지난 몇 년간 국내에서는 초고속 인터넷서비스를 보편적 서비스로 지정하는 문제에 대한 연구가 그다지 활발하지 못했다. 이는 그동안 정부가 초고속 인터넷서비스를 보편적 서비스로 제공하기 위해 다양한 정책을 실시함에 따라 초고속 인터넷서비스를 굳이 보편적 서비스의 역무 범위에 포함시켜야할 필요성이 크게 부각되지 않았고 지난 2015년 말 기준으로 가입자가 2000만 명을 넘어서는 등 지난 몇 년간 초고속 인터넷서비스의 가입자가 빠른 속도로 증가하면서 초고속 인터넷서비스의 보편적 서비스 지정을 둘러싼 문제에 대한 관심이 크게 줄었기 때문이다. 하지만 초고속 인터넷서비스를 보편적 서비스로 지정하는 문제와 보편적 서비스로 제공되어야 할 초고속 인터넷서비스의 내용과 대상을 명확히 하는 일은 여전히 중요한 과제이다. 이는 초고속 인터넷서비스의 보편적 서비스 지정여부와 보편적 서비스로 제공되어야 할 내용과 대상이 어떻게 정해지느냐에 따라 국민들이 초고속 인터넷서비스를 제공받을 권리 유무와 그 권리의 대상과 범위가 달라질 뿐만 아니라 정부의 통신정책에도 적지 않은 영향을 미치기 때문이다. 이 같은 문제인식을 바탕으로 본 논문은 국내외 사례와 기존 이론들에 대한 검토 및 분석 작업을 통해 초고속 인터넷서비스의 보편적 서비스 지정의 필요성과 함께 초고속 인터넷서비스가 보편적 서비스로 지정될 경우 포함되어야 할 내용과 범주 등을 제시했다.

A few recent international surveys reported that Korea ranks the top with respect to the high-speed information and communication network subscription per 100 people in the world. Such infrastructure has been bringing about broad changes in Internet service for both business and individual users. By conducting a questionnaire survey on a moderate size of sample proportional to the population of each region across country, we try to analyze what factors might explain the level of Internet service satisfaction with respect to security, searching, and convenience dimensions. According to the test results, several factors such as sex, age, kind of network lines, usage frequency, e-mail usage, e-shopping, online problem experience might explain the different levels of Internet service satisfaction in the high-speed Internet network. This study might shed a guidance to scholars conducting Internet-related studies and practitioners who plan information policies and business strategies.

This is an exploratory research to examine the high-speed Internet access service's quality There are relatively scanty studies on telecommunication service quality such as the high-speed Internet access service. It has long been considered that service qualify are composed of process quality and outcome quality. Conducting an empirical research, we proposed that traditional outcome quality should be segmented with technical quality and outcome quality. Outcome quality is related to meeting consumer's needs to seek terminal value. In this paper, we explore to diagnose the well-known SERVQUAL's applicability to telecommunication industry and suggest some strategic and practical implications.

The growth of Internet usage even accelerated by the spread of high-speed Internet access network such as ADSI is affecting our socioeconomic activities and culture in a great way. Korea is recently reported to be the number one high-speed Internet network subscription per 100 people in the world. In a way to reflect this situation, we collect a moderate size of sample proportional to the population of each region across country and investigate what factors might explain the level of user's dissatisfaction with respect to Internet service they have been receiving. The results indicate that the set of gender, age, Internet usage, service kinds, incoming e-mails, and e-shopping is significantly influencing user's dissatisfaction, in that dissatisfaction is measured in 11 perspectives. In particular, user's age, gender, and e-shopping experiences are considered to be mostly explainable.

최근 국내 초고속 인터넷 서비스가 대부분의 가정에서 이용하는 보편적인 서비스로 자리를 잡게 됨에 따라 사업자들 간의 가입자 유치 경쟁도 점점 더 치열해지고 있다. 사업자들 간의 출혈경쟁을 줄이고 수익성을 높이기 위해서는 기존 고객의 충성도를 높이는 방어적인 마케팅 전략이 효과적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 설문 조사를 통해 초고속 인터넷 서비스의 충성도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 도출하였다. 분석결과, 서비스 자체의 품질 및 애프터 서비스에 대한 만족 정도가 서비스의 충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 실무자들에게 고객 전략에 대한 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대한다.

휴대 인터넷은 high-speed 무선 인터넷 서비스를 제공하는 새로운 서비스이다. high-speed 무선 인터넷 서비스는 터미널 이동성을 제공한다 휴대인터넷은 2006년에 상업화될 것으로 예상된다. 네트워크 확장과 터미널 이동성은 효율적 소개와 분산 이동 인터넷 서비스를 위해서 보장되어야 한다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 휴대 인터넷의 이동성과 호가장성을 보장하기 위해서 이동 IPv6 기술과 휴대 인터넷의 이동성을 적용한 메커니즘을 제안한다. 제안된 메커니즘은 보안성을 향상시키기 위해서 인터 도메인에서 다이어미터 프로토콜을 적용한다. 또한, 제안된 메커니즘은 데이터 보안성을 제공하기 위해 최소의 시그널 수로 데이터를 안전하게 전송한다.

HPI (High-speed Portable Internet) system which provides high speed internet services is going to be commercialized soon. Since HPI provides simultaneously four different service types such as UGS (Unsolicited Grant Service), rtPS (real time Polling Service), nrtPS(non-real time Polling Service), and BE (Best Effort) under different QoS (Quality of Service) requirements and limited wireless channel resources, efficient packet scheduling mechanisms are necessary to increase the utilization of channels as well as to satisfy the various QoS requirements. This study regards the traffic data to be served as time series and proposes a new packet scheduling algorithm based on the nonparametric statistical test. The performance of the newly proposed algorithm is evaluated through the simulation analysis using a simulator that can evaluate the performance of packet scheduling mechanisms under various values of system parameters and measures such as packet delay time, data transmission rate, number of loss packets, and channel utilization.

This paper analyzes the causal relationship between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in Korean High-speed Internet market, where has achieved a rapid development in these days. According to the previous literatures, profitability results from customer loyalty influenced by customer satisfaction. So, we firstly define and analyze their relationships with the survey data from 737 subscribers, by using Factor Analysis and SEM(Structural Equation Model). Secondly, we find and select major cause variables to affect customer loyalty. Finally, we suggest some useful implications to marketers on the basis of the analysis results. As a result, customer loyalty depends on the degree of customer satisfaction on network quality and service quality in high-speed Internet service. Particularly the satisfaction level on network quality affects customer loyalty relatively stronger than one on service quality. Thus it is suggested that marketers invest in improving network quality rather than service quality to enhance customer loyalty.

In recent, the rapid convergence of telecommunication and broadcasting has been considered as one of the hot issues in the IT industry. This convergence will provide telecom operators with both opportunities and threatens. This is because that telecom operators can enter the broadcasting industry, whereas broadcasters will also have a chance to provide telecom services. This work aims to discuss the business strategy for telecom operators to provide a TV VOD service, one of the convergence services between telecommunication and broadcasting, through the high-speed internet which is so much served in Korea. It seems that this service will achieve two business goals, namely "to minimise an additional investment" and "to find out a new benefit source", by fully utilising a current high-speed internet infrastructure. Finally, this paper mainly contains the market overview of in telecom and broadcasting service, the definition of TV VOD service and the necessity for this service, a market forecasting and the provision strategy of major telecom operators, and key success factors and a benefit model.

인터넷의 급속한 보급과 대용량 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 요구가 나날이 증가하고 있다. 기존의 무선랜은 도달거리가 짧아서 가입자가 기지국(Base Station)에서 멀어지면 서비스 품질이 저하되고, 무선인터넷은 사용비용이 높다. 최근에 세계 최초로 국내에서 개발한 휴대 인터넷 시스템인 와이브로(WiBro: Wireless Broadband Internet) 시스템은 휴대폰과 무선 랜의 중간 영역에 위치한 이동초고속인터넷서비스이다. 본 논문에서는 와이브로 시스템의 근간을 이루는 IEEE 802.16 BWA을 기반으로 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 서비스별 트래픽 모델과 특성을 분석하고, 다양한 트래픽 혼합 비율에 따라 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며, 이를 토대로 최종적으로는 WiBro 시스템에서 셀 당 수용 가능한 최대 가입자 수를 산출하였다.
