A Hybrid Credit Rating System using Rough Set Theory (러프집합을 이용한 통합형 채권등급 평가모형 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Many different statistical and artificial intelligent techniques have been applied to improve the predictability of credit rating. Hybrid models and systems have also been developed by effectively combining different modeling processes or combining the outcomes of individual models. In this paper, we introduced the rough set theory and developed a hybrid credit rating system that combines individual outcomes in terms of rough set theory. An experiment was conducted to compare the prediction capability of the system with those of other methods. The proposed system based on rough set method outperformed the others.

  • This paper presents the modeling of hybrid railway vehicles with hydrogen Fuel-Cells (FCs)/battery using a rule-based algorithm. The driving power of traction system is determined with the speed-torque curve by operation area of the electric machine and the electrical systems are modeled. The demanded power of electrical systems is set with the energy management system (EMS). The consumption of hydrogen is effectively managed with the subdivided operation region depending on the state of charge (SOC). The validity of the modeling is verified using MATLAB/Simulink.

  • In this paper, enhanced stand-alone operation and development of Matlab/Simulink model of emergency diesel based hybrid energy system is presented. Simulations based on the remote community or islands were performed for PV-diesel-battery hybrid system. Modeling of PV-diesel-battery integrated system is done to perform under the solar radiation and load conditions on Matlab/Simulink platform. The models of diesel generator unit, battery energy storage system, PV and frequency-power control are developed and simulation studies have been carried out under various conditions using Matlab/Simulink and SimPowerSystem. It is demonstrated that the proposed system can provide reliable and good quality power to the customers in diesel synchronous generator-based hybrid energy systems.

  • In this paper, we propose to study the possibility of using a photovoltaic system combined with a high speed micro-turbine. This hybrid system can work as stand-alone system or grid connected system as it will be a part of a micro-grid. Initially, we propose Matlab/Simulink dynamic models of photovoltaic, micro turbine systems and supercapacitor. Then, we carry out a simulation comparison of the two systems, this is, with supercapacitor and without supercapacitor bank. We show that supercapacitor bank as short-term storage device was necessary to reduce the fast fluctuation of power in the case of sensitive loads. It is verified the simulation results of Matlab/Simulink based hybrid power system represent the effectiveness of the suggested hybrid power system.

  • In this paper, the hybrid state space self-tuning control technique Is studied within the framework of fuzzy systems and dual-rate sampling control theory. We show that fuzzy modeling techniques can be used to formulate chaotic dynamical systems. Then, we develop the hybrid state space self-tuning fuzzy control techniques with dual-rate sampling for digital control of chaotic systems. An equivalent fast-rate discrete-time state-space model of the continuous-time system is constructed by using fuzzy inference systems. To obtain the continuous-time optimal state feedback gains, the constructed discrete-time fuzzy system is converted into a continuous-time system. The developed optimal continuous-time control law is then convened into an equivalent slow-rate digital control law using the proposed digital redesign method. The proposed technique enables us to systematically and effective]y carry out framework for modeling and control of chaotic systems. The proposed method has been successfully applied for controlling the chaotic trajectories of Chua's circuit.

  • This paper studies new estimation method for state of charge (SOC) of the hybrid electric vehicle lithium battery using sliding mode observer. A simple R-C Lithium battery modeling technique is established and the errors caused by simple modeling was compensated by the sliding mode observer. The structure of the sliding mode observer is simple, but it shows robust control property against modeling errors and uncertainties. The performance of the system has been verified by the UUDS test. The test results of the proposed observer system shows robust tracking performance under real driving environments.

  • In this paper, the system modeling and multi-agent control algorithm in isolated wind hybrid power systems are proposed. The multi-agent control is a new type of the hybrid control method that is made up of wind turbine, diesel generator, battery, and dumpload. Fourteen different modes of operations of the wind hybrid power system are performed by wind speed changes and the SOC of battery. Simulation results show that the efficient operations under various wind variations in isolated wind hybrid power systems can be obtained using proposed algorithms.

  • We propose the hybrid control for the path control of wheeled mobile robot system. To develop the hybrid control of mobile robot, the continuous dynamics of mobile robot are modeled by the switched systems. The abstract model and digital automata for the path control are developed. This hybrid control system has the 3-layered hierachical structure : digital automata as the higher process, mobile robot system as the lower process, and the interface as the interaction process between the continuous dynamics and the discrete dynamics. The control of following the desired-paths with edges are investigated as the applications by the computer simulation.

  • Many physical systems today are modeled by interacting continuous and discrete states that influence the dynamic behavior. Hybrid system models, suitable for describing the essential dynamics of a fairly large class of physical systems in control engineering applications, contain both continuous dynamics and discrete dynamics. We discuss the design of efficient hybrid controllers for the platoon maneuvers on an AHS. For the modeling of a hybrid system including the merge and split operations, we introduce the safety distance policy for the merge and split operations.   • Detailed mathematical models of hybrid drivertrain components are presented and numerical simulations are carried out to analyze the shift characteristics and to improve the driving comfortability when the hybrid drivetrain is applied at the vehicle . Theoretical results are compared with experimental ones from the dynamometer as same condition in order to prove the appropriateness of modeling . Adding the vehicle body modeling, included in the suspension and the engine mount, it is possible to predict the dynamic behavior and shift characteristics more actually when shifts are occurred by automated manual transmission(AMT). these additional results are also compared with the same simulation ones of internal combustion engined vehicle equipped conventional manual transmission. Hence, it can be expected that the hybrid vehicle with AMT has a good shift quality.
