  • We have implement indoor positioning system to supply orientation information, We have used ultrasound in indoor positioning system for distance and orientation measurements, then propose a set of methods to calculate orientation from an array of well placed ultrasonic sensors operating in the indoor positioning system, We have design and implement a indoor positioning system using a combination of hardware and software and demonstrate end-to-end functionality of the system, We have implement ZigBee based home automation system using location-aware System.

6-자유도 Eclipse-II 모션 시뮬레이터의 최적 원점 복귀 알고리즘 (Optimal Home Positioning Algorithm for a 6-DOF Eclipse-II Motion Simulator)

  • This paper describes the optimal home positioning algorithm of Eclipse-II, a new conceptual parallel mechanism for motion simulator. Eclipse-II is capable of translation and 360 degrees continuous rotation in all directions. In unexpected situations such as emergency stop, riders have to be resituated as soon as possible through a shortest translational and rotational path because the return paths are not unique in view of inverse kinematic solution. Eclipse-II is man riding. Therefore, the home positioning is directly related to the safety of riders. To ensure a least elapsed time, ZYX Euler angle inverse kinematics is applied to find an optimal home orientation. In addition, the subsequent decrease of maximum acceleration and jerk values is achieved by combining the optimal return path function with cubic spline, which consequently reduces delivery force and vibration to riders.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify brand loyally of women's wear and construct brand positioning maps by using multidimensional scaling(MDS). There were significant differences between brand loyal and indifferent group in ages, income, occupation status and level of education. Significant differences were found between groups in the degree of importance of attributes (design/color, fashion, quality, store image, salesperson's attitude and brand reputation) when evaluating brands. The positioning maps upon the similarity and preference of brand image were composed by use of MDS.

  • It is discussed how to determine the home location of idle vehicles in an AGVS with a loop guide path in a way of maximizing the request-call response probabilities for all demand. Optimal home position is selected by solving the simultaneous equations easily. Static positioning strategy is analyzed in which a single home position is allocated to which every vehicle is routed whenever it becomes idle. The cases of unidirectional guidepath is considered only. We provide a numerical example to illustrate the search algorithm developed for the case and compare the searched optimal solutions with the others.

  • This paper describes the ubiquitous home network (uHome-net) testbed and LonRF intelligent devices based on LonWorks technology. These devices consist of Neuron Chip, RF transceiver, sensor, and other peripheral components. Using LonRF devices, a home control network can be simplified and most devices can be operated on LonWorks control network. Also, Indoor Positioning System (IPS) that can serve various location based services was implemented in uHome-net. Smart Badge of IPS, that is a special LonRF device, can measure the 3D location of objects in the indoor environment. In the uHome-net testbed, remote control service, cooking help service, wireless remote metering service, baby monitoring service and security & fire prevention service were realized. This research shows the vision of the ubiquitous home network that will be emerged in the near future.

  • If we are to realize the everyday benefits promised by pervasive computing and context-aware applications, we must first develop the infrastructure to provide contextual location and orientation information through pervasive computing elements. We have implement indoor positioning system to supply orientation information. We have used ultrasound in indoor positioning system for distance and orientation measurements, then propose a set of methods to calculate orientation from an array of well placed ultrasonic sensors operating in the indoor positioning system. 가정용 로봇의 피드백 움직임과 접근-회피 행동에 따른 사용자 경험 연구: 작업 수행 상황을 중심으로 (A Study of User Experience Based on Feedback Positioning of Home Robots and Approach-Avoidance Behaviors: Focused on the Context of Tasks)

  • 팬데믹으로 인해 생활의 중심이 집으로 이동함에 따라 집을 다양한 활동에 최적화된 공간으로 만들어줄 수 있는 가정용 로봇의 개발이 활발하다. 이 연구는 로봇이 작업을 수행하는 상황에 따라 피드백을 하기 위한 접근 또는 회피 움직임이 사용자 경험에 미치는 효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 작업 수행 상황과 움직임 조건에 따라 6가지 시나리오를 구성하여, 각 조건에 따른 호감도, 인지된 지능, 친밀감, 부정적 태도, 행동 예측가능성을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 작업 수행 상황에서는 인지된 지능과 친밀감, 행동 예측가능성에서 주효과가 나타났고, 움직임 조건에서는 호감도, 인지된 지능, 친밀감에서 주효과가 나타났다. 상호작용 효과는 호감도와 인지된 지능에서만 나타났다. 결론적으로 로봇의 움직임에도 접근-회피 경험을 적용할 수 있고, 회피에 따른 부정적 효과를 확인할 수 있었다.

유비쿼터스 홈네트워크를 위한 LonRF 디바이스 기반의 센서 네트워크 설계 및 응용 (Design and Application of a LonRF Device based Sensor Network for an Ubiquitous Home Network)

  • 유비쿼터스 홈네트워크 ( uHome-net) 구현을 위해서는 다양한 센서들이 통합된 유무선 센서 네트워크에 연결될 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문은 제어 네트워크에 널리 사용되고 있는 LonWorks 기술을 uHome-net의 유무선 센서 네트워크에 적용한 사례를 소개하고, LonTalk 프로토콜이 탑재된 뉴런칩, 433.92MHz RF 트랜시버, 센서와 응용 프로그램으로 구성되는 LonRF 디바이스의 설계 및 응용 서비스 구현 결과를 설명한다. LonRF 디바이스의 응용 예로 실내에서 물체의 3차원 좌표를 측정할 수 있고 uHome-net과 연동되는 LonRF 스마트배지를 개발하였다. LonRF 디바이스 기반의 위치인식 서비스, 원격검침서비스, 원격경비서비스 등의 홈네트워크 서비스를 uHome-net 테스트베드에 구현하였다. 본 연구는 LonWorks 기술 기반의 센서 네트워크가 유비쿼터스 홈네트워크의 제어 네트워크로 적용할 수 있고, 개발된 LonRF 디바이스가 센서 네트워크의 무선 노드로 사용될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • High precision machining technology has become one of the important parts in the development of a precision machine. Such a machine requires high precision positioning as well as high speed on a large workspace. For machining systems having a high precision positioning with a long stroke, it is necessary to examine the repeatability of reference position decision. Though ball-screw driven linear stages equipped linear scale have high precision feed drivers and a long stroke, they have some limitations for reference position decision if they have not equipped the accurate home sensor. This study is performed to experimentally examine the repeatability for home position decision of a magnetic sensor as a home switch of ball-screw driven linear stage by using capacitance probe.
