considered to be due to the density and the adhesion properties between the hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules in the size layer materials. The results are expected to be used as materials for the oil painting work conservation henceforth.
