  • HACCP is scientific Sanitary control system to ensure food safety with autonomous, systematic and effective way by analysing hazard element that can be occurred in each steps until an end consumer takes food including raw material status, manufacturing, processing, storing, distributing, cooking and specifying the critical control point. In this paper, the temperature and humidity are measured during the transport of food, the stage of its distribution, to ensure systematic and effective management of HACCP, and we designed a monitoring terminal that uses this information to send it to servers periodically and a firmware that implements it. We have confirmed that the data transmitted by the terminal, including the information measured in sub-net, was well stored on the server and the response from the server is well received by the terminal. It is expected to be used for the management of food history, data tracking and statistical data in the future. This system is also considered to be an applicable system for group cafeteria such as schools or workplaces and logistics warehouses for raw materials or food storage and so on.

  • This study investigated indoor temperature and humidity control and PM1 and PM10 mitigation effects of a single green wall (Case 1), two green walls (Case 2), and two green walls plus a waterfall (Case 3) in comparison with a control without either a green wall or waterfall. Experiments were conducted in the office of Chungbuk National University from August to September, 2015. Experiments were carried out sequentially in the order of control, Case 1, Case 2, and Case 3. Data collected from August 17 to August 20, 2015 (Experiment 1), and from August 31 to September 3, 2015 (Experiment 2), when outdoor temperature was relatively constant, were analyzed. Plant volume ratios by indoor landscaping of the control, Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3 were 0.0, 0.6, 1.2, and 1.4%, respectively. Compared to the control, average temperatures of Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3 were decreased by 0.3~0.7, 0.7~0.9 and $1.0^{\circ}C$, respectively, and relative humidity was increased by 1.8~8.7, 9.2~14.6 and 14.8~21.9%, respectively. Three hundred minutes after exposure to mosquito repellent incense particles, the ratio of the remaining PM1 of the control, Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3 were 25.0, 22.0%, 21.2%, 17.3%, respectively, in Experiment 1 and 42.3, 28.9, 23.1, and 30.9%, respectively, in Experiment 2. As indoor greening increased the effect of indoor temperature, PM1 and PM10 mitigation were greater, and temperature and humidity were lower. The greater the relative humidity was, the faster PM1 and PM10 mitigation tended to be.

  • In this paper, we prepared new type of hydrophilic block copolymers that exhibit the long-ranged lateral ordering in thin film. It was previously demonstrated that poly(ethyleneoxide-b-styrene) and poly(ethyleneoxide-b-metharylate-b-styrene) block copolymer thin films have a high degree of lateral ordering after solvent annealing process. In these cases, the relative humidity plays an important role in long-ranged lateral ordering. However, the origin of the humidity effect on the orders of these hydrophilic block copolymers is not fully understood. To investigate the effect of the humidity further, we prepared other hydrophilic poly(N,N-dimethylacrylamide-b-styrene)(PDMA-b-PS) block copolymers via RAFT polymerization. As with PEO-containing block copolymers, PDMA-b-PS block copolymers exhibit the long-ranged lateral ordering after solvent annealing process.

  • Along with research into the latest preservation treatments for items of cultural heritage, studies of the preservation environment and the effect of damage are also increasing. This study conducted comprehensive research into the temperature, humidity, acids, ammonia, reduced sulfur compounds, aldehydes with various ingredients in the exhibition hall, show case, and storage of three type museum. As a result, temperature, humidity, TVOCs, acetaldehyde frequently exceeded the domestic and international standards for a museum preservation environment and indoor air quality. Also, formaldehyde, chloride, and ammonia exceeded the standards intermittently. Temperature, humidity, TVOCs, acetaldehyde were evaluated to be the major influential factors. In order to control the major factors, apart from temperature and humidity, that cause damage in the museum environment, it is deemed necessary to complement this system with an effective air filter or remover.

  • Three newly authorized bivoltine silkworm hybrids namely, $CSR2{\times}CSR4$ (productive single hybrid), $(CSR6{\times}CSR26){\times}(CSR2{\times}CSR27)$ (productive double hybrid) and $CSR18{\times}CSR19$ (robust single hybrid) were chosen for the present study. These hybrids were subjected to different temperature and humidity treatments i.e., $25{\pm}$1^{\circ}C and RH $65{\pm}5%$ (control), $30{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, with combinations of low relative humidity (RH $65{\pm}5%$) and high RH ($85{\pm}5%$) at different stages during rearing and spinning of silkworm larvae. The larvae of after 3rd moult were subjected to different thermal and humidity stress till the assessment of cocoon traits. The comparative rearing and reeling performance clearly indicated that the deleterious effect of high temperature and high RH was more pronounced for the majority of traits such as cocoon uniformity, cocoon weight, shell weight, shell percentage, reelability, filament length, raw silk percentage raw silk recovery denier and waste percentage on silk weight than other temperature and RH treatments and this effect was almost similar for all three silkworm hybrids studied. The present investigation clearly indicate that the deleterious effect of high temperature and high RH was more pronounced on rearing and spinning of silkworm larvae than other temperature and RH treatments and similar effect was noticed for all the three silkworm hybrids studied. The cocoon characters can be improved by providing ideal environmental conditions even during spinning stage of larvae affected with high temperature and RH. The study also suggest that high temperature and low humidity has greater effect during rearing stage than spinning stage.

  • The storage effects of satsuma mandarin(Citrus unshiu Marc. var. miyagawa) by humidity control during storage; 90% relative humidity (RH) and 85% RH at $3^{circ}C$, and room temperature were investigated. After 98 days' storage, weight losses were 3.40% for 90% RH, 6.92% for 85% RH, and 11.87% for room temperature storage. Decay ratio was increased rapidly from 3.87% on 98 days' to 48.75% on 126 days' storage for 90% RH. Soluble solids and flesh ratio were declined gradually, but the differences were not significantly. Firmness of fruits was continuously reduced during storage, especially on room temperature storage by the softening of the fruits. Acid content and vitamin C were gradually reduced during storage. Coloration was continuously progressed on room temperature, compared to cold storage. In order to keep freshness of the fruits, optimum storage period of early variety of Satuma mandarin was regarded for 100 days at $3^{circ}C$, 85% RH on the basis of sensory evaluation and chemical compositions.

  • The researches on the environmental friendly buildings have carried out on the materials, environmental property, technical elements and etc., and various buildings with these green materials have built and under construction nowadays and became a new trend of the green building. And recently, new building technique which builds the wall with the soil and wood and very easy to construct (called M Earthen House) was introduced as the green building and rapidly propagated. But the research on the indoor climatic characteristics, the ability to control the environmental comfort and the influence to the human beings of these buildings are not sufficiently identified yet. In this paper, the indoor environmental characteristics and the temperature controlling ability of these buildings in summer season were measured and analysed by the Portable Indoor Air Quality Monitor(BABUC/A, LSI) measuring equipments, ana the subjective test on the thermal environment of the subjects were carried out to evaluate the thermal comfort. The results can be summarized as follows; 1) Compared to the outdoor dry bulb temp.($15.4{\sim}28.7^{\circ}C$), the indoor temp. was $19.5{\sim}26.8^{\circ}C$. It showed the temperature controlling ability of the M earthen house was outstanding. And the indoor relative humidity, compared to the outdoor($45.4{\sim}100%$), was $58.1{\sim}76.4%$, it showed the humidity controlling ability of the M earthen house was also outstanding. 2) The thermal environment was evaluated as 'comfort'(neutral-slightly warm) and the humidity was also evaluated as 'comfort'(neutral-slightly humid). So, the results of the physical and subjective evaluation on the indoor thermal comfort in summer season were 'neutral' and 'comfort' coincidently, it was confirmed that the controlling ability of the indoor temperature and humidity of the M earthen house was very excellent.

  • The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze the indoor thermal conditions of a 8,500GT class chemical carrier which was launched on July 2007. The measurement was operated from 4th June to 4th June 2007, just before handing over to Owner. Followings are the results of this study. (1)The temperature variations of supply air were related to the outdoor temperature variations, but the humidity was stable at $65{\sim}80%$. (2)The temperature variations at the representative position of bridge, restaurant, crew's cabin showed gentle slopes. but that of conference room was very steepy. The humidities of bridge and restaurant were unstable because of outdoor-contact and cooking, respectively. (4)The temperature and humidity of ECR(Engine Control Room) which was designed to supply heating and cooling by PAC(Package Air Conditioner) were directly affected by the operating conditions of PAC. (5)The measured supply air volume from dampers of bridge, crew's cabin and conference room were satisfied with the design supply air volume. (5)For the improvement of the indoor thermal conditions, the temperature of crew's cabin and restaurant and the humidity of conference room, and the temperature and humidity of bridge should be controlled, respectively.
