Purpose - In hotel industry, quality of leader-member exchange(LMX) relationship is very critical, because it impacts on the employee's work attitude and behaviors. Thus, this research examines the effect of LMX on employee loyalty in the context of hotel business and identifies mediating roles of work stressors, work role performance in the relationship between LMX and employee loyalty. This research suggests the guidelines for how hotel leaders should manage their employees and build employee loyalty that improve management and business performance. Research design, data, and methodology - This study tests the structural relationship between LMX, work stressors, work role performance, and employee loyalty. Work role performance divide into three sub-dimensions such as individual task proficiency, individual task adaptivity, and individual task proactivity. In order to examine the purposes of this research, research model and hypotheses were developed. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and tested in the previous studies. The data were collected from 113 franchise hotel employees and were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3 program. Result - The findings of this research are as follows. First, leader-member exchange(LMX) have significant positive impacts on work stressors, work role performance, and employee loyalty. Second, work stressors have significant negative impacts on work role performance and employee loyalty. Third, work role performance has significant positive impact on employee loyalty. Conclusions - The outcomes of this research indicate that hotel leaders should focus on the dyadic relationship with their employees how to improve employee productivity through LMX relationship. In turn, the quality of this relationship influences employees's work attitudes and behaviors. As a result of increasing job demands in hotel business which relies heavily on human resources, the hotel leader must find ways to prevent or reduce stressors and associated strains. If hotel employees perceive the high quality of LMX relationship, they improve their work role performance which influences loyalty. Therefore, the hotel leaders should develop monetary or non-monetary reward system for the employees and, make an efforts to have unique social exchange relationships with employees.

The study aims to investigate the nexus of between role identity, self-efficacy, feeling of energy, and employee creativity in the hotel industry of Korea. The employees' innovative behaviors like creativity have been many researchers' interest for decades in the hotel industry. The hypotheses depicting the relationship among the variables have been proposed based on a review of existing literature. The number of 215 cases was used for final analysis and the results were explained through structural equation modeling. The results indicate the hotel employees' role identity and creative self-efficacy positively influenced their feeling of energy. Further, both role identity and creative self-efficacy make significant impact on employee creativity. Feeling of energy also makes a positively significant impact on employee creativity. Feeling of energy partially mediates the relationship between the two independent variables and employee creativity. As a result, creative role identity, self-efficacy, and feeling of energy explain the variance of the hotel employees' creativity. The results present that hotel practitioners need to regard their employees' creative roles and build organizational culture to support creative activities so as to enhance employee creativity. Finally, theoretical and practical implications for the hotel industry and future studies have been discussed.

This paper aims to highlight the importance of employee participation in green management in hotel firms. In particular, the study examined the role of employee participation in green management on cost saving as a hotel's performance indicator. We collected data from senior and general managers in Korean and US hotels. The results of the study supported our hypotheses, showing that the employee participation had a significantly positive relationship with cost savings in hotels. The results of the study also supported other hypotheses, showing that resource conservation and green building management had positive relationships with cost savings in hotels. Therefore, it can be predicted that green management can save cost in hotel firms. Such managerial implications are discussed.
The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of brand personality and employee personality on employee brand identification. The questionnaire developed for this study was distributed to 460 employees in F&B (food and beverage) departments and kitchen of 11 deluxe hotels in Seoul. A total of 398 questionnaires were used for analysis (86.5%) and the statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win(12.0) for descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, and regression analysis. The results showed that employee brand identification was stronger at higher position, and also stronger among F&B department employees than among kitchen cooks. In addition, international hotels showed a higher level of employee brand identification than local hotels. Employee brand identification was also affected by hotel brand personality and employee personality. The dimension of 'sincerity' had the strongest effect on brand identification, followed by the dimensions of 'excitement' and 'sophistication'. Especially, when the hotel brand personality was lower than the employee personality at the dimension of 'sincerity', the level of employee brand identification was much lower. Overall, employee brand identification, which is a key factor for successful brand delivery to customer, could be enhanced through strong strategies to improve the brand personality dimensions and enhance employee development.

In order to achieve the study goal, the data were obtained from frontline employees(Rooms division, F&B division) working in the 5-star hotels. And the data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis were undertaken using SPSS(18.0). The results showed that gender, age and employment type were not significant factors to generate differences on awareness about corporate social responsibility. But the higher educated employee was likely to perceive the awareness about corporate social responsibility better. Employee's innovative behavior varied on all of gender, age, education level and employment type. Most countries have their own culture that presents different types of behaviour. The employees' specific ways of working, according to each country, influence its organisation, thus cultural differences have become an essential issue in operating management. Therefore, this study explored how the different cultures based on Hofstede's paradigm interact within the specific Korean context. This study examined how cultural related HRM practices were enacted in the Korean hotel industry, how the frameworks of Hofstede's model impact the employee outcomes, including the concept of organisational justice. This study followed a quantitative approach which relied on a positivist paradigm to evaluate the different HRM practices at hotel workplaces with the view of employees. This study contributes new findings to the research literature. The results of this study showed how Confucianism also plays a predominant role in understanding Korean culture, more than the Hofstede's original four dimensions of culture.

Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 345 employees and the data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The primary results were as follows: Multiple regression analysis showed that hotel employee physical attractiveness had a positive significant influence on self-esteem ($\beta=.504$, p<.001) and self-efficacy ($\beta=.441$, p<.001). Also, employee selfesteem ($\beta=.281$, p<.001) and self-efficacy ($\beta=.478$, p<.001) each had a positive significant influence on person-job fit. As a result of analyzing the mediating role, the effect of hotel employees' physical attractiveness on person-job fit was partially mediated by self-esteem and self-efficacy.
