등가 자기모델과 매질민감도법을 이용한 강자성체 판에 분포하는 영구자화에 기인한 자기장 신호분석 (Magnetic Field Analysis Due to the Remanent Magnetization Distributed on a Ferromagnetic Thin Plate by using Equivalent Magnetic Models and Material Sensitivity)

  • 본 논문에서는 강자성 선체에 존재하는 영구자화 분포에 기인한 자기장 신호를 예측하고자 연속체역학에 기반을 둔 매질민감도법과 등가 자기 모델을 결합한 역문제 해석 기법을 제시한다. 이를 위하여 3차원 자기전하 모델과 2차원의 등가 자기쌍극자 모델을 구축하였고 각각의 등가모델에 맞는 매질민감도 공식을 유도하였다. 매질민감도법은 자기전하나 자기쌍극자 변화에 대한 목적함수의 1차 미분정보를 제공하고 설계변수의 개수에 영향을 받지 않기 때문에 최적해를 빠른 시간에 도출할 수 있다. 제안된 해석 기법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해서 실험을 통해 측정된 자기장 신호와 각각 등가모델에 의한 역문제 해석을 통해 얻어진 예측치를 비교하였다.

FRP 어선 보수에 적용되는 겔코트의 해수 침투 방지 효과 (The Prevention Effect of Seawater Penetration of Gel Coat Applied in Repair of FRP Fishing Vessel)

  • Ships may collide with reefs or other objects during operation, when arriving or departing ports. The hull plate may be damaged due to the contact with other ships. The total number of domestic powered fishing vessels has decreased, but that of FRP fishing vessels has increased by 0.7% and the ratio of FRP fishing vessels to the total fishing vessels increased to 96%. Recently, fishing vessels has been used as fishing boats for income of non-fishermen as well as fishermen. Therefore, safety management for repair and maintenance is necessary. The penetration of moisture and moisture in the composite material such as FRP may deteriorate the mechanical properties and the salt (NaCl) component of the damaged portion may cause a relatively high deterioration in material strength. The gel coat painting is the final stage of repairs ans maintenance of FRP fishing vessels. The thickness criteria in the domestic and foreign gel coat is 0.3~0.762 mm. The joint specimens, which was immersed in seawater for 120 days, were compared with those without seawater immersion. As a result, the tensile strength was 83 ~ 121.8% and the flexural strength was 83 ~ 113% compared with the specimens without seawater immersion. According to the previous study the tensile strength decreased by more than 29% and the flexural strength decreased by more than 50% when the composite material was immersed in seawater for 1,083 hours without coating. As a result, it was found that the gel coat with 0.5 mm thickness is very effective in preventing the strength decrease of the composite material.

  • Because the tonal sound of the underwater noise in a naval vessel can be identified from the sub-marine of the enemy, it should be reduced sufficiently. This kind of the noise usually comes from the structure-borne noise of the onboard machine and transfers to the sea through the hull of the ship. The vibration at the high frequency can be reduced sufficiently with damping material. In this paper, the damping coefficient of the steel plate with damping sheet is evaluated by experiment. Using these evaluated properties, the numerical analysis is performed in order to evaluate how much vibration of the generator can be reduced applying damping sheet on the encloser and base of it.

Indirect Fault Detection Method for an Onboard Degaussing Coil System Exploiting Underwater Magnetic Signals

  • This paper proposes an indirect fault detection method for an onboard degaussing coil system, installed to reduce the underwater magnetic field from the ferromagnetic hull. The method utilizes underwater field signals measured at specific magnetic treatment facilities instead of using time-consuming numerical field solutions in a three-dimensional space. An equivalent magnetic charge model combined with a material sensitivity formula is adopted to predict fault coil locations. The purpose of the proposed method is to yield reliable data on the location and type of a coil breakdown even without information on individual degaussing coils, such as dimension, location and number of turns. Under several fault conditions, the method is tested with a model ship equipped with 20 degaussing coils.

  • The leak-before-break(LBB) design on the large structures such as ship's hull, tank structure, pressure vessels etc. is one of the most inportant subjects for the evaluation and the assurance of safety. In these structures, various loads are acting. In some structural members, therefore, out-of-plane stress due to bending often may become with in-plane stress due to stretching. In the present report, the characteristics of fatigue life and peneration behaviour from a surface cracked plate under combined tension and bending have been studied experimentally and analytically by using eccentricity. Estimation of fatigue crack growth was done with the Newman-Raju formula before penetration, and with the stress intensity factor after penetration proposed by the author. Calculated aspect ratio showed the good agreement with the experimental result. It was also found that particular crack growth behaviour and crack shape after penetration can be satisfactorily evaluated using the K solution proposed.

2척 선단 선망본선의 주요성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Principal Performance of Purse Seiner Ship in 2 Vessels Formation)

  • In this paper, a study on the principal performance of the purse seiner ship in two vessel formations was conducted. For this task, the outline of the purse seiner fishing system in two vessel formations was reviewed. At the same time, based on the general arrangement plan, hull from of the main vessel was developed. And the stability and ship motion characteristics of the ship design were estimated. Finally, to verify the characteristics of the resistance and self-propulsion coefficient, a model test in a circulating water channel was performed. As n result, it is anticipated that this presentation will be used as the foundation material for research of purse seiner.

  • Domestic small and medium ship companies have lack of leisure boat technologies and especially they have a problem about its low performance because of the overweight of boat hull. So it is necessary to have alternative manufacturing process to improve the mechanical properties of composite material. In this study, a vacuum curing system was developed as an alternative manufacturing process and then changed the fiber volume fractions of GFRP laminates. The properties of GFRP laminates such as void contents, Young's modulus and fracture toughness were determined for various fiber volume fractions.

Analysis of specific character of environment-friendly material-produced rice

  • The effects of mixtures of each of rice hull charcoal and wood charcoal with pyroligneous acid on the cultivation and antioxidant activities of rice were investigated. Results of the total phenolic compounds, DPPH radical electron-donating ability and xanthine oxidase stress activity analyses revealed that the environment-friendly materials increased the total antioxidant capacity in rice. In the case of palatability of rice, total amylose blue value and starch-I2color reaction analyses, data showed that environment-friendly materials generally decreased the amylose content of rice. Also, the environment-friendly materials improved the rice endosperm quality.

고주파 유도가열된 조선용 강판의 기계적 특성 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Properties of Heated Plates by Induction Heating System)

  • Due to of high intensity, lower noise and easy controllability of the heat, induction heating system became well known. Induction heating method has been suggested as substitute for the gas heat source and adopted in the automation of curved hull forming system. In this study, an investigation was accomplished to find the effects on the change of material properties when the induction heating was applied on the mild steel plate. Plates were heated using weaving method to get sufficiently heat affected zone and then cooled with water or in the air. The mechanical properties of the heated plate were evaluated. As results, the tensile test, impact test and microstructures satisfied the class rule.
