  • TCR subunits are members of membrane-bound receptors which allow the fast and efficient elimination of the specific fish pathogens have regulated function in adaptive immunity. Sequence structure of TCR subunits have been reported for various teleosts, but the information of each TCR subunit functional characterization through expression analysis in fish was unknown. In this study, we examined the gene expression of TCR subunits in the early developmental stages and observed transcript levels in various tissues from healthy adult olive flounder by RT-PCR. The mRNA expression of alpha subunit was already detected in the previous hatching step. But the transcripts of another TCR subunit were not observed during embryo development and increased after hatching and maintained until metamorphosis at the same level. It was found that all TCR subunits mRNAs are commonly expressed in the immune-related organ such as spleen, kidney and gill, also weak expressed in fin and eye. TCR alpha and beta subunit were expressed in brain, whereas gamma and delta were not expressed same tissue. The sequence alignment analysis shows that there are more than 80% sequence homology between TCR subunits. Because it has a high similarity of amino acid sequence to expect similar in function, but expression analysis show that will have may functional diversity due to different time and place of expression.

  • VC merging involves distinguishing cells from an identical merged VC label. Various approaches have been proposed to help this identification process. However, most of them incur additional buffering, protocol overhead and/or variable delay. They make the provision of QoS difficult to achieve. So it was proposed a merge capable scheduler to support VC-merging (VCMS). However, in situations where all VCs are to be merged or the incoming traffic load is very low, it could happen that there are not enough non-merging cells to snoop. In this situation the scheduler uses special control cells to fill the empty time slots out. Too many control cells can cause high cell loss ratio and an additional packet transfer delay. To overcome the drawbacks, we propose a Sequence Skipping(SS) method where the sequencers skip the empty queues and insert SS cells. We show SS method is suitable for VC-merging and can reduce the cell loss ratio and the mean packet transfer delay through simulations.

  • This study analyzed the classroom discourse between teacher and students based on the Mehan(1979a)'s theory to examine the characteristics of the classroom discourse between teacher and students in high school statistics class. The results of this study on the structure of class showed that the statistics class in this study adopted knowledge transmission-oriented teacher-led class in which the framework of introductiondevelopment- arrangement, which is Mehan's basic 3 stages, is clearly represented. The results of examining I-R-E sequence showed that $I_T-R_T$ structure, in which the teacher asks questions and the teacher talks about the answer, frequently appeared. And the statistics class in this study was monological class in which students hardly participated. Through these results of this study, it was found that teacher should form the statistical context, in which students can participate in discourse, and build discourse learning community and induce argumentational discourse through metaprocess elicitation.

  • Surface mounters are used to mount the parts of electronic products on PCB(Printed Circuit Board. Those machines rely on high precision, high productivity, and software for accomodation of use. In this paper, two algorithms and a software which can give the users the acco-modation and high productivity for rotary type surface mounters are presented. The algo- rithms for development of of the software consider all factors which affect the effeciency of the operation. And the interface between user and machine for the accomodation of use can be achieved through the developed software.

  • The full-length cDNA of LeAPR1 encoded a protein of 461 amino acid residues, which contained homology with phosphoadenosine phosphosulphate reductase (PAPS reductase) in N-terminal and an adenylylsulfate reductase in N-term and C-terminal. Analysis of the deduced amino acid sequence of LeAPR1 revealed that it shares high sequence identity with potato StAPR (96% identity)(Gene bank accession no. CDC44841). We found that multiple copies of LeAPR1 gene are present in the tomato genome through southern blot using genomic DNA was digested with 3 different restriction enzymes. The expression of LeAPR1 was also examined in various organs and its expression was also detected at high levels in roots and stems. Only high amounts of LeAPR1 transcripts were detected at high transcripts in the leaves at time 0, and then reduced as the plant stressed by the NaCl and abscisic acid (ABA). After 24h treatment of NaCl and ABA were showed increasing patterns of LeAPR1 gene. Time course of LeAPR1 gene expression was examined under oxidative stresses from metyl viologen (MV) and hydrogen peroxide ($H_2O_2$). In the presence of 10 mM $H_2O_2$ and $50\;{\mu}M$ MV, the levels of LeAPR1 transcript in leaves decreased after 1 h, and then increased strongly, peaked at 24 h. Our results indicated that LeAPR1 may play a role function of circadian regulation involved in abiotic stresses signaling pathways.

  • The previous MCCs(Motor Control Centers) have the demerits of high cost and much manhour for rework because it is impossible for us to standardize the previous MCCs and they have many manual connections. The customers require the products which can operate with the SCADA system by digitalizing the functions of the current MCCs and the systematized products with capability of remote control. To solve these disadvantages and requirements, we developed the Intelligent Motor Control Center. This system has the various functions such as protection, measuring, and communication. Using these functions, we can monitor motor status through communication with the upper system and define the circuit for lowering connection costs according tn starting type and shortening the manufactural period by the graphic editor. The development of this system results in establishment of the competitive structure with domestic area and Perfect automatic monitoring through linkage with the SCADA system.

  • The sequence of hydroxypyruvate isomerase gene was obtained in NCBI. In this study, the hydroxypyruvate isomerase gene of Bombyx.mori was identified and annotated with bioinformatics tools. The result was confirmed by RT-PCR, prokaryotic expression, mass spectrographic analysis and sub-cellular localization. The hydroxypyruvate isomerase cDNA comtains a 783bp ORF, and has 4 exons. The deduced protein has 260 amino acid residues with the predicted molecular weight of 29169.30 Da, isoelectric point of 6.10, and contains conserved PRK09997 and Hfi domains. The hydroxypyruvate isomerases of Nasonia vitripennis and Bombyx mori have a high homology. Through RTPCR analysis, we found that this transcript was present in testis, ovary, blood-lymph, fat body, midgut, silk gland and tuba Malpighii. This protein was located in cytoplasm through immunohistochemistry. We submitted the cloned gene under the accession number EU344910. The enzyme has been classified under accession number EC 5.3.1.22.

  • The yield and quality of a micromanufacturing process are important management factors. In real-world situations, it is difficult to achieve a high yield from a manufacturing process because the products are produced through multiple nanoscale manufacturing processes. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the processes and equipment that lead to low yields. This paper proposes an analytical method to identify the processes and equipment that cause a defect in the plastic ball grid array (PBGA) during the manufacturing process using logistic regression and stepwise variable selection. The proposed method was tested with the lot trace records of a real work site. The records included the sequence of equipment that the lot had passed through and the number of faults of each type in the lot. We demonstrated that the test results reflect the real situation in a PBGA manufacturing process, and the major equipment parameters were then controlled to confirm the improvement in yield; the yield improved by approximately 20%.

  • The major reason that reduces the performance of satellite communication channels is known as the nonlinearities of high power amplifiers(HPA's) which are usually modeled by memoryless nonlinear systems, in the channels. This paper proposes a nonlinear adaptive predistorter, which predistorts the input symbols such that the symbol passing through the nonlinear HPA preserves the desired constellation, and derives the region of convergence for the predistorter. The predistorter has capability of coping adaptively with any time-varying environment such as changes of operating points if HPA since the coefficients of the predistorter which has a form of truncated Tayler series are obtained by recursive optimization procedure utilizing QAM data sequence directely. Simulation results show that the proposed one with 16 QAM input has better performance than the conventional fixed predistorter with the same input.
