Programming ability becomes an essential ability for elementary and secondary school students as well as computer science major students in modern information society. Thus, improving programming ability has long been a research project for computer scientists and teachers in IT areas. There have been many research works for improving programming ability in various ways. At first glance, emotional intelligence is generally known as humanistic intelligence, and nothing to do with computer areas. In the recent works, emotional intelligence has a correlation with various subjects. The purpose of this paper is to analyze correlation between emotional intelligence and programing ability. For this purpose, extensive survey works are carried out and statistical results are analyzed. Based on statistical analysis, it is concluded that there is a correlation between emotional intelligence and programming ability.
Background: The reaction of nurses to the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) during the fourth industrial revolution era remains questionable. Understanding Florence Nightingale's achievements may provide valuable lessons that will be helpful to contemporary nurses. Aims: To understand Nightingale's nursing philosophy and methods and provide suggestions for future nursing practice, education, research, and health policy. Source of evidence: Literature. Discussion/Conclusion: Just as Nightingale captured the situation of her time and introduced latest scientific methods, modern nurses need to learn from Nightingale's drastic actions to meet social needs. Nursing can regain a solid humanistic foundation by returning to core values of nursing and humanities, while simultaneously adopting state-of-the-art technologies. Implications for Nursing Policy: AI-driven technologies will advance nursing services and provide greater human-centered and personalized care by eliminating iterative and labor-intensive tasks. Nursing educational policy should support the advancement of nursing curricula to develop AI competencies and specialists within the nursing field.

The purpose of this study is to develop an elementary mathematics education program for social justice. In the two years of research including literature review and development of a teaching model, forty 6th grade elementary students at two schools in Seoul participated as participants for verification of the effectiveness of the program. Parents' SES in each group is in the high and average levels, respectively. The students participated in 12 mathematical classes for social justice, and the effects of mathematics education for social justice were tested by using mixed method. As a result of the study, students' perceptions of mathematics and tendency toward mathematics were changed positively. The results of this study showed that students' perceptions on mathematics and tendency toward mathematics were influenced by individual ability, inclination, and condition rather than parents' socio-economic environments. It is necessary to develop high qualified and diverse mathematical materials for social justice in order to cultivate creative convergence ability that flexibly copes with future society. It is also necessary for teachers to look at mathematics education in a broader and deeper perspective such as seeing mathematics with humanistic imagination.
With the development of artificial intelligence, a wave of the 4th industrial revolution is taking place around the world. With the technologies such as big data and Internet of Things-based artificial intelligence, we are heading to a hyper-connected society where everything converges into one. Accordingly as educational talents in the era of artificial intelligence, we are pursuing the cultivation of creative convergence-type talents and emotional creative talents. With human creativity and emotion at the center, we should be able to collaborate with artificial intelligence and create new things by converging knowledge in various fields. By developing a program that combines humanities-oriented Korean language with engineering-oriented artificial intelligence, this research attempted to help students experience solving problems creatively by combining humanistic knowledge with engineering thinking skills. The educational program consists of two kinds of contents(i.e., "Books with AI" and "A Play with AI") and 15 classes that provide students with opportunities to solve humanities problems with artificial intelligence.
Helen Lindquist Bonny developed the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (BMGIM), a music oriented self-exploration of consciousness, with the influence of humanistic and client-centered approaches. BMGIM can help people manage pain, anxiety, relationship issues, depression, and other conditions through self-awareness and self-potential. The purpose of this biographical study was to explore Bonny's early life experiences and their contribution to the humanistic and transpersonal approach to music therapy. The study was organized in chronological order: Bonny's childhood and young adulthood; inspirations that led to development of BMGIM; and research and clinical events that helped solidify the development of BMGIM. An interview with Bonny and a review of the literature supported the significance of these periods. The years between 1972 and 1979 mark the development of the first series of BMGIM music programs, which Bonny said served as the base for many later GIM music programs developed. Bonny's contribution to the field of music therapy includes the provision of strong foundation for music therapy based on Maslow's and Rogerian approach, and the introduction of time-valued music to the music therapy field.
This study examined the condition of an educational discourse, relating the concept of creativity, culture, culture-centered, and critical thinking, to explore Culture-based Art Education(CBAE). In particular, art education practice was examined using interpretations of creativity and critical theory positions from the field of education. Discourse analysis was used as the research method to contextually situate and analyze the ways in which art education theory and practice of creativity and of critical studies encoded meanings. The study helped build an understanding that creativity was formed as a modernist discourse in the humanistic stance. In education, creativity became the fundamental concern for progressive educators who pursued innate ability of individuals. The way to enhance creative potential of students was to induce their motive, as was the same case in art education, while in artist training, free expression was its main method. In this way, as creativity was intimately connected with the concept of expression, in art education art making is the only course for enhancing creativity. However, because creative process cannot intelligently be regarded as logically distinct from the creative product, and creativity can only be said by product, it seems valid to think that creativity is the quality not to be achieved by teaching. Furthermore, its emphasis on art making resulted in unbalance of art making and art appreciation in art education. It was the late sixties when several alternatives for creative education were made their appearance. Critical studies in art adopted critical theory as its theoretical background has developed as an alternative of creative art education, when research and theory for creativity could not be adequate to deal with the problem of practice. Critical theory is a broad and diverse field of theory and practice drawing on aspects of the modernist perspective of the later Frankfurt School, feminism, Freirean pedagogy, postcolonial discourse as well as postmodernism to construct a practical approach to education. It is very this eclectic nature to provide the mosaic that need to experience cultures from different perspectives in a pluralistic society. Because one's personality is formed by multiple aspects of culture which is very complex and is made up of what we do and value, creativity cannot make part of educational discourse with the philosophy of culture centered. On the other hand, critical studies, as a school art program of critical theory, can perform the role of CBAE, because it would have to deal with the investigation of social and cultural issues form multiple personal, local, national, and global perspectives.

This study shows that the Argovian Cantonal School in Aarau, Switzerland, which Albert Einstein attended from 1895 to 1896, had been closely related to the ideological education controversy in German Gymnasium throughout the 19th century. Due to this controversy, Einstein hardly received a formal science education in Bavaria. Despite the lack of formal education in Germany, he had a habit of self-studying from an early age and continued with this practice all through his life. He had a hard time at the authoritarian school in Munich, but at the democratic school in Aarau, where freedom and autonomy were secured, he was able to achieve emotional stability. For a long time, the city Aarau prevailed as a location of tolerance and multi-culturalism, without religious, regional, and national discrimination. This was possible due to the influence of external and unrestricted social mobility, as well as the Enlightenment from France. As a result, this small public school was able to acquire a mass of qualified human resources from outside of Switzerland. As a consequence of the controversy regarding the educational ideology, the Cantonal School adopted practical thoughts and the Enlightenment that fit the spirit of the times. The school consisted of two independent educational organizations: the Gymnasium, where the 'neuhumanistsch' education for the elite training was conducted, and the 'Gewerbeschule', where a more realistic education system was set up to suit the citizen life. In particular, after 1835, the Gymnasium changed gradually from the pure humanistic education to the 'utraquistisch' ways by introducing practical subjects such as natural history. Thereafter, the Cantonal School became an institution that was able to achieve a genuine humanity, academic, and civic life education. Einstein, who attended the 'technische Abteilung' of the 'Gewerbeschule,' considered this school as a role model of an institution that realized true democracy, and that left an unforgettable impression on him.
Purpose: This study was designed to construct a structural model explaining alienation, depression, and suicidal thoughts in male and female adolescents. Method: Data was collected by questionnairs from 204 male and 208 female students selected randomly in high schools in K city Results: This study found that depression was significantly affected by alienation, and was indirectly affected through alienation by school attachment, peer relationships, and academic performance. Suicidal thoughts were greatly affected by depression, and were directly and indirectly influenced by alienation. It was confirmed that alienation turned out to be a important mediating variable, while it had a effect significant on depression and suicidal thoughts. Also there were significant differences in affecting factors among male and female students. Conclusion: Intervention strategies for preventing alienation, depression and suicidal thoughts should be different according to gender in addition, specific nursing intervention plans, including parent education and role training programs, fostering of humanistic and achievement-focused educational environment, peer support programs, and individual counselling, need to be developed and implemented to lessen a feeling of alienation from family and school.

In Korea, a movement for founding a intentional community village is becoming popular to improve the individualistic living environment, and to create a humanistic lifestyle. However, it is difficult to say whether its management is successful or not because the intentional community village such as an eco-village is still in an experimental stage in Korea. In this study, a intentional community village was proposed as an alternative approach to help residents build an effective cooperation system and to encourage them to participate in various communal activities. Detailed cases were studied including a formation process and methods of residents' participation. Through the case study, actual conditions of the community villages and several problems were studied. The conclusion of this study is as follows; In order to sustain the community village, it is crucial to encourage the community spirit among the residents. We also find that developing various community facilities and programs can easily raise a sense of familial warmth among the residents. Above all, proactive participation in the communal activities is the most important. It is also necessary to consider the architectural design which can be used as a guiding principle for foundation of the intentional community village. In addition, concrete and systematic solutions including communal activity programs, residents education, and self management regulations must be discussed.
The aim of this research is to change the self as ill being lacking need satisfaction to the self as wellbeing through the communication process. An anger among Korean middle-aged women is formed in a unique socio-cultural context, life, and hierarchical structure of the society where they belong to. Thus, anger for middle-aged woman can be cured when both the doctor and the patient are equipped with humanistic thinking and positions, and the angry self can be changed into the owner of subjective life. To achieve the research purposes, this study, used an anger treatment program for middle-aged women by convergence. Korean medicine and humanities uses Pilot test.
