This study aims to analyze the similarities and dissimilarities of various versions of <Heungbu-jeon> at both micro- and macro-levels using contents analysis techniques and the Hamming distance metrics. The 28 versions of <Heungbu-jeon> were segmented into 341 content units, and for each unit, the value of the content type was encoded. The dissimilarities between content types were compared among all versions by the content unit, respectively. The (dis-)similarities based on the content types of the 28 versions were aggregated and transformed into a distance matrix. The matrix was interpreted by multi-dimensional scaling, resulting into the two-dimensional coordinates. By visualizing the results by multi-dimensional scaling analysis, it was confirmed that the versions of <Heungbu-jeon> can be broadly divided into two groups. Hierarchical clustering and phylogenetic analysis were applied to analyze the clusters of the 28 versions, using the same distance matrix. The results showed that there are five clusters based on the micro-level analysis of (dis-)similarities within two major clusters. This study demonstrated the usefulness of applying digital humanities methods to encode the content of classical literary versions and analyze the data using clustering analysis techniques based on the (dis-)similarity of literary content.

The structure of a poset P with smallest element 0 is looked at from two view points. Firstly, with respect to the Zariski topology, it is shown that Spec(P), the set of all prime semi-ideals of P, is a compact space and Max(P), the set of all maximal semi-ideals of P, is a compact $T_1$ subspace. Various other topological properties are derived. Secondly, we study the semi-ideal-based zero-divisor graph structure of poset P, denoted by $G_I$ (P), and characterize its diameter.

The article provides a literary and analytical review in the following areas of search: problems and prerequisites for changes in the field of education, innovations and innovative models in education, the use of new technologies in teaching. A proposal for a business plan and accompanying documentation for a new methodology based on blockchain technologies were developed, to assess the economic efficiency of the project. The main systems of the new model were modeled on the basis of the proposed methodology, to develop a prototype based on the project documentation.

In this paper, a novel hybrid method for multi-focus image fusion is proposed. The method combines the advantages of wavelet transform-based methods and focus-measure-based methods to achieve an improved fusion result. The input images are first decomposed into different frequency sub-bands using the discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The focus measure of each sub-band is then calculated using the Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) operator, and the sub-band with the highest focus measure is selected as the focused sub-band. The focused sub-band is sharpened using an unsharp masking filter to preserve the details in the focused part of the image.Finally, the sharpened focused sub-bands from all input images are fused using the maximum intensity fusion method to preserve the important information from all focus images. The proposed method has been evaluated using standard multi focus image fusion datasets and has shown promising results compared to existing methods.

In this study, we analyzed future emerging technologies from the perspective of convergence research and arranged them into mega-trends, trends, and issues, to carry out predictions of the future environment and search for technologies that are expected to be closely related to human life, and ultimately to achieve convergence research agenda that can predict various social problems. First, we investigated and analyzed the literature mentioned about various promising technologies and analyzed them to analyze key words and summarize the most frequently used core key words to infer trends. Then, an agenda was drawn that emphasized connectivity with the humanities-based convergence research by stratifying and organizing the inferred trends and classifying them as core and derived trends. The necessity, innovation, convergence, feasibility, future-oriented, and acceptability of these derived agendas were investigated through a survey. The analysis showed that researchers conducting convergence research showed a high interest in agenda items that deal closely with daily life with feasible technologies in the near future, while they showed a rather low interest in issues such as technology that can be realized in the distant future, terrorism or international conflicts.

Due to the variety of tourist attractions, many people of the world are visiting annually in Mediterranean area. In this paper, we analyze Mediterranean tourism impact by specific events such as the Arab Spring. In details, we make several density maps based on the position and time information of the geo-tagged photos extracted from Panoramio which is a representative photo sharing website. These density maps should be used to analyze how can specific events affect on Mediterranean tourism. To do this, first, a spatial database is constructed using geo-tag and time information of photo data extracted from Panoramio. Using GIS tool, then, several density maps are produced after performing density process based on spatial databases. Based on these density maps, finally, we analyze visually on Mediterranean tourism impact according to before, progress, and after of the Arab Spring.

Globalization describes a process by which regional cultures have become integrated through a global network of communication. In order to communicate among different cultural groups, standardization of terminology is one of the most important steps among its processes. In the field of oriental medicine, there have been continuous efforts to communicate through various methods. Translation of oriental medical classics is one of the significant approaches in terms of transmitting medical theories and clinical experiences of thousands of years to the people of different cultural backgrounds. However, previous translation studies have had difficulties in delivering its underlying principles and assumptions due to lack of standardization of terminology. "WHO International Standard Terminologies on Traditional Medicine in the Western Pacific Region(WHO-IST)" is the outcome of developing standard terminologies on oriental medicine based on mutual agreement of researchers of Korea, China and Japan. As a movement to find more efficient methodology for communication between heterogeneous communities, this study aims to translate parts of "Classic of difficult issues(難經)" into English adopting "WHO-IST" hoping to set a model of translation study.

This research aims at developing an electronic culture atlas using smart phones as a way to share the research results of Mind Humanities. An electronic atlas offers the web service of a great deal of information without the limitation of paper, which is different from the existing paper maps. When the concept of culture is added to an electronic atlas, it becomes an electronic culture atlas. To create an application program using smartphones, their various features should be understood and the development method to maximize them is necessary. Accordingly, in this paper, what needs to be taken into consideration for the service based on smartphones and the characteristics of smartphones to be considered in the development process were examined.

The present work is an attempt to study the vibration analysis of the single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) under the effect of the surface irregularity using Donnell's model. The surface irregularity represented by the parabolic form. According to Donnell's model and three-dimensional elasticity theory, a novel governing equations and its solution are derived and matched with the case of no irregularity effects. To understand the reaction of the nanotube to the irregularity effects in terms of natural frequency, the numerical calculations are done. The results obtained could provide a better representation of the vibration behavior of an irregular single-walled carbon nanotube, where the aspect ratio (L/d) and surface irregularity all have a significant impact on the natural frequency of vibrating SWCNTs. Furthermore, the findings of surface irregularity effects on vibration SWCNT can be utilized to forecast and prevent the phenomena of resonance of single-walled carbon nanotubes.

This study investigates the role of universities in regional development by drawing upon case studies from Japan in which local universities contribute to regional development through the promotion of Industry-University Collaboration Projects of humanities and social sciences majors. Based on these cases, policy implications are derived for Korea. As a result of the analysis of Japan's cases, university-industry collaboration activities incorporating active participation and cooperation of various regional actors led by local universities of humanities and social sciences majors were seen to contribute to regional development. Rather than taking a passive attitude toward solving regional problems, the universities have entered into a more proactive relationship with their local community through university-industry collaboration of humanities and social sciences majors. They thereby also address problems and challenges relating to various aspect of the local community such as economy, culture and education. To activate university-industry collaboration of humanities and social sciences majors in order to strengthen regional development in Korea, awareness-raising of university-industry collaboration, development of student-led programs, proactive attitudes and efforts by the universities, arrangement of support plans by the government, and the like are required.
