In the Japanese colonial period of Korean history, appropriate conclusion often overwhelmed the historical imagination, and also pointed out that it shows a similar pattern in spite of the history detective novel genre that emerged with pointing out the limitations of modern history. Historical facts showing in , the legitimacy of independence based on nationalism, and modern civilization are well known in the historical and cultural contents of the Japanese colonial period. It is the reason why applied in historical and cultural contents, as the history as is for current desire of the public to the imaginary community(nation), and as the history which current social conflicts are reflected. History, historical facts and fiction are intermingled in the contents of history, and it is creating a new 'historical imagination'. As a matter of fact, there is only one fact of the past, but the historical imagination of historical and cultural contents is diverse as there is not one historical fact made by historians. History has not yet gone to the imagination for the future, but writing history through historical and cultural contents will create a 'history of possibilities'.

This paper discusses the research of preventive medicine in terms of philosophy and history, publication and people, branch research, applied research, Gi-gong, conduction exercise and so on. Currently, fields of philosophy, history, physical education and Korean Medicine are actively participating in the research on preventive medicine. From the philosophical view, theoretical aspects of preventive medicine are closely examined. From the historical view, the historical context is of focus. From the physical education viewpoint, Gi-gong, gymnastics and physical education philosophy are studied. In the field of Korean medicine where practicality is most important, plans to apply preventive medicine to life are creating new possibilities for research on preventive medicine. In this time where social interest on health is at peak, combined research of basic theory and application will have positive effects on the development of preventive medicine.

Soon after joining the Canadian Confederation in 1867, the province of Quebec adopted the phrase Je me souviens ("As I recall") as its 'national' motto, although many Qu?b?cois do not remember today what they were supposed to memorize, as collective subject, when their government voted this motion. My thesis is that contrary to other countries which have a strong sense of history based on a secular tradition, this process was more complicated in Quebec - as if a collective memory loss lied at the heart of it's history. Through a rereading of Hubert Aquin's cult novel, Trou de m?moire (in its English translation Blackout), first published in 1968, I try to illustrate this paradox and to emphasize the heuristic functions of memory blanks, gaps and lapses in certain postmodern narratives, after the historical breakdown of "the great narratives" (Lyotard). In this perspective, the example of Quebec, through the voice of one of its more gifted yet controversial novelist, can be seen as emblematic of what happens when the mnemonic impossibility of rewriting history opens up new possibilities for writing fiction.

The purpose of this paper is to scrutinize how Parks recalling, deconstructing and reconstructing African-American memories of the absences in American history through a black Lincoln impersonator named, The Foundling Father or The Lesser Known. Parks unearths and reconstitutes a significance for the historical event of Lincoln's assassination by repetitive mimicry and verbal puns. As a pun of the Founding Father, the Foundling Father reminds us of Abraham Lincoln, one of the most venerated figures in American history. In the first act, the black Foundling Father performs as The Great Man. This inverted minstrel show of the black Foundling Father performing a white Lincoln exposes the desire of the Foundling Father to insert his narrative within the history of America. With a series of assassinations, the African-American performers figuratively murder the power and control of the American myth. In the second act, his wife Lucy and his son Brazil dig relics from the past out of 'The great hole of history' instead of the Foundling Father. Digging and burial for African-Americans are their livelihood and their calling as well. As Parks pointed out, they should locate the ancestral buried ground, dig for bones and find bones because so much of African-American history has been unrecorded, dismembered and washed out. Parks leaves the possibilities of digging and burying on the black history through Lucy and Brazil.

"Sikui-simgam ("食醫心鑑", Book for Alimentotherapist)" written by Jameun, a doctor of Tang (唐) in the 9th century, propagated alimentotherapy in Korea, China, and Japan for a long time. In this study, Sikui-simgam medical theories were studied and the medicinal ingredients and types of food therapy were analyzed to understand alimentotherapy characteristics. "Sikui-simgam" is the first food therapy formulary diverged from herbal therapy forms. Various ingredients from "Sikui-simgam" show the food culture of the Tang age and report much about cooking and cultural history. Many prescriptions in the books are the origins of present-day food culture; thus, they are important clues to understand the present food culture. This book also describes actual prescriptions in detail. Various types of prescriptions with different ingredients are unique characteristics of food therapy and show the various possibilities for food therapy prescriptions. The food therapy prescriptions of "Sikui-simgam" were designed for medical specialists, as the book contains doses and incompatibilities for food therapy. Such food therapy prescriptions were used to treat diseases, so they were used with strict standards.

The reason of the confusion of learners about the logic concepts such as implication, necessary condition and sufficient condition can be analyzed from the point of view of history of logic, discrepancy between ordinary language and formal logic, and reification which occurs in the process of cognition of discursive object and also indicates the necessity of a research. This study analysed the difficulties related to study and implication concept and attempted to the reflection of textbook and curriculum. Not that ordinary language makes the introduction of formal language easier, but that this study discussed the possibilities ordinary language intervenes the learning of formal language. This study additionally intended to understand learning difficulties of concrete subjects, abstract subjects and the gap between primary object and discursive object by understanding the process of sagging, encapsulating and reifying.

The function of history is divided into two: justification and reflection. Justification confers causality on the consequences of history, and thereby putting emphasis on the inevitability of present. From the perspective of reflection, on the other hand, history is what is selected from several possibilities, and in this respect, present is not necessarily inevitable. The former is conservative; the latter, reformative. History, however, takes both of the functions. History reproduces a community by preserving memories of the community through a record, and leads to the evolution of a community through reflection. Emerged in the precess of industrialization, Korean design, despite its relatively short history, is witnessing a growing desire to prove its existence through history. While, it is also noteworthy that there is an increasing interest in looking at the history of Korean design from the perspective of reflection. I propose four propositions necessary to study of the history of Korean design. They are as follow; 1) History is interpretation; 2) The history of the institution should be overcome; 3) A simplifying progressive view of history should be restrained; 4) Foundation for study should be established.

At the turn of the century in which European colonialism was reaching its zenith and modernization was gathering speed, public museums were institutionalized. This paper looks into the part these European modern museums played in territorializing academic disciplines like anthropology and art history. The museums to deal with are the British Museum and the National Gallery in London, Mus?e du Louvre in Paris, and Museumsinsel in Berlin. Rather than in-depth detailed analysis of each museum, the aim is to explore the ways in which these museological institutions interacting with modern disciplines in the wider colonial context objectified other cultures and formulated a framework of the world through classification and comparison of material things, on the basis of the judgement of their artistic values. This exploration is also to rethink theoretical positions and perspectives on the museum in Korea. It is remarkable in Europe that such academic fields as history, art history, anthropology and cultural studies look for new possibilities of museology in conjunction with the recent proliferation of studies on the museum as a medium to construct and deconstruct knowledge. Meanwhile, the mammoth European museums which are often considered a stronghold of museology advocate the 'universal museum' themselves, quite the modern idea but in a revised rendering. Under these circumstances, this paper seeks to shed light on the definition of the museum as an arena in which scholarly discourses about art, culture and history can be created and contested, on the effectiveness of the museum as a communication medium in a postcolonial era, and on the need to pay trans-disciplinary attention to the museum in its broadest sense.

This study compares the history of modern Korean literature written in China with the history of South Korean literature, the history of North Korean literature and the history of national literature, explores aspects of narrative and therefore examines transcultural practice presented in such texts. There have hitherto been approximately 25 works on the history of Korean literature written in China, and 16 of 25 works are on the history of modern Korean literature. Regarding their purpose, the number of pedagogical works outstandingly exceeds the number of research works. In terms of perspective and contents, it can be divided into three categories; one that only embraces the history of South Korean literature, another embracing the history of North Korean literature only and the other embracing the history of South Korean and North Korean literature. This study has selected representative texts from each category and compared recognition and narrative aspects to that of the history of South Korean literature, the history of North Korean literature and the history of Chinese literature. It further examines loci of definitions' transfer and formation as well. As a result, this study reveals valuable understanding of recognition and narration of the history of Korean literature. First, this study offers an introspective attitude, as the history of modern Korean literature accentuates influence of only Western literature, overlooking influence of Chinese literature. Second, this study proposes a new narrative perspective on the history of Unified Korean literature through independent and objective identification of the history of North Korean literature. Last, it emphasizes popularization of literature - aside from pure literary-centrism - and expands possibilities of embracing distinct works relevant to multimedia.

The attractiveness of e-sports games¹ and the way it is spread has changed in recent years. Instead of conventional approaches, such as advertising campaigns or televised events, spectators are increasingly drawn to online platforms, which offer more opportunities for communication. Besides live streaming services like Twitch. tv, where spectators can watch matches in real-time or via recorded videos, social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter are now adding e-sports related content to their networks [1]. Especially the combination of live streams on Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook opens many possibilities regarding how information is shared. This might be an efficient way of spreading attractiveness among female audiences. This paper focuses on the attractiveness of e-sports events in general for females. It has been hypothesized that there are certain factors that influence this attractiveness. Studying past research papers and online resources, three factors were identified: The players' behavior and charisma, the impact of social media as well as videogames themselves. It is found that females are attracted to e-sport games because they allow them to engage more in the game compared to other videogames. This is because there are no time constraints that require players to accomplish certain tasks within a specific time frame. As such, female gamers can choose how much effort they want to put into the game depending on their personal preferences.
