사판식 유압 피스톤모터의 성능특성 분석 (Analysis of Performance Characteristics of Swash-Plate-Type Hydraulic Piston Motor)

  • 유압피스톤모터는 정압베어링부분의 마찰손실과 용적손실, 기구적 운동부분의 마찰손실, 오일의 관로저항에 의한 압력저하, 압축성에 의한 체적손실 그리고 하우징 오일 처닝(churning) 손실 등이 있다. 이러한 손실 중에서 일정한 틈새의 유막(oil film, $8{\sim}15{\mu}m$)으로 고속 회전하는 피스톤 슈(piston shoe)와 슈 플레이트(shoe plate) 사이 정압베어링 부분의 마찰 및 용적손실이 유압모터의 전체효율을 좌우 한다. 본 연구에서는 최고압력 35MPa, 최고회전수 2500rpm, 배재용적 320cc/rev급 2속(2-speed) 초대형 굴삭기의 주행모터용 유압피스톤모터를 대상으로 정압베어링비가 유압모터의 전 효율에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 분석하였다.

  • In order to determine the appropriate volume of the a pressure compensator of deep seabed mining robots, this paper reports on an experimental test for oil volume change in an oil-filled box. At the design stage of underwater robots, it is crucial to determine the capacity of the hydraulic compensator which is replenished as much as the contracted oil volume of the robots. A pilot mining robot, MienRo was designed to work under 6,000 m in the deep sea. The hydraulic actuating oil and pressure compensating oil of MineRo may be exposed at a hydrostatic pressure environment of 600 bar. Although the oil can be assumed to be incompressible, its volume is actually changed under high pressure conditions due to air contained in the oil and oil contraction. To determine the capacity of the pressure compensator, the oil contraction rate should be verified through an experimental test using a hyperbaric chamber.

  • The adaptive skill of the human operator is now being simulated and reproduced by computer that have become more powerful and less expensive. This paper is concerned with an investigation of the effects of dynamic load of hydraulic oil on pressures with three different circuit(meter-in, meter-out and bleed-off). The experimental results showed that pressures increase with an increase in dynamic load in bleed-off circuit, but there is no variation of pressure in meter-in and meter-out circuits.

  • In this paper, the hydraulic oil pressure distributions are measured in the clearance gap between a stationary piston and moving cylinder apparatus. The results showed that the hydrodynamic pressure distributions are highly affected by the speed of cylinder and further experimental and analytical studies are required to obtain more accurate results. Therefore present experimental method can be used to enhance the performance of various hydraulic components adopting the piston-cylinder mechanism.

  • This paper presents the experimental results of the radial piston type oil pump with new mechanism for a metal diaphragm hydrogen compressor. Generally, metal diaphragm type hydrogen compressor systems are operated by oil hydraulic power. In this system an oil compensating pump has been demanded to compensate for a leakage oil head chamber. The metal diaphragm type hydrogen compressor consists of an oil compensating pump, commonly used hydraulic piston pump and driven by main crank shaft. The radial piston type oil compensating pump with new rolling contacted piston mechanism is developed and experimented. The developed piston element of the radial piston pump consists of piston, steel ball, return spring, two check valves, eccentric cam and ball racer. In this study, designed 4 type pistons as and orifice hole. Operating characteristics and pressure ripple characteristics are tested under no load to 60bar loaded with every 20bar increasing step and pressure ripple and flow rate are experimentally investigated.

Measurement of Fluid Film Thickness on the Valve Plate in Oil Hydraulic Axial Piston rumps (I) - Bearing Pad Effects -

  • The tribological mechanism between the valve plate and the cylinder block in oil hydraulic axial piston pumps plays an important role on high power density. In this study, the fluid film thickness between the valve plate and the cylinder block was measured with discharge pressure and rotational speed by use of a gap sensor, and a slip ring system in the operating period. To investigate the effect of the valve plate shapes, we designed two valve plates with different shapes . the first valve plate was without a bearing pad, while the second valve plate had a bearing pad. It was found that both valve plates behaved differently with respect to the fluid film thickness characteristics. The leakage flow rates and the shaft torque were also experimented in order to clarify the performance difference between the valve plate without a bearing pad and the valve plate with a bearing pad. From the results of this study, we found out that in the oil hydraulic axial piston pumps, the valve plate with a bearing pad showed better film thickness contours than the valve plate without a bearing pad.

유압관로에서의 캐비테이션 초생 (Cavitation Inception in Oil Hydraulic Pipeline)

  • 유압관로에서의 캐비테이션 발생 기구를 조사할 목적으로, 과도흐름에 수반하여 발생하는 캐비테이션 초생에 관한 실험 및 압력이 급강하 할 때의 기포 성장에 대한 계산을 행하였다. 실험에서 얻은 결과를 기초로 한 계산에서, 작동유가 절대압 영이하의 부압에 노출되어도 캐비테이션이 발생하지 않을 정도의 장력을 갖기 위해서는 소위 말하는 기포(기포 주위의 액체가 연속체로 간주될 수 있을 정도의 크기를 갖는 기포)가 유중에 존재할 가능성은 거의 없음이 입증되었다.

  • Oil hydraulic piston pumps are being extensively used around the world, because of their simple design, light weight, effective cost, etc. An oil hydraulic pump is likely to have the serious problems of high leakage, friction, and low energy efficiency after a long period of use. In an oil hydraulic piston pump, the clearance between the valve block and piston plays an important role for volumetric and overall efficiency. In this study, the wear property of the SACM645 material with DLC coating used for a hydraulic piston pump was determined by experimentation with variable heat treatment. To investigate the effect according to the piston surface condition, five different types of specimens were prepared. The maximum tensile strengths of the QT and QT Nitration specimens had similar values of about 800 MPa, but the strains indicated a big difference. In a wear test, the wear characteristic of the DLC coating specimen was shown to be excellent. The QT, QT + IH, QT + Nitration, and matirx specimen showed similar wear characteristics. In the case of a dry condition without oil, the DLC coating specimen had good wear resistance, with no wear shown.

  • The hydraulic LSD which uses the principle of gear pump is packed with viscous oil in tight container. When a slip occurs on one wheel, the hydraulic LSD generates torque caused by high oil pressure in the container. In this study, two dimensional(2-D) side pinion gear model was developed for hydraulic LSD. Using that model the flow analysis was conducted to preestimate pressure distributions of the side pinion gear according to the variations in the design factors such as oil viscosity, gear gap and rpm. Then, applying the obtained pressure distributions on the side pinion gear, finite element analysis was conducted to evaluate the torque characteristics. From the analysis results, the torque characteristics according to the design factor variations were evaluated.

Performance of SR Drive for Hydraulic Pump

  • This paper proposes a hydraulic pump system that uses a variable speed SR drive and constant capacity pump. For the design of the SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor) and digital controller, base speed and rating torque are determined from the mechanical specifications of the hydraulic pump. In order to minimize the power consumption during the maintaining of preset oil-pressure, the pressure control system changes the maximum oil-pressure band and flow rate according to the motor speed. The DSP control system adjusts the oil-pressure and the speed of the SRM from the pressure sensor signal, due to conservation of power consumption by the hydraulic pump. A 2.2Kw, 12/8 pole SR motor and DSP based digital controller are designed and tested with experimental set-up. The test results indicate that the system has some good features such as high efficiency and rapid response characteristics.
