The organic contents of reservoir sediment can offer a good indicator to events in history of lake life. Reservoir sediment have many information of the past and future fingerprint about development direction of life cycle in biological animals. So, in this study we made an effort to know the distribution of organic contents in Daecheong reservoir sediment. Items for this investigations are such as follows: Loss on ignition, COD, Organic carbon, TN, TP, heavy metal contents, Loss on ignitions were determined in 6.44~15.91% and COD were determined in 1.606~6.859%, organic carbon in 1,077~3.743%. Contents of TP and TN were in the range of 0.083~0.757%, and 0.645~0.926%, respectively.

This paper presents a case study with a multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) system where the Floor Response Spectra (FRS) have been derived from a large ensemble of ground motion accelerograms. The FRS are evaluated by the frequency response function which is calculated numerically. The advantage of this scheme over a repetitive time-history analysis of the entire structure for each accelerogram of the set has been highlighted. The present procedure permits generation of FRS with a specified probability of exceedence.

The scientific, professional and reliable image of doctor's coats is changing over the years, and many countries around the world are changing doctor's coat designs or removing them altogether. This study researches the history and significance of doctor's coats, and based on the research, designs and develops new doctor's coats for the Seoul National University Hospital Department of Dermatology where traditional white polyester and cotton coats are still being worn. The positive results of the study indicate that doctor's coat designs can be developed in different directions that reflect certain identities and moods while maintaining professionalism.

I provide an overview of the application of hydroacoustic methods in South Korea to understand the current research status in relation to fisheries acoustics and to determine which areas require further study. One main purpose for using a scientific echosounder, a representative tool using the hydroacoustic method, is to evaluate the abundance of fisheries resources. Thus, two representative methods for abundance estimation are described. The history of fisheries acoustics worldwide is also summarized.

In this paper I examined the tangents to curves through the history of mathematics, expecially that of the Greek geometry and seventeenth century. The purpose of this examination is to show that the mathematical concept of curves is changed by the problems. And I analyzed the text books from the junior to high school. I found that the tangents which aretaught in junior school correspond to those of Greece, and the tangents in high school those of seventeenth century.

There were so many discussions about the importance of Ungi theory, but little about its application. But, in Korea, there is particular Ungi medical system. I studied the 25 organic constitutions and their prescriptions and concluded like below. In "Ounyukgihanihakbogam(五運六氣漢醫學寶鑑)", "Ounyukgihak(五運六氣學)", there are 25 organic constitutions, and each of them has its basic prescription. Like above, In "Ounyukgigeummoksuhwatosangsaengsanggeukbeop(五運六氣金木水火土相生相克法)", "Ounyukgigyeongheomcheobang(五運六氣經驗處方)", and "Jesaenglon(濟生論)", there are also 25 organic constitutions, and each has basic prescription. Moreover, there are so many prescriptions for diseases can often occur. I classified these as three groups, "Ounyukgihak(五運六氣學)" is groupⅠ, "Ounyukgihanihakbogam(五運六氣漢醫學寶鑑)" is Ⅱ, and the other books is Ⅲ, and compared each basic prescriptions. GroupⅠand Ⅱ use similar prescriptions, but groupⅢ doesn't. This Ungi medical system has little relation with "Somun(素問)". And I couldn't find the organic constitutions based on Ungi from other country's oriental medical book. 25 organic constitutions have much sameness in prescriptions. These prescriptions are used in real medical system, but not wide. Of course, it needs more research, but it has another position in oriental medicine.

An analysis method for the time-dependent nonlinear analysis of segmentally erected planar prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridges was described. To account for the time-dependent effects, load history, creep, shrinkage. aging of concrete and relaxation of prestress were considered. Changes in boundary conditions and loads, installing and removing frame elements, stressing, restressing and removing cables and prestressing tendons were incorporated for modeling segmental erection operations. One typical example on segmentally erected prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge was presented to illustrate the analysis method. Results of this example show that it is important to follow the development of stresses and deformations at all stages of construction to predict the true response of the bridge through its various load history.

The purpose of this study is to identify the legal definition and usage of cultural property term related to the architecture within the cultural property-related legal system and general legal system, and to present proper terminology and specific concepts that can be used for the architecture as cultural properties. In the current cultural property legislative system, terms about the architecture are diverse and obscure, and the definition of each term is different from the concept in the general legal system. In this context, this study presented the terminology of 'the architectural heritage' as 'a cultural property by construction act' to cover whole cultural properties related to Korean architecture. And the conceptual scope of the architectural heritage is divided into the technology and the performer related to the act, the record and the building related to the product. and Each concept needs to be specifically tailored to its object and scope. Systematic definition of terms for cultural properties related the architecture can positively influence systematization of cultural property preservation and management as well as empirical research and education on Korean architecture.

Total Quality Management (TQM) is the aggregated management philosophy for quality including production, operation, human resource, leadership, marketing, and etc. TQM is the advanced concept and philosophy rather than traditional "Quality Control" or "Quality Assurance". Nowadays, downstream costs has been increased, that made cost accountants' attention to costs of quality. Many countries have developed their own quality awards system in order to improve overall national quality level. The Deming Prize of Japan and Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) of United States are two representatives of quality prizes. We compared the two awards by means of their history, objective, coverage, and judging criteria. Deming Prize has a longer history than MBNQA. Deming Prize selects five winners a year, while MBNQA has two or three areas. The biggest difference is judgement criteria. The Deming Prizes focuses on statistical control which is a traditional quality control method, while MBNQA concentrates on modem business concept such as customer satisfaction. The suggestions to these awards are: evaluate more on information of quality; evaluate more on inter-functional relationship between quality control function and other link more financial success.e financial success.
