Fingerprinting기법을 이용한 실내 위치측위시스템 (Indoor Positioning System Using Fingerprinting Technique)

  • 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 라는 시대적 흐름에 따라 상황(Context)을 고려한 응용 서비스들에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 서비스들은 대부분 사용자의 현재 위치 정보를 기반으로 하는 위치 기반 서비스(LBS : Location Based Service)의 형태를 띠고 있다. 현재 GPS(Global Positioning System)나 지상파를 이용한 위치 측정 방법이 널리 사용되고 있으며 보다 효율적이고 정확한 위치 측정을 위한 많은 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 최근에는 실외를 대상으로 하는 서비스뿐만 아니라 홈 서비스, 대형 건물 안내 서비스와 같은 실내를 중심으로 하는 서비스가 각광을 받고 있다. 실외 위치 측정 분야의 경우 이미 많은 상용 제품들이 출시되어 사용되고 있지만 상대적으로 실내의 위치를 알아내는 방법에 있어서는 이렇다 할 성과를 내지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 현재 널리 쓰이고 있는 무선 통신 방법 중 하나인 무선랜을 이용한 실내 위치 측위 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 지금까지 연구되어져 온 대표적인 두 가지 실내 위치 측위 방법론과 이들에 대한 장단점을 분석하고 실제 구축된 시스템을 사례로 구체적인 시스템 구축 방법 및 실험 결과를 제시하였다 또한 기존 시스템의 위치 정확도를 향상시키고 연산 속도를 개선시키기 위한 몇 가지 새로운 방안을 제시하였다.

  • Applying evolved IT technology to increase the satisfaction of the consumer is a typical feature of the rapidly transformed service industry. Smart devices have taken a place as the mainstream of major media, moreover, IT service strategies utilizing smart devices have been constantly developed. Location recognition method of users has been proposed as one of the significant features to the IT service industry. The long-term care home services can be one example of user location recognition methods that real time computerization of service record utilize an attached tag to home of pensioners with RFID reader or an NFC function of mobile when a home carer provides service. And, the Homecare Electronics Management System (HEMS) and the various location recognition methods will be discussed to improve effectiveness of services. In this paper, we propose a home applicable electronic management system which insurer, home care service facilities, home cares, pensioners and guardians which enables to simultaneously check service records based on the improved system by use of iBeacon.

다차원척도법을 이용한 여성기성복 상표 포지셔닝 연구 (A Study on Development of Brand Positioning Map for Ladies' Ready-to-Wear Utilizing Multidimensional Scaling Method)

  • The purpose of the study was to develope brand positioning map for ladies' ready-to-wear, to find out evaluative criteria in perception and preference to brands, and to persent the relationship between consumer's characteristics and brand preference. Subjects were selected for the housewives of middle and high socioeconomic classes living in Seoul area. A questionnaire including items of life style, self image, similarity between brands, preference degree to brands, and demographic variables was developed for the empirical study. The questionnaire was administrated to 137 housewives during fall in 1989. Data were analyzed by cluster analysis and multidimensional scaling method. The study had two research problems. The first research problem was to construct a brand perceptual map for ladies' ready-to-wear brands, selected for the study The perceptual map was constructed on the basis of brand similarity scores by multidimensional scaling method. As a result, brands were grouped into 4 clusters, and evaluative criteria for perceptual map were found to be fashionability (classic- fashionable) and familiarity (familiar-unfamiliar). The second problem was to construct a brand preference map for ladies' ready-to-wear brands, selected for the study. The preference map was constructed on the basis of brand preference scores by multidimensional scaling method. As a result, the brands were grouped into 4 clusters and evaluative critiera for preference map were found to be fashionability (unfashionable-fashionable) and image to age (mature-young directed). Also was shown the relationship among self image, age, socioeconomic class, and brand preference. The multidimensional scaling method was found to be useful as well as valid instrument for brand positioning research and the result can be utilized for establishing strategies for ladies' ready-to-wear brands.

Correction of Coordinate Discontinuities Caused by GPS Antenna Replacements

  • Antennas at permanent GPS stations operated by the former Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs (MOGAHA) in Korea were replaced in years 2008 and 2009, and these changes caused abrupt discontinuities in precise coordinate time series. In this study, an algorithm that eliminates those breaks was developed based on 15-year-long coordinate time series for the purpose of creating clean and continuous coordinate time series. The newly developed algorithm to correct for sudden jumps and dips in the GPS time series due to the antenna change was designed to consider all the linear and annual signals observed before and after the event. The accuracy of the new algorithm was confirmed to be at the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) level of 2.3-2.6 mm. The new algorithm was also found to be capable of reflect site-specific characteristics at each station.

  • Mobile phone GPS positioning system is a function we often use, which can make user locate his own position all time. But due to lots of inconvenience brought to us by some error existing in mobile phone positioning system, how to accurately position becomes a hot research topic at home and abroad. This paper puts forward a way of precise calculating position. Firstly, take object's image with mobile phone camera; then, process the image to extract and identify object inside; finally, calculate the distance between the object and user with the object's information stored in the database.

Home range and movement of juvenile black-faced spoonbill Platalea minor in South Korea

  • This study was conducted to clarify the size of the home range and movement distance of juvenile black-faced spoonbills from post-fledging until fall migration using a Global Positioning System (GPS)-wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA)-based telemetry system along the west coast of South Korea. The home range of juvenile black-faced spoonbills (n = 3) was $45.2km^2$ in size and the core area consisted of $8.4km^2$ within the Baeksu mudflat, Yeonggwang, South Jeolla Province, South Korea. Mean weekly movement distances were not significantly different (Kruskal-Wallis test, Z = 3.47, P = 0.18) among individuals, ranging from 0.1 to 23.9 km during the study period. The home range and movement of juvenile black-faced spoonbills were related to intertidal areas, especially to their use as feeding areas.

Global Positioning System (GPS) and Blue-tooth, HomeRF, and Wireless-LNA system are just a few of RF-module candidate awaiting integration into next generation mobile phone. Motivated by the growing needs for lowcost and multi-band/multi-function single chip wireless transceivers, CMOS technology has been recognized as a most promising candidate for the implementation of the future wireless communication systems. This paper presents recent developments in RF CMOS technology so far, much of them have been developed in ETRI, and from them forecasts technology trends in the near future.

  • 현재 안심 귀가 서비스는 주로 여성, 자녀, 택시를 대상으로 하지만 단체를 위한 귀가 서비스는 존재하지 않는다. 현재 서비스되고 있는 안심 귀가 어플들은 1:1이며 이 경우 인원수만큼 연락을 해야 하는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이동하기 전 그룹을 설정하여 사람들의 귀가 여부, 집까지 소요시간, 이동 수단 정보를 알 수 있고 목적지에 도착하지 않았을 때 그룹원들에게 알림을 줌으로써 범죄의 가능성을 줄이고 안전하게 귀가하는 서비스를 제안하고자 한다.
