  • In this paper, an analysis of behavior is performed in the circular hybrid energy harvesting device. This analysis of behavior is to confirm with or without an existence of nonlinear system because its system is required to produce the more energy. To do this, first of all the phase portrait is reconstructed through Taken's embedding method, and then Poincare map is organized by using phase portrait and finally Lyapunov exponent is analyzed.

  • This paper is concerned with the use of a selforganizing map (SOM) to estimate the desired channel states of an unknown digital communication channel for blind equalization. The modification of SOM is accomplished by using the Bayesian likelihood fitness function and the relation between the desired channel states and channel output states. At the end of each clustering epoch, a set of estimated clusters for an unknown channel is chosen as a set of pre-defined desired channel states, and used to extract the channel output states. Next, all of the possible desired channel states are constructed by considering the combinations of extracted channel output states, and a set of the desired states characterized by the maximal value of the Bayesian fitness is subsequently selected for the next SOM clustering epoch. This modification of SOM makes it possible to search the optimal desired channel states of an unknown channel. In simulations, binary signals are generated at random with Gaussian noise, and both linear and nonlinear channels are evaluated. The performance of the proposed method is compared with those of the "conventional" SOM and an existing hybrid genetic algorithm. Relatively high accuracy and fast search speed have been achieved by using the proposed method.

  • Hybrid electric vehicles have attracted much attention of late, emphasizing the necessity of developing traction motors with a high input current and a wide speed range. Among such traction motors, various researches have been conducted on interior permanent-magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs) with high power density and mechanical solidity. Due to the complexity of its parameters, however, with nonlinear motor characteristics and current vector control, it is actually difficult to accurately estimate the base speed within an actual operating speed range or a voltage limit. Moreover, it is impossible to construct an efficiency map as the efficiency differs according to the control mode. In this study, a simulation method for operation performance considering the nonlinearity of IPMSM was proposed. For this, datasets of various nonlinear parameters were made via the finite-element method and interpolation. Maximum torque-per-ampere and flux-weakening control were accurately simulated using the datasets, and an IPMSM efficiency map was accurately constructed based on the simulation. Lastly, the validity of the simulation was verified through tests.

  • Modeling of engine-generator system and its control responses are investigated using high performance generator controller. The nonlinear engine is modeled using mean torque production model based on experimental engine map. In case of diesel engine. the amount of injected fief is decided by engine controller depending on the APS(Acceleration Position Sensor) value. An electromechanical generator model contains electrical circuits and moment of inertia. The generator controller maximizes the performance of generator using decoupling and linearized current feedback control. The generator control system consists of 3-phase IGBT inverter and controller board based on 32 bit floating point DSP. Field oriented control algorithm with digital current feedback control at 10kHz sampling enabled high performance torque and speed control of induction machine. Not only the steady state but also the transient state responses can be evaluated through a batch test of the engine generator system. Developed engine and generator modeling and control can be utilized in various applications such as Series Hybrid Electric Vehicle(SHEV), engine-generator for emergency, and other hybrid generation systems.

  • Nowadays, networked computer systems play an increasingly important role in our society and its economy. They have become the targets of a wide array of malicious attacks that invariably turn into actual intrusions. This is the reason computer security has become an essential concern for network administrators. Recently, a number of Detection/Prevention System schemes have been proposed based on various technologies. However, the techniques, which have been applied in many systems, are useful only for the existing patterns of intrusion. Therefore, probe detection has become a major security protection technology to detection potential attacks. Probe detection needs to take into account a variety of factors ant the relationship between the various factors to reduce false negative & positive error. It is necessary to develop new technology of probe detection that can find new pattern of probe. In this paper, we propose an hybrid probe detection using Fuzzy Cognitive Map(FCM) and Self Adaptive Module(SAM) in dynamic environment such as Cloud and IoT. Also, in order to verify the proposed method, experiments about measuring detection rate in dynamic environments and possibility of countermeasure against intrusion were performed. From experimental results, decrease of false detection and the possibilities of countermeasures against intrusions were confirmed.

  • Under amazing increase in markets and certain demand on qualified service in the delivery system, global logistic optimization is becoming a keen interest to provide an essential infrastructure coping with modern competitive prospects. As a key technology for such deployment, we have been engaged in the practical studies on vehicle routing problem (VRP) in terms of Weber model, and developed a hybrid approach of meta-heuristic methods and the graph algorithm of minimum cost flow problem. This paper extends such idea to multi-depot VRP so that we can give a more general framework available for various real world applications including those in green or low carbon logistics. We show the developed procedure can handle various types of problem, i.e., delivery, direct pickup, and drop by pickup problems in a common framework. Numerical experiments have been carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Moreover, to enhance usability of the method, Google Maps API is applied to retrieve real distance data and visualize the numerical result on the map.

  • Physical layer security (PLS) can improve the security of both terrestrial and nonterrestrial wireless communication networks. This study proposes a simplified framework for nonterrestrial cyclic prefixed orthogonal variable spreading factor (OVSF)-encoded multiple-input and multiple-output nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems to ensure complete network security. Various useful methods are implemented, where both improved sine map and multiple parameter-weighted-type fractional Fourier transform encryption schemes are combined to investigate the effects of hybrid PLS. In addition, OVSF coding with power domain NOMA for multi-user interference reduction and peak-toaverage power ratio (PAPR) reduction is introduced. The performance of $\frac{1}{2}$-rated convolutional, turbo, and repeat and accumulate channel coding with regularized zero-forcing signal detection for forward error correction and improved bit error rate (BER) are also investigated. Simulation results ratify the pertinence of the proposed system in terms of PLS and BER performance improvement with reasonable PAPR.

  • The paper proposes two hybrid metaheuristic optimization and artificial neural network (ANN) methods for the close prediction of the ultimate axial compressive capacity of concentrically loaded concrete filled double skin steel tube (CFDST) columns. Two metaheuristic optimization, namely genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO), approaches enable the dynamic training architecture underlying an ANN model by optimizing the number and sizes of hidden layers as well as the weights and biases of the neurons, simultaneously. The former is termed as GA-ANN, and the latter as PSO-ANN. These techniques utilize the gradient-based optimization with Bayesian regularization that enhances the optimization process. The proposed GA-ANN and PSO-ANN methods construct the predictive ANNs from 125 available experimental datasets and present the superior performance over standard ANNs. Both the hybrid GA-ANN and PSO-ANN methods are encoded within a user-friendly graphical interface that can reliably map out the accurate ultimate axial compressive capacity of CFDST columns with various geometry and material parameters.

  • This paper presents a method for a hybrid (color and depth) camera system construction using a photogrammetric technology. A TOF depth camera is efficient since it measures range information of objects in real-time. However, there are some problems of the TOF depth camera such as low resolution and noise due to surface conditions. Therefore, it is essential to not only correct depth noise and distortion but also construct the hybrid camera system providing a high resolution texture map for generating a 3D model using the depth camera. We estimated geometry of the hybrid camera using a traditional relative orientation algorithm and performed texture mapping using backward mapping based on a condition of collinearity. Other algorithm was compared to evaluate performance about the accuracy of a model and texture mapping. The result showed that the proposed method produced the higher model accuracy.

  • Fixed point theorems for two hybrid pairs of single valued and multivalued noncompatible maps under strict contractive condition are proved, without appeal to continuity of any map involved therein and completeness of underlying space. These results extend, unify and improve the earlier comparable known results.
