전류 모드 CMOS를 이용한 4치 Hybrid FFT 연산기 설계 (Four-valued Hybrid FFT processor design using current mode CMOS)

  • 본 논문에서는 전류모드 CMOS의 기본회로를 이용해 다치 논리(Multiple-Valued Logic) 연산기를 설계하고자 한다. 우선, 2진(Binary)FFT(Fast Fourier Transform)를 확장해 다치 논리회로를 이용해서 고속 다치 FFT 연산기를 구현하였다. 다치 논리회로를 이용해서 구현한 FFT연산은 기존의 2치 FFT과 비교를 해 본 결과 상당히 트랜지스터의 수를 줄일 수 있으며 회로의 간단함을 알 수가 있었다. 또한, 캐리 전파 없는 가산기를 구현하기 위해서 {0,1,2,3}의 불필요한(Redundant) 숫자 집합을 이용한 양의 수 표현을 FFT회로에 내부적으로 이용하여 결선의 감소와 VLSI 설계시 정규성과 규칙성으로 효과적이다. FFT승산을 위해서는 승산기의 연산시간과 면적을 다치 LUT(Look Up Table)로 이용해 승산의 역할을 하였다. 마지막으로 이진시스템(Bin system)과의 호환을 위해 다치 하이브리드형 FFT 프로세서를 제시하여 2진4치 부호기와 4치 2진 복호기 및 전류모드 CMOS회로를 사용하여 상호 호환성을 갖도록 설계를 하였다.

  • This paper presents the first domestic model product of hybrid Insulation low-loss type pole transformer, with increased overload ability, increased life, reduced loss, focusing improved short-circuit characteristics. The capacity of this transformer is 100 KVZ, rates first voltage 13200 V and secondary voltage 230/115 type. The volume of model transformer that was produced in high temperature using hybrid insulation can be reduced to 10-20% in comparison with that of present transformer with the same capacity. In this paper, we did short-circuit test and tested general characteristics of model transformer. In addition, we suggested design application new concept and methods thorough this experiment.

  • In order to present that the electromagnetic compatibility standards following the frequency goes up which is based automotive electronics, in this paper, a hybrid/electric vehicle battery which reflects the frequency of the equivalent circuit model is introduced. By using this circuit modeling, the impedance characteristics can be analysed and an analyze of battery one cell is finished. Using this model, each different from the discharging situation, the discharge characteristic curve could be led. Basic theoretical approaches and measuring results through MATLAB and experimental validation of the EIS measurement equipment was used.

A Low Close-in Phase Noise 2.4 GHz RF Hybrid Oscillator using a Frequency Multiplier

  • This paper proposes a 2.4 GHz RF oscillator with a very low close-in phase noise performance. This is composed of a low frequency crystal oscillator and three frequency multipliers such as two doubler (X2) and one tripler (X3). The proposed oscillator is implemented as a hybrid type circuit design using a discrete silicon bipolar transistor. The measurement results of the proposed oscillator structure show -115 dBc/Hz close-in phase noise at 10 kHz offset frequency, while only dissipating 5 mW from a 1-V supply. Its close-in phase noise level is very close to that of a low frequency crystal oscillator with little degradation of noise performance. The proposed structure which is consisted of a low frequency crystal oscillator and a frequency multiplier provides new method to implement a low power low close-in phase noise RF local oscillator.

전기적-기계적 수동감쇠기를 이용한 빔의 진동제어 (Vibration Control of Beams Using Mechanical-Electrical Hybrid Passive Damping System)

  • A new mechanical-electrical hybrid passive damping treatment is proposed to improve the performance of structural vibration control. The proposed hybrid passive damping system consists of a constrained layer damping treatment and a shunt circuit. In a passive mechanical constrained layer damping, a viscoelastic material damping layer is used to control the structural vibration modes in high frequency range. The passive electrical damping is designed for targeting the nitration amplitude in the low frequency range. The governing equations of motion are derived through the Hamilton's principle. The obtained mathematical model Is validated experimentally. The presented theoretical and experimental techniques provide invaluable tools for controlling the multiple modes of a vibrating structure over a wide frequency band.

  • 본 논문에서는 통신위성시스템 탑재를 위한 Ku-Band 선형화 채널증폭기 비행모델의 설계와 제작된 결과를 고찰하였다. 정착된 모든 서브모듈, 즉 가변이득증폭기, 가변전압감쇠기, 그리고 전치왜곡 보상회로를 위한 브랜치 라인 결합기와 검출기는 Thin-Film Hybrid 작업으로 제작되었다. 제작된 모듈의 성능은 초고주파 회로분석 시뮬레이션 툴과 우주환경에서의 전기적인 성능시험을 통하여 검증하였다.

Fluctuating Reduction Method for Generation Power of the Wind-PV Hybrid System

  • This paper reports the performance of a CB (Circuit Breaker) and converter for the battery operated Wind-PV (Photovoltaic) system. For this purpose, a fluctuating reduction controller for an electric generation hybrid (wind+PV) system is suggested. The method operates a wind turbine, PV, CB, converter and battery. Integration of wind and PV sources, which are generally complementary, usually reduce the capacity of the battery. Also, CB controls the overvoltage of the generation system. The objective is to control the operation of the converter and the CB and reduce power fluctuation. This paper includes discussion on system performance, power quality, fluctuation and effect of the randomness of the wind.

평형결합선로 이론을 이용한 소형화된 집중/분포소자 방향성 결합기 (Lumped/Distributed Hybrid Element Directional Coupler with Reduced Size Based on Parallel Coupled-Line Theory)

  • In this paper, we have designed a small size lumped/distributed hybrid element directional coupler using parallel coupled-line theory. a hybrid lumped equivalent circuit for a conventional parallel directional coupler is proposed. The equivalent circuit and design formula for the presented lumped element coupler are derived based on the even- and odd-mode properties of a parallel-coupled line. By using the derived design formula, we have extracted design parameters and designed the 3㏈ and 10㏈ small size lumped element directional couplers at the center frequency of 2Ghz. Excellent agreements between design theory and simulation on the designed directional couplers show the validity of this paper.

  • New design method of small-sized 3-dB $0^{\circ}/180^{\circ}$ ring hybrid and Wilkinson power divider using both lumped elements and distributed elements are presented. At the center frequency of 900 MHz 3-dB $0^{\circ}/180^{\circ}$ ring hybrid and Wikinson power divider are designed and tested. Good agreements are obtained between measured and theoretical modeling results, and at the same time the circuit area is reduced by more than 70% compared with the discributed-type circuits.

  • Voltage Source Converter HVDC (VSC-HVDC) are a better alternative than conventional thyristor based HVDC systems. Unfortunately, VSC-HVDC's full potential cannot be utilized up till now due to absence of suitable HVDC protection. Recently, hybrid HVDC circuit breakers (HDCCB) have been developed and successfully lab tested. However, their application and feasibility in VSC-HVDC needs to be investigated. In this research paper we have modelled an existing HDCCB and evaluated its impact on fault reduction and interruption in VSC-HVDC systems. The HDCCB was applied in Korean Jeju-Haenam VSC-HVDC system model and its impact was analyzed for HVDC line-to-ground and line-to-line faults. HDCCB successfully interrupted the fault current and prevented the damages to costly IGBTs and converter transformers.
