Indoor Surveillance Camera based Human Centric Lighting Control for Smart Building Lighting Management

  • The human centric lighting (HCL) control is a major focus point of the smart lighting system design to provide energy efficient and people mood rhythmic motivation lighting in smart buildings. This paper proposes the HCL control using indoor surveillance camera to improve the human motivation and well-beings in the indoor environments like residential and industrial buildings. In this proposed approach, the indoor surveillance camera video streams are used to predict the day lights and occupancy, occupancy specific emotional features predictions using the advanced computer vision techniques, and this human centric features are transmitted to the smart building light management system. The smart building light management system connected with internet of things (IoT) featured lighting devices and controls the light illumination of the objective human specific lighting devices. The proposed concept experimental model implemented using RGB LED lighting devices connected with IoT features open-source controller in the network along with networked video surveillance solution. The experiment results are verified with custom made automatic lighting control demon application integrated with OpenCV framework based computer vision methods to predict the human centric features and based on the estimated features the lighting illumination level and colors are controlled automatically. The experiment results received from the demon system are analyzed and used for the real-time development of a lighting system control strategy.

인간 가치 유형에 기반한 캐릭터 분석 방법론 제안 (Character Analysis Method based on the Value Type of the Human)

  • 본 연구는 지금까지의 서사 양식에 등장했던 캐릭터의 성격 유형론을 정리하여, 기존의 캐릭터의 성격 유형론이 갖고 있는 문제점을 정리하고 새로운 분류 가능성을 제안하기 위한 것이다. 지금까지 서사 이론에서 캐릭터 유형의 분류는 크게 서사 내에서의 역할이라는 형식적인 분류와 인간의 내적 자질에 근거한 내용적인 분류, 그리고 그 두 가지 분류 기준이 착종된 보완적 분류로 이루어져 있었다. 기존 캐릭터 분류 유형이 담고 있는 문제는 바로 인간의 내적 자질에 근거한 내용적인 분류의 유용성에 비해 실질적으로 분류가 어렵다는 점이다. 반면 서사 내 등장인물의 역할에 따른 분류는 그 분류가 형식적이기 때문에 서사론의 발전상 중요하게 다뤄져 왔지만, 그다지 실질적인 분석 방법론으로 기능하기는 어려웠다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 시론적인 성격으로, 샬롬 슈워츠의 인간의 가치 유형을 도입하여, 인간의 가치 유형과 인간의 역할을 상호 관련시켜 새로운 캐릭터 분석 방법의 가능성을 제안하고자 한다. 슈워츠의 가치 유형 연구는 인간의 행동의 동기를 파악하는 데 매우 효과적인 방법론으로, 등장인물의 지향성을 분석하는 데 큰 의미가 있을 것이다.

The Impact of Human Resource Management Activities on the Compatibility and Work Results

  • This research focuses on determining the impact of human resource management activities on the compatibility and work results of employees of Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) listed companies. The paper includes five parts: introduction, literature review, research methodology, research results, and conclusion and policy implications. The data are collected from the survey of 350 listed companies in HOSE, in which 315 survey notes filled with sufficient information are used for analysis. The paper employs both qualitative method and quantitative method. Group discussion of 10 experts is for qualitative research. Quantitative method performs analysis of Statistics, Cronbach's Alpha, EFA analysis, CFA analysis and SEM model. The results of the research clearly indicate that human resource management (HRM) activities are measured through improving the ability, improving the motivation and improving the opportunity. While compatibility is measured through suitability, connection and sacrifice; whereby HRM activities of ability improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability and connection; HRM activities of motivation improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability, connection and sacrifice; and HRM activities of opportunity improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability, sacrifice and connection; Finally, the job suitability, sacrifice and connection positively affect the work results of employees.

Effect of Environmental Responsible Human Resource Management Practice on Manufacturing Enterprise Green Technology Innovation and Organizational Effectiveness

  • This study uses the human resource management (HRM) practice and ability, motivation, and opportunities (AMO) theory and corporate social and environmental responsibility, to explore the effects of environmental responsible human resource management practice (ER-HRM) on energy-intensive manufacturing's green technology innovation and organizational effectiveness. A self-completed questionnaire was administered to managers of energy-intensive manufacturing in the Lao PDR. The data was collected from 198 managers of energy-intensive manufacturing for analysis. We used structural equation modeling (SEM) by smart PLS 3.0 to test the hypotheses in this research. The findings have shown a strong direct and positive impact of the environmental ability, motivation, and opportunity of ER-HRM practice on green technology innovation and organizational effectiveness. The ability of ER-HRM practice has the highest influence on green technology innovation and organizational effectiveness. The findings also prove the partial mediation of green technology innovation links ER-HRM with organizational effectiveness. This research is expected to identify the influences of ER-HRM in energy-intensive manufacturing to achieve innovation and performance while reducing emissions.

융합인재교육(STEAM)을 적용한 초등과학수업이 과학 학습 동기와 학업 성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Science Lesson Applying STEAM Education on Science Learning Motivation and Science Academic Achievement of Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of science lesson applying STEAM education on the science learning motivation and science academic achievement of elementary school students. The study subjects were four classes of the 5th grade of M elementary school in B Metropolitan City. Two classes including 64 students were experimental group and the others including 65 students were comparison group. For the purpose of study, the lesson unit 'The human body' were practised, the recomposed unit applying STEAM was applied to experimental group, whereas comparison group was taught traditional science lesson. The results of this study were as follows. First, the science lesson applying STEAM education influenced significantly the improvement of the science learning motivation of elementary school students. Second, the science lesson applying STEAM education influenced significantly the improvement of the science academic achievement of elementary school students.

간호대학생의 봉사활동 참여 동기, 인성 및 대인관계의 관계 (Association between a Motivation to Volunteer, Personality, and Interpersonal Relationships in Nursing College Students)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between a motivation to volunteer, personality, and interpersonal relationships in nursing students. Methods: A descriptive study was conducted using self-reported questionnaires to collect data from 185 nursing students in C city from February 1 to 28, 2018. Data were analyzed using independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation coefficient with SPSS version 21.0. Results: The mean score were 3.18±0.54 of motivation to volunteer, 4.62±0.50 of personality, and 3.74±0.44 of interpersonal relationships. Motivation to volunteer was positively correlated with personality and interpersonal relationships. A significant positive correlation was also found between personality and interpersonal relationships. Conclusion: Based on study results, nursing students need an opportunity to understand the nature of human and respect others through participation in various volunteer activities, and to improve personality and interpersonal relationship. Nurse educators should focus on the positive benefits of volunteering for nursing students and the strategies for encougring volunteering should be incorporated into the curriculum.

Chinese Consumers' Intention to Use Re-Commerce Platforms - Perspective Based on the Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) -

  • Contemporary consumers' acceptance of second-hand products has been increasingly improving worldwide, especially in China. Based on the Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, we developed and empirically validated a research framework to predict consumers' motivation to use re-commerce platforms. We explored the diverse factors influencing mobile commerce usage through re-commerce platforms. Furthermore, this study investigated the role of gender differences as a factor moderating the association between several constructs and the intention to use re-commerce platforms. A total of 226 consumer responses were collected. The results indicated that hedonic motivation, performance expectancy, consumer habits, social influence, and price value affect consumers' attitudes toward re-commerce platforms. The effects of the attitude toward re-commerce platforms on the intention to use these platforms were also statistically significant. When effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, and consumer habits in re-commerce platform usage increase, male consumers' attitude toward its usage, in particular, also increases. Meanwhile, when performance expectancy, hedonic motivation, and consumer habits in re-commerce platform usage increase, the attitude toward its usage increases among female consumers. Moreover, our results indicate that the two gender groups present different characteristics regarding re-commerce platform usage. Therefore, this study offers a theoretical basis for future analyses of second-hand trade.

온라인 커뮤니티 내 공동창조 참여 동기가 임파워먼트를 매개로 지속적 참여 및 옹호 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Consumers' Motivations for Co-creation on Continuance Participation and Advocacy Behavior Mediated by Empowerment)

  • The motivation behind consumers' voluntary participation plays a key role in determining the successful out-come of co-creation activities. This study, in the context of online-community-based co-creation, investigates the effect of consumers' motivation on continuance participation and advocacy intention by mediating perceived empowerment. We focused on analyzing the co-creation process of new product developments for beauty-related firms and platforms. A web survey was conducted on active users of the online beauty community who have participated in co-creation projects. A total of 226 responses were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical programs. The findings illustrate that all motivations for participation (intrinsic, social, and financial) influenced perceived empowerment. This increased empowerment also positively affected continuance participation and advocacy intention for future co-creation projects. Furthermore, we explored the moderating role of the engagement period in the community regarding the relationship between participation motivation and empowerment. The results show, consumers with high intrinsic motivation greatly perceive empowerment when they have short-term engagement in the community; those with high social motivation strongly recognize empowerment when they have long-term engagement in the community. We provide valuable recommendations regarding how to make innovative co-creation experiences between beauty firms and consumers via an online-based community.

조직구성원의 긍정피드백이 직무만족에 미치는 영향: 내적 동기부여의 매개효과와 LMX의 조절효과를 중심으로 (Impact of Organizational Member's Positive Feedback on their Job Satisfaction: The Mediating Role of Intrinsic Motivation and the Moderating Role of LMX)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 긍정피드백이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 그 과정에서 내적 동기부여의 매개효과와 LMX의 조절효과를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내 기업의 다양한 업종의 구성원 중 총396명에게 설문하여 345명으로부터 자료를 수집하였고, SPSS 25.0 AMOS 25.0를 사용하여 설문의 타당도를 Process Macro 3.0을 사용하여 변인들 간의 인과관계와 매개효과 조절효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 조직구성원들의 긍정피드백은 내적 동기부여와 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 조직구성원의 내적 동기부여는 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 긍정피드백과 직무만족간에 정(+)의 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 보였다. LMX는 긍정피드백과 내적 동기부여에 정(+)의 조절효과를 보였으며, 조직 구성원의 내적 동기부여는 긍정피드백과 직무만족간에 LMX에 의한 정(+)의 조절된 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과의 시사점은 첫째, 조직에서 최근 이슈가 되고 있는 리더의 긍정피드백은 조직구성원의 내적 동기부여를 만들어내고 그들의 직무만족을 향상시킨다는 것이다. 또한 리더와 조직구성원의 관계가 좋을수록 리더의 긍정피드백이 그들의 내적동기부여를 촉진시킨다는 것이다. 둘째, 조직의 성과와 인재육성을 위해서는 조직 구성원의 직무만족이 중요한 바, 이를 위해 조직구성원의 직무만족을 향상시킬 수 있는 다양한 방안으로 리더의 적절한 긍정피드백을 제공해야 하는 바 다양한 교육방법을 통해 리더의 역량을 배양해야 한다는 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

  • The successful knowledge and information based companies facilitate to restructure the industry and strengthen the national competitiveness in the future. The advent of information age provides us new challenge because the information breakthrough can play a pivotal role in terms of knowledge transfer in the human resource management. This research focuses on best practices of human management and contrasting the human resource strategy of Japanese and American firms respectively, Based on this, we suggest the strategic alternatives of the described HR problems as well as the way of effective human resource management for Korean venture firms. We have reviewed the previous international and domestic literatures in details to understand HR liabilities of newness of venture firms in terms of the population ecology. The objective of this research is to solve the HR problems that Korean firms faced with.
