A Study on the Type and the Interior Design of Mezzanine Unit Plan for Home Office (홈 오피스를 위한 단위공간의 운형과 복층 실내계획에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the unit plan for home office which can substitute the existing unvaried unit plan in housing and homogeneous working space in office building through the recognition of necessity and possibility about whether home-basedworkandhomeofficecanbeformedornot. Based on the above contents of a research, the following conclusions were summarized; 1. The unit plan of home office was divided into 'jointly-used type' and 'independent-separated type' in accordance with the relationship between housing and working space, 'dwelling-emphasis type' and 'working-emphasis type' in accordance with the grade of ranks between housing and working space. And the universal validity which could accept properly the dweller's characteristics was drawn by the above classification of unit types. 2. The required characteristics in a unit plan for home office were classified into flexibility, privacy, efficiency, identity, amenity. And the analyzing system of planning methodology was assigned according to dividing interior components into space-functional, space-designing interior facts. The planning methodology would have to be considered on the correlation with each required characteristic. As a result of the study, through a planning of independent-separated type, In especial, 'vertical-separated type', it was certificated that vertical-separated type could satisfy a variety of required characteristic in space-designing as well as space-functional aspect.

A Study on the Work Environment and Location of Family-owned Small Business (소규모 가족기업 소유자의 사업장 위치와 근무환경에 관한 연구)

  • According to recent statistics, the number of family-owned small business have increased. And these growing numbers have created an urgent need for researchers and government to analyse and plan for this population. The purposes of this study were to identify the determining factors of the location of family owned small business and to analyze the factors related to their job satisfaction, and life satisfaction. The data used for this study, were 713 self-employed men and women which were elected from the panel data of 1998 MIPS of Daewoo Economic Research Institute. Statistics performed for the analysis were frequencies, percentiles, t-test, $\varkappa$$^2$, OLS and Logistic analysis. It was found that the person who work at home-base small office were the residents of smaller city, and are older than the office-going attendants. The variable which effects the job satisfaction of the home-based workers was the educational background. And sex was the only factor which affects the job satisfaction of the office-going attendants. It was also found that job satisfaction affects the life satisfaction significantly in both group.

  • Due to the information technology improvement and the changing life style, a home is getting a new role of workspace besides the main function as rest area for the family members. Therefore, a demand for the home workstation furniture is increasing nowadays. In this study, three types of workstation furniture id designed, that makes possible the effective works and reflects the characteristics of the house. 1. Panel-based system furniture : main concept is flexibility and expandability, and various units can be composed as desired. 2. Cabinet-type workstation : all functions needed for the home office work is concentrated in a piece of furniture. 3. Movable multi-purpose furniture : small-sized, mobile furniture that functions as a simple workstation or a side station. Home office has a great possibility as a work place for the future, and there is a continuous need for the furniture design with diverse form and function.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate(1) the relationship of SOHO and familiy life, (2) the relationship of SOHO and household work time. The samples are composed of 35 married men and 15 married women, who are participating in SOHO. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows. (1) The household work time of the married women was influenced by age, number of children under 6, employment status of the spouse. (2) The household work time of the married men was influenced by number of children, age, number of children under 6.

  • Water quality sampling surveys and continuous measurement of flow were conducted to identify wastewater flow characteristics for representative catchment of O and M treatment basins in A city. For HS-1 station representing commercial area, wastewater flow rises in the beginning of office-working hours, moves up and down within narrow range, and lasts till office-leaving hour, and falls gradually reflecting worker's returning home. However, in HS-2 station representing residential area, wastewater flow has two peaks, which are before office-going hour and after office-leaving hour. In residential area, the flow rate of weekends is higher than that of weekdays because it reflects population, being not contributed to generate wastewater during the working hours of weekdays, stay home and produce wastewater for weekends period. To determine the priority for rehabilitation of sewer system, infiltration rate was computed by dividing infiltration flow by mean diameter and total length of sewer, and HS-1 station ranked the first.

Public Service Facilities and Programs of District (Dong) Office as a Community Center (커뮤니티센터 모델 개발을 위한 동사무소 시솔 및 프로그램 분석)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the service facilities and activity programs of district(Dong) office so as to develope a model of a service integrated community center Various research methods were used for this study: Field research and interviews with the managers have been done in four offices during July and August, 2000. The facilities and programs of twenty district((Dong) offices were analyzed and ninety visitors of two district(Dong) offices were surveyed. The results showed that most visitors crime to the district(Dong) office for administrative services associated with the registration for citizenships. Visitors of district(Dong) office with activity programs were more Likely to factor to the service integrated community center than were those without. The size and kinds of facilities among district(Dong) office centers were varied and contrained by the size of the building but the activity programs were very similar and mainly arts and crafts, sports, music, and health for young housewives. Several implications from the results were suggested to the model of a service integrated community center.

A Survey on the Job Stress of Home Care Nurses (가정전문간호사의 업무 스트레스)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the job stress in home care nurses. Method: The subjects were 139 home care nurses of hospital in an urban cities. The data were collected from 26 Man to 27 June by self report adherence questionnaire. Job stress was measured using CHN-PWRSQ(Community Health Nurses Perceptions of Work-Related Stressors Questionnaire). Result: The average score of job stress was 60.8. There were significantly high levels of job stress in those who have less than 10 years office period, those who have less than 2000000 won monthly salary than in their counterparts. With regard to the level of job stress by item, 'driving long distance and traffic jam', 'risk of traffic accident', 'bad weather condition', 'uncooperative family members', and 'uncooperative client/patient' were higher than other items. The age and office period were negatively correlated with job stress. Conclusion: The average score of job stress was 60.8. The Effect of the Organizational Culture of TV Home Shopping Companies on Job Satisfaction, Commitment, and Intention of Turnover (TV 홈쇼핑업체의 조직문화가 직무만족, 몰입 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzes how the organizational culture of TV home shopping companies influence the job satisfaction, commitment, and intention of turnover. It ascertains the differences the job satisfaction, commitment, and intention of turnover according to tenure of office and turnover time. The survey was conducted from May $3^{rd}$ to $31^{rt}$ in 2010, and 356 responses were used in the data analysis. The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a result, the organizational culture of TV home shopping companies was classified by the innovation culture, group culture, rational culture, and hierarchical culture. The innovation culture, group culture, and hierarchical culture of TV home shopping companies influenced job satisfaction and commitment. The rational culture and hierarchical culture of TV home shopping companies influenced the intention of turnover. There were differences in the intention of turnover according to the tenure of office and the job commitment according to turnover time.

  • Recently, much attention is paid on the office design be-cause the real world of work has undergone substantial changes, in both spatial and temporal aspects, due to the in-troduction of data processing technologies and new types of production. Today's renewed objectives of office are to define new physical space for work, to deal with economic and organizational changes. In the period of information, the purpose of an office is to improve the productivity for employers employees the comfort and vitality. Today's intellecture resources are necessary for the development in the modern business. The Hypid office, as an alternative in order to correspond the rapid changes, is proposed to give the space for satisfy-ing the basic desires of a human being-eating, resting and working. Accompanying with flexibility and comfortability, this office should include the space for personal purpose and the space for social purpose. Applying the concept of comfort like at home leads to re-lease a worker's stress from the society of information. The future office which is to enhance the quality of culture by in-tegrating indivisual, domestic and social life should commu-nicate efficiency, movement, energy, transformation.
