The hybrid uncertain neural network method for mechanical reliability analysis

  • Concerning the issue of high-dimensions, hybrid uncertainties of randomness and intervals including implicit and highly nonlinear limit state function, reliability analysis based on the hybrid uncertainty reliability mode combining with back propagation neural network (HU-BP neural network) is proposed in this paper. Random variables and interval variables are as input layer of the neural network, after the training and approximation of the neural network, the response variables are obtained through the output layer. Reliability index is calculated by solving the optimization model of the most probable point (MPP) searching in the limit state band. Two numerical cases are used to demonstrate the method proposed in this paper, and finally the method is employed to solving an engineering problem of the aerospace friction plate. For this high nonlinear, small failure probability problem with interval variables, this method could achieve a good analysis result.

  • This paper is concerned with a fracture strength study of composite adhesive lap joints. The tests were carried out on specimen joints manufactured hybrid stacked joints such as the polyester and bamboo natural fiber layer. The main objective of the work was to test the fracture strength using hybrid fiber composites with a polyester and bamboo natural fiber layer adjacent to the spew fillet of adhesive bonded joints and hybrid stacked joints. The results are presented using tensile-shear strength graph and finite element analysis. The failure mechanisms are discussed in order to explain that spew fillet at the end of the overlap reduces greatly the adhesive shear and effects the tensile-shear strength in hybrid stacked joints.

하이브리드 로켓 연소에서의 경계층 진동 변화와 저주파수 연소불안정 (Oscillating Boundary Layer Flow and Low Frequency Instability in Hybrid Rocket Combustion)

  • 하이브리드 로켓 연소의 저주파수 연소불안정은 고체연료의 열적지연(Thermal Lag)과 경계층 유동 변화에 의한 열전달 진동의 공진에 의해 발생한다. 본 연구는 연료 표면 근처의 경계층 유동의 교란이 어떤 물리적 과정에 의해 발생하여 연소불안정으로 발달하는지를 실험적으로 확인하였다. 특히 산화제의 스월 분사는 연소 안정화에 매우 큰 기여를 하므로 스월 강도를 증가시키며 경계층의 변화와 연소불안정의 발생과정을 연구하였다. 경계층 섭동을 확인하기 위하여 연소 유동장을 가시화하였고 이미지에 대한 POD(Proper Orthogonal Decomposition) 분석을 시도하였다. 스월 강도가 증가할수록 500Hz 대역 고주파수 p', q'의 결합이 약해지며 열적지연과 유사한 주파수 특성을 갖는 Rayleigh Index의 섭동 발생도 약해져 경계층 진동의 발생이 점차 감소하는 것을 관찰하였다. 따라서 고주파수 p', q'의 주기적인 결합에 의한 축 방향 경계층 진동이 나타나면 열적지연 주파수와 공진에 의한 연소불안정이 발생함을 확인하였다.

하이브리드 애드-혹 네트워크를 위한 크로스-레이어 서비스 검색 기법 (Cross-Layer Service Discovery Scheme for Hybrid Ad-hoc Networks)

  • 무선 애드-혹 네트워크와 유선 네트워크를 연동하는 하이브리드 애드-혹 네트워크에서 효율적인 서비스 검색 기법은 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 무선 애드-혹 네트워크를 인터넷으로 확장한 하이브리드 애드-혹 네트워크를 위해 중복을 허용하는 다중 경로 소스 라우팅 프로토콜을 사용하는 효율적인 크로스-레이어 서비스 검색 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 다중 경로 소스 라우팅 프로토콜의 장점뿐만 아니라 크로스-레이어 서비스 검색 기법의 장점을 동시에 갖는 기법이다. 서비스와 경로 검색이 동시에 이루어지는 크로스-레이어 서비스 검색 기법이 서비스 검색 후 해당 경로를 다시 검색하여 서비스를 제공받는 기존 기법보다 적은 오버헤드를 가진다는 것은 직관적으로 이해할 수 있으므로, 본 시뮬레이션을 통해서는 이 기법이 각 노드에서 다중 라우팅 경로를 유지함으로써 경로 단절시 보다 빠른 라우팅 복구가 가능하며, 다중 경로의 수를 제한하고 링크/노드 중복을 허용하는 다중 경로를 유지하도록 함으로써 라우팅 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있음으로 보인다.

Fabrication of Ti Doped ZnO Nanostructures by Atomic Layer Deposition and Block Copolymer Templates

  • ZnO is one of the most attractive transparent conductive oxide (TCO) films because of low toxicity, a wide band gap material and relatively low cost. However, the electrical conductivity of un-doped ZnO is too high to use it as TCO films in practical application. To improve electrical properties of undoped ZnO, transition metal (TM) doped ZnO films such as Al doped ZnO or Ti doped ZnO have been extensively studied. Here, we prepared Ti doped ZnO thin films by atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the application of TCO films. ALD was used to prepare Ti-doped ZnO thin films due to its inherent merits such as large area uniformity, precise composition control in multicomponent thin films, and digital thickness controllability. Also, we demonstrated that ALD method can be utilized for fabricating highly ordered freestanding nanostructures of Ti-doped ZnO thin films by combining with BCP templates, which can potentially used in the photovoltaic applications.

Design and Synthesis of Multi Functional Noble Metal Based Ternary Nitride Thin Film Resistors

  • In recent years, multifunctional ternary nitride thin films have received extenstive attention due to its versatility in many applications. In particular, noble metal based ternary nitride thin films showed a promising properties in the application of Multifunctional heating resistor films because its good electrical properties and excellent resistance against oxidation and corrosion. In this study, we prepared multifunctional noble metal based ternary nitride thin films by atomic layer deposition (ALD) and plasma-enhanced ALD (PEALD) method. ALD and PEALD techniques were used due to their inherent merits such as a precise composition control and large area uniformity, which is very attractive for preparing multicomponent thin films on large area substrate. Here, we will demonstrate the design concept of multifunctional noble metal based ternary thin films. And, the relationship between microstructural evolution and electrical resistivity in noble metal based ternary thin films will be systemically presented. The useful properties of noble metal based ternary thin films including anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation will be discussed in terms of hybrid functionality.

혼성 예측 피라미드 호환 부호화 기법 (On the Hybrid Prediction Pyramid Compatible Coding Technique)

  • Inthis paper, we investigate the compatible coding technique, which receives much interest ever since the introduction of HDTV. First, attempts have been made to analyze the theoretical transform coding gains for various hierarchical decomposition techniques, namely subband, pyramid and DCT-based decomposition techniques. It is shown that the spatical domain techniques proide higher transform coding gains than the DCT-based coding technique. Secondly, we compare the performance of these spatial domain techniques, in terms of the PSNR versus various rate allocations to each layer. Based on these analyses, it is believed that the pyramid decomposition is more appropriate for the compatible coding. Also in this paper, we propose a hybrid prediction pyramid coding technique, by combining the spatio-temporal prediction in MPEG-2[3] and the adaptive MC(Motion Compensation)[1]. In the proposed coding technigue, we also employ an adaptive DCT coefficient scanning technique to exploit the direction information of the 2nd-layer signal. Through computer simulations, the proposed hybrid prediction with adaptive scanning technuque shows the PSNR improvement, by about 0.46-1.78dB at low 1st-layer rate(about 0.1bpp) over the adaptive MC[1], and by about 0.33-0.63dB at high 1st-layer rate (about 0.32-0.43bpp) over the spatio-temporal prediction[3].

Hybrid Multi-System-on-Chip Architecture as a Rapid Development Approach for a High-Flexibility System

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid multi.system-on-chip (H-MSoC) architecture that provides a high-flexibility system in a rapid development time. The H-MSoC approach provides a flexible system-on-chip (SoC) architecture that is easy to configure for physical- and application-layer development. The physical- and application-layer aspects are dynamically designed and modified; hence, it is important to consider a design methodology that supports rapid SoC development. Physical layer development refers to intellectual property cores or other modular hardware (HW) development, while application layer development refers to user interface or application software (SW) development. H-MSoC is built from multi-SoC architectures in which each SoC is localized and specified based on its development focus, either physical or application (hybrid). Physical HW development SoC is referred to as physical-SoC (Phy-SoC) and application SW development SoC is referred to as application-SoC (App-SoC). Phy-SoC and App-SoC are connected to each other via Ethernet. Ethernet was chosen because of its flexibility, high speed, and easy configuration. For prototyping, we used a LEON3 SoC as the Phy-SoC and a ZYNQ-7000 SoC as the App-SoC. The proposed design was proven in real-time tests and achieved good performance.

Hole Blocking Layer 사용에 따른 하이브리드 백색 OLED의 색순도 향상에 관한 연구 (Improvement of Color Purity Using Hole Blocking Layer in Hybrid White OLED)

  • Novel materials of $Zn(HPB)_2$ and Ir-complexes were respectively synthesized as blue or red emitting material. White Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED) were fabricated by using $Zn(HPB)_2$ for a blue emitting layer, Ir-complexes for a red emitting layer and $Alq_3$ for a green emitting layer. White OLED was fabricated by using double emitting layers of $Zn(HPB)_2$ and $Alq_3:Ir$-complexes, and hole blocking layer of BCP. We also varied the thickness of BCP. When the thickness of BCP layer was 5 nm, white emission was achieved. We obtained a maximum luminance of $3,500cd/m^2$. The CIE coordinates was (0.375, 0.331). From this study, we could propose that the hybrid structure is efficient in lighting application of white OLED by improvement of color purity.

이중 보강근을 가지는 FRC 보의 휨성능 (Flexural Behavior of Fiber Reinforced Concrete Beams with Hybrid Double-layer Reinforcing Bars)

  • 이형철근과 FRP 보강근의 복합 이중근을 갖는 FRC 보의 휨성능을 평가하기 위하여 실험이 수행되었다. 인장근의 종류(CFRP 보강근, GFRP 보강근, 철근)과 PVA 섬유 혼입률(0.5%, 0%)을 주요변수로 한 7개의 실험체를 제작하였다. 유한요소해석을 통하여 FRC 보의 균열 및 휨거동을 예측하기 위한 해석적 방법이 제안되고 분석되었다. 복합 이중근을 가지는 실험체들에서 철근으로 이중근을 가지는 실험체가 철근과 FRP 보강근을 이단으로 배치한 실험체들에 비하여 26~34% 균열하중이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 최대 휨강도에서는 복합 이중근을 가지는 실험체들 중 CFRP 보강근을 최외측으로 한 실험체가 가장 큰 내력을 나타내었다. 해석과 실험을 통한 휨강도를 비교한 결과, 강도비는 평균 1.2, 표준편차 0.085, 최대 오차율은 22% 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에서 본 연구의 유한요소해석방법이 복합 이중근을 가지는 보의 실제 거동을 효과적으로 표현할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.
