With the rise of the metaverse industry worldwide, relevant national strategies and nurturing systems have been prepared in Korea. As the complexity of policies increases, the importance of establishing data-based policymkaing is growing, and studies diagnosing national R&D trends in the metaverse field are still lacking. Therefore, this paper collected NTIS national R&D information for 9,651 R&D projects promoted from 2002 to 2020. And this study looked at the current status and identified major topics based on the topic modeling, and considered time-series changes in the topics. Eleven major topics of R&D tasks in the metaverse field were derived, hot topics were service/content/platform development and medical/surgical fields of application fields, and cold topics were urban/environment/spatial information fields. Strategic R&D Management, metaverse-related laws, and institutional studies were proposed as policy directions.
As smartphone-based tourism platforms have become active, policy establishment and service enhancement using review data are being made in various fields. In the case of the preceding studies using tourism review data, most of the studies centered on domestic tourists were conducted, and in the case of foreign tourist studies, studies were conducted only on data collected in some languages and text mining techniques. In this study, 3,515 review data written by foreigners were collected by designating the "Daegu attractions" keyword through the online review site. And LDA-based topic modeling was performed to derive tourism topics. The spatial approach through global and local spatial autocorrelation analysis for each topic can be said to be different from previous studies. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that there is a global spatial autocorrelation, and that tourist destinations mainly visited by foreigners are concentrated locally. In addition, hot spots have been drawn around Jung-gu in most of the topics. Based on the analysis results, it is expected to be used as a basic research for spatial analysis based on local government foreign tourism policy establishment and topic modeling. And The limitations of this study were also presented.
Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer in females (27% of the total) and the main cause of death (16%) due to cancer in women in developed and developing countries. Variations in its incidence rate among geographical areas are due to various contributing factors. Since there have been a lack of studies on this topic in our country, the present spatial analysis of breast cancer incidence in Iran in 2009 was conducted using data from the national cancer registry system. The reported incidences of the disease were standardized according to the World Health Organization population and the direct method. Then data was inserted into the GIS software and finally, using the Hot Spot Analysis (Geties-Ord Gi), high-risk areas were drawn. Provinces with incidences 1.96 SD higher or lower than the national average were considered as hot spots or cold spots, at the significance level of 0.05%. In 2009, a total of 7,582 cases of BC occurred in Iran. The annual incidence was 33.2 per hundred thousand people. Our study showed that the highest incidence of BC in women occurred in the central provinces of the country, Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd, Markazi and Fars. The results of hot spots analysis showed that the distribution of high-risk BC was focused in central parts of Iran, especially Isfahan province (p <0.01). The other provinces were not significantly different from the national average. The higher incidence in central provinces may be due to greater exposure to carcinogens in urban areas, a Western lifestyle and high prevalence of other risk factors. Further epidemiological studies about the etiology and early detection of BC are essential.

Analysis of existing kettle and its heating system has been the topic for localization technology development. Test pieces are made, polished and etched for existing kettle analysis. Surface of test pieces is observed using SEM, the kettle is verified to be made by deep drawing process from Ferrite-Perlite material. The kettle is also identified to be plated $16{\sim}49{\mu}m$ of thickness with Nickel(16%). Also heat transfer characteristics based on hot wire arrangement is investigated and optimal hot wire system is developed. Developed control system detects overheating and stops the whole system on the long operating time. Developed kettle takes the performance evaluation test for volume expansion and satisfied for standard 'KS G3602'.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research status and trends related to the industrial mathematics based on text mining techniques with a sample of 4910 papers collected in the SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics from 1970 to 2019. The R program was used to collect titles, abstracts, and key words from the papers and to analyze topic modeling techniques based on LDA algorithm. As a result of the coherence score on the collected papers, 20 topics were determined optimally using the Gibbs sampling methods. The main results were as follows. First, studies on industrial mathematics were conducted in a variety of mathematics fields, including computational mathematics, geometry, mathematical modeling, topology, discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, with a focus on analysis and algebra. Second, 5 hot topics (mathematical biology, nonlinear partial differential equation, discrete mathematics, statistics, topology) and 1 cold topic (probability theory) were found based on time series regression analysis. Third, among the fields that were not reflected in the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum, numeral system, matrix, vector in space, and complex numbers were extracted as the contents to be covered in the high school mathematical curriculum. Finally, this study suggested strategies to activate industrial mathematics in Korea, described the study limitations, and proposed directions for future research.

Precision agriculture relies on information technology, whose precondition is providing real-time and accurate information. It depends on various kinds of advanced sensors, such as environmental temperature and humidity, wind speed, light intensity, and other types of sensors. Currently, it is a hot topic how to collect accurate information, the main raw data for agricultural experts, monitored by these sensors timely. Most existing work in WSNs addresses their fundamental challenges, including power supply, limited memory, processing power and communication bandwidth and focuses entirely on their operating system and networking protocol design and implementation. However, it is not easy to find the self-localization capability of wireless sensor networks. Because of constraints on the cost and size of sensors, energy consumption, implementation environment and the deployment of sensors, most sensors do not know their locations. This paper provides maximum likelihood estimators for sensor location estimation when observations are time-of arrival (TOA) range measurement.
Recently, the idea of the smart grid has been gaining significant attention and has become a hot research topic. The purpose of this paper is to present a novel smart grid management scheme that uses game theory principles. In our proposed scheme, power appliances in the smart grid adaptively form groups according to the non-cooperative hedonic game model. By exploiting multi-appliance diversity, appliances in each group are dynamically scheduled in a cooperative manner. For efficient smart grid management, the proposed coopetition game approach is dynamic and flexible to adaptively respond to current system conditions. The main feature is to maximize the overall system performance while satisfying the requirements of individual appliances. Simulation results indicate that our proposed scheme achieves higher energy efficiency and better system performance than other existing schemes.
Xenotransplantation is a hot topic currently, since the demand for diverse organs is increasing in patients. Among many species, pigs are suitable animals for xenotranplantation as they share many anatomical and physiological characteristics with humans. This review article provides an overview of porcine xenotransplantation and the rejection of pig xenotransplants in primates, and use of genetically modified and cloned pigs in xenotransplantation. It also highlights major target organs in porcine xenotransplantation and virus infection in xenotransplantation.

Information literacy has been defined as "the ability to access, evaluate, and use information from a variety of sources." Recently, information literacy has become a hot topic in Korean education circles and school library fields, but few publications describe how to assess information literacy skills. This study is the first stage to develop a measurable assessment tool of the information literacy skills of korean high school students. In this paper, related projects, curricular models, and rubrics are reviewed and an assessment tool is suggested. This tool will be field-tested and revised on the results in the near future.
How to promote creativity for all students in mathematics education is always a hot topic for mathematics educators. Based on the theory study and practice in the project "Open-ended Questions in Mathematics" granted by Ministry of Basic Education Curriculum Study Center in China, the paper reported the effect of "Open-ended Questions in Mathematics" on the way to change the development of thinking ability, to inspire students to develop thinking flexibility, to expand their imagination, to stimulate their interest in learning, and to foster students' creativity.
