Designing of a hierarchical clustering algorithm is one of the numerous approaches to minimize the energy consumption of the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). In this paper, a homogeneous and randomly deployed sensor nodes is considered. These sensors are energy constrained elements. The nominal selection of the Cluster Head (CH) which falls under the clustering part of the network protocol is studied and compared to Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol. CHs in this proposed process is the function of total remaining energy of each node as well as total average energy of the whole arrangement. The algorithm considers initial energy, optimum value of cluster heads to elect the next group of cluster heads for the network as well as residual energy. Total remaining energy of each node is compared to total average energy of the system and if the result is positive, these nodes are eligible to become CH in the very next round. Analysis and numerical simulations quantify the efficiency and Average Energy Ratio (AER) of the proposed system.
A homogeneous and stoichimetric fine powder of the ferroelectric $Pb_[0.97}La_{0.02}(Zr_{0.64}Sn_{0.25}Ti_{0.11})O_3$ (PLZST) has been prepared by the hydroxide coprecipitation method. Studies on the crystallization behavior of precursor as a function of temperature by X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy technique were consistent with the formation of the pyrochlore phase from amorphous, initially at low temperatures around 500~$550^{\circ}C$. Further heat treatment up to $750^{\circ}C$ resulted in development of the perovskite phase with no significant pyrochlore crystallite growth. At intermediate temperatures the precursor yields a fine mixture of pyrochlore and perovskite phases. When the pyrochlore phase was heat teated in air, slight weight increase was observed in the temperature range of 300~$700^{\circ}C$, which is thought to be caused from oxygen absorption. In argon atmosphere, weight increase was not observed. On the other hand, weight loss began to occur near $700^{\circ}C$, with giving off mostly CO2 gas. This implies that the pyrochlore phase seems to be crystallorgraphycally and thermodynamically metastable. An apparent activation energy of 53.9 ㎉/mol was estimated for the pyrochlore-perovskite phase transformation.
A deterministic approach of slope stability, which is generally corresponding to the model of a simple non-linear function for slopes, is problematic in that it does not account the versatile characteristics of ground layers in an effective way. To resolve this problem, this study proposes a new way of analyzing slope stability, so-called “genetic algorithm method, ” so as to reflect some particular conditions pertaining to the grounds under concern. Similarities and differences in slope stability that may exist between homogeneous and multiple ground layers are examined in a competitive manner, Overall, though similarities deemed a little bit salient, the algorithm method turned out to be very applicable to estimating the validity of slope stability. Furthermore, an additional effort to consider long-standing sequential and dynamic changes in both the amount of rainfall and the underground water level is made in order to improve the results.
Finite failure NHPP models presented in the literature exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. Accurate predictions of software release times, and estimation of the reliability and availability of a software product require quantification of a critical element of the software testing process : test coverage. This model called Enhanced non-homogeneous poission process (ENHPP). In this paper, exponential coverage and S-shaped model was reviewed, proposes the superposition model, which maked out efficiency application for software reliability. Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method, model selection based on SSE statistics for the sake of efficient model, was employed.

When a slow-moving vehicle occupies one of the lanes of a multi-lane highway, it often causes queuing behind, unlike one is caused by an actual stoppage on that lane. This happens when the traffic flow rate upstream from the slow vehicle exceeds a certain critical value. This phenomena is called as the Moving Bottleneck, defined by Gazis and Herman (1992), Newell (1998) [3], and Munoz and Daganzo (2002), who conducted the flow estimates of upstream and downstream and considered slow-moving vehicle speed and the flow ratio exceeding slow vehicle and the microscopic traffic flow characteristics of moving bottleneck. But, a study of delay on moving bottleneck was not conducted until now. So this study provides a average delay time model related to upstream flow and the speed of slow vehicle. We have chosen the two-lane highway and homogeneous traffic flow. A slow-moving vehicle occupies one of the two lanes. Average delay time value is a result of AIMSUN[9], the microscopic traffic flow simulator. We developed a multiple regression model based on that value. Average delay time has a high value when the speed of slow vehicle is decreased and traffic flow is increased. Conclusively, the model is formulated by the negative exponential function.
The fatigue damage accumulation rates of horizontally curved thin walled box-girder bridge have been estimated from vehicle-induced dynamic stress history using rain flow cycle counting method in the time domain approach. The curved box-girder bridge has been numerically modeled using computationally efficient thin walled box-beam finite elements, which take into account the important structural actions like torsional warping, distortion and distortional warping in addition to the conventional displacement and rotational degrees of freedom. Vehicle model includes heave-pitch-roll degrees of freedom with longitudinal and transverse input to the wheels. The bridge deck unevenness, which is taken as inputs to the vehicle wheels, has been assumed to be a realization of homogeneous random process specified by a power spectral density (PSD) function. The linear damage accumulation theory has been applied to calculate fatigue life. The fatigue life estimated by cycle counting method in time domain has been compared with those found by estimating the PSD of response in frequency domain. The frequency domain method uses an analytical expression involving spectral moment characteristics of stress process. The effects of some of the important parameters on fatigue life of the curved box bridge have been studied.
In this paper, post-buckling behavior of sandwich plates with functionally graded (FG) face sheets under uniform temperature rise loading is examined based on both sinusoidal shear deformation theory and stress function. It is supposed that the sandwich plate is in contact with an elastic foundation during deformation, which acts in both compression and tension. Thermo-elastic non-homogeneous properties of FG layers change smoothly by the variation of power law within the thickness, and temperature dependency of material constituents is considered in the formulation. In the present development, Von Karman nonlinearity and initial geometrical imperfection of sandwich plate are also taken into account. By employing Galerkin method, analytical solutions of thermal buckling and post-buckling equilibrium paths for simply supported plates are determined. Numerical examples presented in the present study discuss the effects of gradient index, sandwich plate geometry, geometrical imperfection, temperature dependency, and the elastic foundation parameters.
To solve the seismic response problem of a vertical floating roof tank with base isolation, the floating roof is assumed to experience homogeneous rigid circular plate vibration, where the wave height of the vibration is linearly distributed along the radius, starting from the theory of fluid velocity potential; the potential function of the liquid movement and the corresponding theoretical expression of the base shear, overturning the moment, are then established. According to the equivalent principle of the shear and moment, a simplified mechanical model of a base isolation tank with a swinging effect is established, along with a motion equation of a vertical storage tank isolation system that considers the swinging effect based on the energy principle. At the same time, taking a 150,000 m 3 large-scale storage tank as an example, a numerical analysis of the dampening effect was conducted using a vibration mode decomposition response spectrum method, and a comparative analysis with a simplified mechanical model with no swinging effect was applied.
A method is developed for the separation of the major base flow in a river hydrograph combining the numerical techniques and the empirical methods. The linearized Boussinesq equation and the storage function are used to obtain the base flow recession. The shape of base flow curve made by the recharge of the groundwater table aquifer resulting from rainfall in determined by the Singh and Stall's graphical method, and the continuous from for the curve is approximated by the multiple and polynomial regression. this procedure was successfully tested for the separation of base flow and the establishment of hydrograph in a natural watershed. It was found that the direct numerical method applied to the homogeneous linear second order ordinary differential equation system is not suited to obtain the recession curve, and the case that the loss is generated in the partially penetrating stream can not be solved by the method of this study.

Understanding of the detailed reaction mechanisms during MOVPE and ALE is essential to further improve the properties of the grown crystals and the controllability of the growth parameters. The unified models for the detailed reaction paths are not available at this stage. The study, however, has been advanced to the extent that consensus on some of the reaction paths can be drawn from the scattered data. Metalakyls such as TMGa and TMIn seem to nearly fully decompose in the gas phase through homogeneous reaction at the typical MOVPE growth temperature. Hydrides such as AsH3 and PH3, on the contrary. seem to decompose heterogeneously onthe substrate surfaces as well as homogeneously in the gas phase. However, at lower temperatures, where ALE crystals are typically grown, the growth process is strongly dependent on the surface reactions. It seems that steric hindrance effects which the radicals reaching the substrate exhibit on the surface the growth rate a function of the metalalkyle supply durations. In addition, dydrogens released from hydrides seem to play an essential role in removing carbons leberated from the metalalkyls. High growth temperatures also seem to be effective in desorbing carbons from surface. The understanding of the reaction mechanisms was possible though diverse appraaches utilizing many ex-situ and in-situ diagnostic techniques and genuine experimental designs. It is the purpose of this paper to review and discuss many of these efforts and to draw some possible conclusions from them.
