First, the recent trend of housing space tends to stimulate emotions of residents through visual finishing materials, and for this reason, visual expression of a new material that is applicable to finishing materials plays an important role. Second, convertibleness, association and duplicity were selected as items of metaphorical expressions through the precedent studies. Third, most of combinations of materials were shown different from the existing materials in an expressive characteristic of composite materials through analysis, and application of a technology showed a different visual effect of patterns and textures from the existing materials. This implies that visual expression and directing are being attempted using such technology on finishing materials of housing space with development of digital technologies. Fourth, for metaphorical characteristics of composite material for housing space, combination of various materials and a digital technology were applied on convertibleness. For association, a combination of materials that have each different characteristic associated with the third material, and combination with subsidiary material of optical fiber and a digital technology were appled for duplicity. Data obtained from the results of this study has high efficiency in planning finishing materials for emotional housing space in future, and it will be basic data for a study on development of new finishing materials.

  • The purpose of this study is to apply the basic data of the color plan to satisfy the internal desire of residents by considering residents's special in housing space. So we analyzed and surveyed the current condition of color plan in housing space where age units of 30~40 are living. The results of this study are as followed. when the current place of color distribution was observed, ceiling and general wall showed that N(white) systems and YR of bright tone was mostly distributed. On other hand the bottom showed that the calm tone YR was mostly distributed. we could know that residents wanted to show the special of rooms by using point wall. This tendency more presented in privacy room than public room. Through this study, we could evaluate that the special of residents is not presented in color plan of the housing space where age units of 30~40 are living. So we could think that it is needed methods of color plan considered the special of residents for discriminative characteristic of the design in housing space.

The data was collected through a questionnaire-survey from the students of the university in the city of Cheongju, Chungbuk. 191 samples were collected and analyzed by using SPSS-PC. The results are as follows: (1) this survey showed that most students are dissatisfied with private and shared spaces to narrow size, an unpleasant indoor environment, and incomplete facilities. (2) The most preferred housing type is an officetel in one room style because of its convenience. The majority of students preferred a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and dining room in personal preferential order with a wide room, well-ventilated environment, and reasonable space zoning for planning the private space. Broad personal spaces with shared spaces such as a study room, cafeteria and health zone are in demand for unit planning. • Although it is widely accepted that housing agents and institutions play a crucial role in (re)configuring the internal structure of housing markets, there is no much literature on the power relations among housing agents and institutions in the (re)production of housing space in the non-Western context. In this paper, founded theoretically on institutional approaches to housing, I investigate the structure of housing production and allocation, and the housing market system in South Korea. In addition, this research explores the characteristics of Korean housing policies in conjunction with the roles of and the interrelationships among housing agents in the (re)production of housing space in the Korean context. Based on the analysis of the structure of housing production and allocation in Korea, I argue that institutional approaches are valuable in investigating the housing market system in which political power relations among agents play more significant roles than pure market mechanisms in the (re)production of housing space.

  • Korea's housing structure is predicted that one-person housing will be the most common type of housing in Korea. Therefore, this study intends to derive contents for designing a one-person housing space considering the life of a rapidly increasing one-person householder. For this purpose, this study objectively derives the social, economic and cultural influencing factors of one-person households through big data analysis, and analyzed the correlation between contents using social network analysis methodology. In this paper, 60 core contents related to one person housing space were derived by applying big data analysis methodology. And through social network analysis, the most influential contents were derived from the space editing and space composition categories. This means that the residential space is an important part of the design idea that can flexibly respond to changes in the user's life. Based on this study, future research will focus on the concept and design methodology of one-person housing space.
