Design and Implementation of a Smart Home Cloud Control System Using Bridge based on IoT (IoT 기반의 브리지를 이용한 스마트 홈 클라우드 제어 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Recently, in response to the Internet age, the demand for hardware devices has been increasing, centering on the rapidly growing smart home field, due to the growth and management of sensor and control technology, mobile application, network traffic, big data management and cloud computing. In order to maintain the sustainable development of the hardware system, it is necessary to update the system, and the hardware device is absolutely necessary in real time processing of complex data (voice, image, etc.) as well as data collection. In this paper, we propose a method to simplify the control and communication method by integrating the hardware devices in two operating systems in a unified structure to solve the simultaneous control and communication method of hardware under different operating systems. The performance evaluation results of the proposed integrated hardware and the cloud control system connected to the cloud server are described and the main directions to be studied in the field of internet smart home are described.

  • As the mobile industry has developed, people have become to pursue more delicate information exchange and close relationships between individuals through it. According to such a request, Social Networking Services have been activated based on short messages. Moreover, in combination with smart phones, the needs for adding location information is recently increasing more and more. Security and Privacy problems, however, are raised because such location information is so sensitive and may be used maliciously by someone else. Especially, storing location information of family members in a public server may become a negative factor to hinder people from utilizing such services. Therefore, this paper proposes a location based SNS service using smart phones for home community that runs on a home server in a house so that relationships between family members at home may be closer and improved through utilizing the service.

AMI System Using Smart Electricity Meter Embedded with Home Concentrate Unit (세대집중화장치를 포함하는 스마트 전력량계를 이용한 AMI 시스템)

  • In this paper, a system that integrates a home concentrate unit(HCU) in a smart electricity meter to collects water, gas, hot water, and heating usage required for AMI has been proposed. The collected data could be transmitted to the in house display(IHD) and server to provide a more economical AMI system. The developed system is less expensive in the network configuration than the existing system, which could reduce the operating cost, and be easy to install. By applying the developed system, the usage of electricity, water, gas, hot water and heating could be measured and these make it easier to apply AMI system. The main contents of the development are the smart electricity meter and embedding of HCU into the smart electricity meter, and transferring these data to IHD and server to structure the AMI system. The each developed unit has been networked to structure the AMI system to perform the actual meter reading operation and show the result.

  • Home network system makes it available for controlling inside home and for controlling from outside as well with personal computer, cellular phone or smart phone, by connecting diverse information equipments within home such as lighting, gas, and heating equipments with network. Integrated server and wall-pad, which form home network system, have demerits as saying of being high-priced and of needing to implement network infrastructure. This study suggested the intelligent home network system, which uses smart phone of supplementing these merits of home network system. It substituted high-specification input & output equipment in the currently and widely supplied smart phone for display and touch screen, which are user interface part of the existing wall-pad, and implemented the common wall-pad with low cost by concentrating management and control function of home network on smart phone.

  • These days many DLNA home media network services start in home network area. DLNA networking softwares included in DLNA media devices contains all of server, renderer and controller functions. But a home media device in home media network environment not uses all of DLNA functions but uses only limited functions. Using all of integrated DLNA functions wastes networking and processing resources especially in home media network, because a home media device uses very limited functions. For example, a smart-TV has a main role of playback and a network attached storage has a main role of media content storage. In this paper, we analyze integrated DLNA networking softwares and design DLNA software models representing each home media device so as to utilize device resources efficiently. And we implement DLNA softwares for smart-TV and smart-phone and test resource efficiency.

  • In this paper, we define that pervasive home network, which provides necessary services for user properties and removes distractions to improve the quality of human life. So, user can enjoy home network technology including devices and softwares at any place with no knowledge of networked home, devices, and softwares. In this home network, a mobile agent, called LAFA, can migrate to unfamiliar home network and control the necessary devices. For this environment, we design security management module for authenticating user and home server that access some other home networks, and for protecting text, multimedia data, and mobile agent that are transferred between home networks. The security management module is composed of a key exchange management module and an access control management module, for key exchange management module, we propose a key exchange protocol, which provides multimode of authentication mode and key exchange mode. One of these two modes is selected according to the data type.

  • By the development of IT, most business has been processed on the IT solution-based servers has increased Therefore, the importance of security of the server is highlighted. And the need for password management server efficient and safe is raised. There is a need to change at least 8 characters to mix the numbers and letters and password change passwords on a regular basis, you need a password for each system account is set in a different way, but the continuation of the system there is a tendency to password problems occur problems caused by the limits of the introduction of human resources and introduction basis occurs. The password management feature, though it is expensive is partially providing integrated access control solutions at home and abroad, there is a drawback that stresses the traffic on the server. Future, we conducted a study of password management solutions for the server of the server is determined IT transformation trend of non-IT field to accelerate, is continuously increasing it accordingly.

  • The wireless sensor network (WSN) based ECG and body temperature measuring system for ubiquitous health-care were designed and developed. The system was composed of a wireless sensor network node, base station and server computer for the continuous monitoring of ECG signals and body temperatures of patients at home or hospital. ECG signal and body temperature data, important vital signals which are commonly used in clinical and trauma care, were displayed on a graphical user interface (GUI). The data transfer from sensor nodes on patients' body to server computer was accomplished through a base-station connected to a server computer using Zigbee compatible IEEE802.15.4 standard wireless communication. Real-time as well as historical, ECG data of elderly persons or patients, can also be retrieved and played back to assist the diagnosis. The ubiquitous health care system presented in this study can effectively reduce social medical expenses, which will be increased greatly in the coming aging society.

  • Recently most of the home and small-size company use ADSL(Asymmetric Digital subscriber Line) or Cable Modem for using Internet Services. The number of Internet IP Address in current Internet IP Address System(IPv4) that is consisted of 4byte is almost empty, so generally the IP Address assigned dynamically is used. This way is just OK in general uses, but not OK in Internet Servers operation. This paper designed the gateway(Gate-D) system which is enable any system that get IP Address assigned dynamically to serve Internet Server Services(Telnet, FTP, HTTP, Mail, etc …), and made sure the worth by using Telnet Server.

  • Recently, the study on the design of NCS(Network Control System) using Ethernet is being rapidly progressed. NCS can be extensively applied in manufacturing automation, office automation, home automation, remote control and ect. A merit of NCS on based Ethernet is to make good use of advanced Internet environment and to apply a application of abundant TCP/IP upper layer to NCS. The purpose of this paper is to control a speed of DC-motor using NCS on based Ethernet. The control system is divided into a server part and a client part. A server transfers a value of reference speed of a DC-motor. A client receives a output signal of DC-motor and a reference input obtained from the server. A client computes a error of two signals and then makes a control input. The control input is transferred to a actuator In this pater, A controller uses a classical control using a general feedback. In this paper, a viewpoint is to compare performance of NCS with performance of a classical control and to analyze the cause of that.
