  • In contemporary education, the rapid advancement of digital technologies elevates demands for integrating the latest tools into the learning process. Mathematical analysis, as a discipline, benefits from computer mathematics in distance education, enhancing practical aspects and enabling individualized learning. This article addresses the integration of the Maple computer mathematics system into higher education, specifically in teaching "Mathematical Analysis." Emphasizing its role in distance learning, computer mathematics optimizes the educational environment, reducing the time required for knowledge acquisition. The article showcases the application of Maple in finding extremum points and introduces an educational software simulator, enabling students to practice the method. The simulator, developed within Maple, facilitates self-checking and enhances the study of functions. Conclusions drawn from the study highlight the positive impact of these tools on distance education, affirming Maple's role in enhancing professional training and information culture among higher education students.

아동의 안전에 관한 인식과 교육 실태 조사 연구 (Research on the Cognition and Education of Safety for Children)

  • It is necessary to examine from primary school children's viewpoint to perception of safety as to how they cope with a condition threatening safety at the realistic world with risky environment and whether knowledge obtained through education is transmitted to action in a correct way. For this, this study explored and analyzed children's perspective to safety felt in life, their achievement of education to safety as trainees, and their perception extent to safety. As a result of it, following conclusion could be obtained. First, as for safety on their way to school and home, the lower grade they were, the more they felt safe, but the higher they were, the more they felt uneasy, which was examined that they generally had uncomfortable mind. Second, as for whether safety education was performed or not, it was indicated that safety education was generally executed, but lower graders responded that safety education was executed, but high graders responded that it was not executed. Third, as for observance of traffic rules, it was examined lower graders kept them well, but higher graders did not do so. Fourth, as for safety of play, it was indicated lower graders wore protective equipment by parents' concern, but higher graders did not wear them since they were full of confidence counting on their capability. Fifth, as for life safety, it was indicated the area most preferentially educated from parents' viewpoint was traffic safety, and the next ones were gas and fire safety. Sixth, as for fire safety, it was indicated they did not play with fire, but higher graders compared to lower ones, played with fire as the means of curiosity and play. Thus, curricula for children's safety education executed from adults' viewpoint should be established, and assessment of children's safety education should get out of the limitation of execution of safety education to habituated action by the transmission of children's knowledge. Also it is urgent to develop programs with which to perform children;'s education at the level of children, establish and operate safety education facilities for practice education that teachers and children can receive safety education through experience by building up children's safety education related entities. And it is thought that safety should not left to only children, but their safety would be kept by developing and training safety education programs to all organizations and individuals related to safety.

기숙형대학(RC) 교육 프로그램의 운영 구축방안 연구 (A Study on the Establishment of Education Program Operation Plan for Residence College)

  • 기숙형대학(Residence College, 이하 RC)은 기존의 단순 주거 공간만으로 사용되어 왔던 기숙사와는 개념이 다른 생활과 교육의 일체공간과 교육 프로그램을 제공하는 시스템이다. 최근 대학들은 고등교육환경의 변화에 대응하고 차별화 된 교육을 제공하기 위한 방안으로, 또 4차 산업시대형 인재양성을 위하여 RC를 도입해 왔다. 그러나 국내에서 진행되고 있는 RC와 RC 교육 프로그램은 외국의 사례에서 찾아볼 수 있는 종합적이고 통합된 프로그램과는 다소 거리가 있으며 RC 교육 프로그램 개발도 미흡하며 실질적인 연구도 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 이번 연구에서는 향후 예상되는 급속한 교육환경의 변화에 대응하기 위하여 RC를 도입하여 운영중인 국내대학의 RC 교육 프로그램의 사례를 살펴보고 일찍이 RC를 도입해서 지금의 체계적인 시스템을 구축한 유럽의 명문 사립대학 중 케임브리지 대학과 미국의 웰슬리 대학의 RC 교육 프로그램을 비교 분석하여, 최근 우리 대학교육에서 중요하게 논의되고 있는 새로운 패러다임을 반영한 RC 교육 프로그램의 효율적인 운영 구축방안을 제시하고자 한다.

창의 성향, 환경, 과정, 산물의 상관 분석 및 과학 창의성 상·하위 학생의 창의 성향과 환경의 차이 (Differences in Creative Personality and Environment between Higher-Level and Lower-Level Students in Scientific Creativity)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생을 대상으로 창의 성향, 환경, 과정, 산물의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 창의 과정과 산물을 측정하는 과학 창의성 검사 도구, 창의 성향과 환경에 관한 자기 보고식 검사 도구를 초등학교 5학년 학생 105명에 투입하였다. 검사 도구에서 창의 성향은 인지적 성향과 정의적 성향으로, 창의 환경은 가정환경과 학교 환경으로 구성된다. 또한, 정량적 분석 결과로 설명할 수 없는 현상을 탐구하기 위하여 창의 과정에서 평균 이상의 점수를 받았으나 창의 산물에서 가장 낮은 점수를 받은 4명의 학생과 창의 산물 점수가 가장 높은 4명의 학생을 대상으로 성향 및 환경을 심층적으로 조사하는 면담을 실행하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 창의 성향과 환경이 창의 과정과 산물의 관계에서 매개효과를 나타내는지 알아보기 위해 상관 분석을 한 결과, 유의한 상관성이 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 학생 면담 결과, 과학 창의성이 높은 학생의 공통적인 창의 성향 특징으로 미래의 성공을 위해 현재의 어려움을 참을 수 있다는 점, 주변 사람들의 말을 비판적으로 듣는다는 점이 있었다. 셋째, 과학 창의성이 높은 학생은 자유로운 의견을 존중해주는 가정환경에 있지만, 과학 창의성이 낮은 학생은 자신의 의견을 무시 혹은 그에 반응하지 않는 가정환경에 있었다. 이 연구는 향후 과학 창의성 교육의 정의적, 환경적 측면에서 고려해야 할 점들을 시사하고 있다.

Mitigating $CH_4$ Emissions in Semi-Aerobic Landfills: Impacts of Operating Conditions on Abundance and Community Structure of Methanotrophs in Cover Soils

  • Methanotrophs are the most important sink of $CH_4$, which is a more highly potent greenhouse gas than $CO_2$. Methanotrophic abundance and community diversity in cover soils from two typical semi-aerobic landfills (SALs) in China were detected using real-time polymerase chain reaction (real-time-PCR) and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) based on 16S rRNA genes, respectively. Real time-PCR showed that Type I methanotrophs ranged from $1.07{\times}10^6$ to $2.34{\times}10^7$ copies/g soil and that of Type II methanotrophs from $1.51{\times}10^7$ to $1.83{\times}10^8$ copies/g soil. The ratio of Type II to Type I methanotrophic copy numbers ranged from 5.61 to 21.89, indicating that Type II methanotrophs dominated in SAL. DGGE revealed that Type I methanotrophs responded more sensitively to the environment, changing as the community structure varied with different soil types and locations. Methylobacter, Methylosarcina, and Methylomicrobium for Type I, and Methylocystis for Type II were most prevalent in the SAL cover layer. Abundant interflow $O_2$ with high $CH_4$ concentration in SALs is the reason for the higher population density of methanotrophs and the higher enrichment of Type II methanotrophs compared with anaerobic landfills and other ecosystems, which proved a conclusion that increasing the oxygen supply in a landfill cover layer would greatly improve $CH_4$ mitigation.

  • In today's information-rich society, the need for information literacy has urgency. Three tasks of information processing are filtering, meaning-matching, meaning-construction that could be strengthened through inquiry-based learning. The cycles of reflection and practice develop the habit of mind, or conscious information processing that allow the learners to acquire higher level of information literacy. An on-line inquiry-based learning environment designed for information literacy may help learners to perform their lifelong learning better with the ability to appreciate, locate, evaluate, and use information effectively.

Silage preparation and fermentation quality of natural grasses treated with lactic acid bacteria and cellulase in meadow steppe and typical steppe

  • Objective: In order to improve fermentation quality of natural grasses, their silage preparation and fermentation quality in meadow steppe (MS) and typical steppe (TS) were studied. Methods: The small-scale silages and round bale silages of mixed natural grasses in both steppes were prepared using the commercial lactic acid bacteria (LAB) inoculants Chikuso-1 (CH, Lactobacillus plantarum) and cellulase enzyme (AC, Acremonium cellulase) as additives. Results: MS and TS contained 33 and 9 species of natural grasses, respectively. Stipa baicalensis in MS and Stipa grandi in TS were the dominant grasses with the highest dry matter (DM) yield. The crude protein (CP), neutral detergent fiber and water-soluble carbohydrate of the mixed natural grasses in both steppes were 8.02% to 9.03%, 66.75% to 69.47%, and 2.02% to 2.20% on a DM basis, respectively. All silages treated with LAB and cellulase were well preserved with lower pH, butyric acid and ammonia-N content, and higher lactic acid and CP content than those of control in four kinds of silages. Compared with CH- or AC-treated silages, the CH+ AC-treated silages had higher lactic acid content. Conclusion: The results confirmed that combination with LAB and cellulase may result in beneficial effects by improving the natural grass silage fermentation in both grasslands.

요양시설 입소노인의 시설 만족도, 불안, 자아존중감, 스트레스, 우울이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Facility Satisfaction, Anxiety, Self-esteem, Stress, and Depression of the Elderly in Care Facilities on Their Life Satisfaction)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 요양시설 입소노인의 시설 만족도, 불안, 자아 존중감, 스트레스, 우울이 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지를 밝히려는 것이다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 K시에 소재한 요양시설 입소노인 271명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSSWIN 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test, 일원변량분석, 상관분석 등을 실시하였고, 실증분석은 유의수준 5%에서 검증하였다. 분석결과에 대하여, 첫째, 입소노인의 성별과 연령, 교육정도, 배우자 유무에 따른 생활만족도의 차이가 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 생활만족도는 서비스 만족도, 의료서비스 만족도, 시설환경 만족도, 자아존중감과 상관이 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 자아존중감과 서비스 만족도, 시설환경 만족도가 높을수록, 가족관계 스트레스가 낮을수록 생활만족도가 높다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과로 볼 때, 요양시설 입소노인의 생활만족도는 자아존중감과 서비스 만족도, 시설환경 만족도가 긍정적인 영향을 주는 중요한 요소임을 시사한 것이라 할 수 있다.

Smart education should ensure that the benefits of the global information society can be used to meet educational needs and interests. A special place is occupied by computer-based educational multimedia systems that allow you to deepen your knowledge, reduce the duration of training, and increase the number of students per teacher. The main principles of smart education are highlighted. Improving the efficiency of training in a modern higher education institution is impossible without the introduction of smart technologies in the organization of the educational process.
